Hi, I am looking for someone to write about my work, primarily for SEO purposes. Does anyone here run a blog?
No AI slop

I’m looking for an experienced Shopify developer to build a website for a handcrafted, artisanal furniture and home decor brand.

The UI designs will be provided, so the primary requirement is accurate, high-quality implementation of the designs in Shopify, while making sure the website remains easy for the admin team to manage and update independently - without needing a developer for day-to-day changes. Would love to see some interactions you've developed on Shopify itself.

The scope will include:

• Full Shopify e-commerce website setup and development
• Implementation of provided Figma designs
• Responsive development across desktop, tablet and mobile
• Product, collection, cart and checkout experience
• Standard pages such as About, Contact, etc.
• Projects listing page
• Project detail page/template — we collaborate with designers, work on government projects and participate in exhibitions, so these pages need to function more like editorial/project case studies than standard products
• A flexible CMS/content structure so admins can easily add/edit products, projects, images, text and other content
• Some basic but thoughtful interactions/micro-interactions where appropriate
• Integration of any necessary Shopify apps/features
• Basic SEO/performance considerations
• Testing and bug fixing before launch

The website will primarily use Shopify’s existing ecosystem/themes, but I’m looking for someone who can customise and extend the theme properly rather than relying on static sections or image-based implementations.

I’d like to work collaboratively during execution and am open to discussing the budget based on your experience and skill set.

Please include the word “Artisan” in your message so I know you’ve read the brief carefully.

This is a one-time project, but attention to detail, clean implementation and the ability to bring the designs to life beyond a basic theme setup are important.

Please send:

• Your Shopify portfolio, especially custom/agency-quality websites
• Examples of work involving custom Shopify theme development
• Your estimated timeline
• Your min and max budget/rate

Designs are expected to be ready within the next few days.

Hi everyone,

I'm in Hyderabad and I'm a complete beginner at freelancing. I've only done salaried jobs before.

I got talking to the owner of a small Australian company on LinkedIn and we agreed that I'll work for them as a contractor for 12 months on a fixed monthly fee. Nothing is signed yet and neither of us has done this before.

I honestly don't know where to start.

I'd really appreciate simple answers from anyone who has done this:

1. What paperwork do I need to start? Is there a standard document like an offer letter for freelancers?
2. How do I get paid from Australia and what should I tell them?
3. How do taxes work? Do I need to do anything before the first payment?
4. Can this income help me get a loan later?
5. Do I need to pay a CA or can I manage on my own?

Please explain like I know nothing because I really don't. Thank you!
