Hear me out, because I know the DUCKBOY defenders are gonna come for my throat.

​If you look at their discography, New World Depression was their absolute magnum opus. That was the peak of the "US" era, where they felt like a single, unstoppable entity. But by the time we got to Thy Kingdom Come and especially Thy Will Be Done, the chemistry was completely gone. Every song felt totally disjointed, either entirely "Ruby-bounded" or "$crim-bounded." It stopped being a duo and started sounding like Artist X ft. Artist Y.

​But listening to their solo drops is what really exposed the truth.

​I listened to Viacrucis and Runaway, and I realized something: That IS the $uicideboy$ sound. All the dark, heavy, dense atmosphere that made us fall in love with the Boy$ comes 100% from $crim. He is the architect. Then you listen to Ruby’s solo stuff and it’s just alternative pop-punk.

​Back in the golden days, it was hard to tell them apart because the music felt so cohesive, but now it’s obvious: that "chemistry" was just $crim’s solo vision all along. Ruby was essentially just a luxury feature. He provided a crazy vocal range to paint over $crim’s canvas, but the actual DNA of G59 belongs entirely to $crim.

​If you take Ruby out of the equation, you still have the core $b sound. If you take $crim out, the whole G59 mythology dies.

This sub is ass if you aren’t shitting on scrim being Christian or talking about people in the community like fan pages or reactors. which is so ironic to me because yall do what they do but privately and anonymously on this app instead with no confidence, it’s almost like yall are whispering your opinions 😂

Has $UICIDEBOY$ ever booked any LGBTQ+ Members? IIRC I dont think they have but I might be wrong? I think its a little weird considering $crim and Ruby's past, I know they have booked allies such as Sematary, Denzel Curry, Ghostemane, ETC but what about transgenders? The closest they've gotten to booking a trans person is probably ekkstacy, is that it not a little weird? Correct me if I'm wrong

Not like a diehard $b/g59 fan or anything so excuse myself if i sound like a poser haha, but two of my favorite songs in the world are monochromatic by $b and cortisol by scrim, they have just this kinda emotional melancholy kind sad-ish? feel to them. i really just want more songs like this. the emotional atmospheric kinda sound. hard to explain. if anyone could reccomend any songs at all that have this same exact sound and feel, whether theyre different artists or not, thatd be so awesome

Bucket of bummer ass album, I mean am I right? I think it's a beautiful album, I love it but what a depressing ass album. It's misery in every corner of that joint, n some of the shit is said so casually that it's like damn. I got like halfway through that joint the first time and I almost started to feel bad lol, I mean damn. hi, im currently a archivist looking for a few scrim uploads and mixtapes from the old days, wondering if anyone has a copy of, Drug flow 2 intro MV, SPOOKED MV FEAT K GOTTI. tapes as Steady Smokin' Vol. 1,Steady Smokin Vol. 2 "This is a Scrim Beat" Edition,DJ Scrim & DJ Fletch Present LSU: Louisiana State University. i have most other scrim tapes from that era as i have a huge archive, but i am missing these. if anyone has it or has leads. let me know
