I watched Lantern and started to choke up on the opening scene.

I know they drove the GN off the cliff a tear came to my eye.

1984 Buick Regal

Hello everyone new on here. Got a question so I did a engine swap on my 1984 Buick Regal I put in a 350 engine with 700r4 tranmission. I used the original crossmember I just drilled a new hole I also used the original transmission mount from the v6 and transmission that was in it. The thing is it all went together OK but the transmission mount is one of those that's offset. To me the transmission looks like it's leaning sideways towards the passenger side. So my question is has anyone ever stuck with the original crossmember doing a swap or do you usually go with the double hump aftermarket crossmember. The transmission shop were it's at now says everything looks good but I don't know why there's still doubt in my mind

ATK HP109 Chevy LQ4 6.0L Base Engine 505HP

I’m new to the LS Swap world so I thought I would reach out for some expert advice from those that have lived in the world for a bit.

I’m planning to LS swap a recently acquired G-Body wagon. I was considering the Summit 5.3 long block then I realized that I could go with the ATK HP109 Chevy LQ4 6.0
for about an additional $1,200 which seems like a no brainer to me. However I’m wondering if anyone out there has used the ATK HP109 Chevy LQ4 6.0L Base Engine 505HP for a swap. If so, how does it perform and how does it sound? Additionally, can anyone offer any advice on swapping an 6.0 into a G-body.

Brand new defective fuel sending pump

I ordered this 22 gallon sending unit off eBay a while back as jegs was out of stock. Took it on a long road trip and while the gas gage would read at 1/4 full, it only used 10-11 gallons or the needle was almost on empty.

Now that I could finally ordered a jegs replacement, it finally reads correctly! At a 1/4 full on the gage, I just filled up 16 gallons! I used a Jegs 80-89 3-line sending unit so I could make it breath better from tank to charcoal canister.

eBay seller was so full of sh*t when I asked for help and asked if this was defective. It was! When the float arm was half way, it would only read 30-35 ohms out of 90. The Jegs 80-89 3-line sender unit would read perfectly at 45 ohms.

Window sticker

Finally made up a reproduction window sticker for my 87 SS. Did it all in MS paint. Really easy to do, good rainy / slow day project.

1987 Monte Carlo LS

Hey everyone, I’m 19 and recently got a 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS 2-door with the 4.3L V6, and I’m joining because I’m trying to learn as much as I can about these cars and fix mine up myself. It runs and drives, but I’ve got a pretty long list of things I’m working through: the entire dash isn’t working — fuel gauge, speedometer, odometer, etc. — the dash/interior lights don’t work, the dome light isn’t working, the right turn signal and side marker have intermittent issues (especially after rain), and there’s some wiring that looks like it was previously messed with. I’ve also dealt with stalling and bogging issues in the past that ended up being related to a vacuum leak/sensor issue, and I’m still working through some body damage from an accident. Right now, my biggest focus is figuring out the turn signal/side marker problem and getting the dome light working, since I’d really like to get all the basic electrical stuff sorted out. I’m pretty new to working on cars, but I genuinely enjoy learning and figuring things out, and I just bought my first multimeter so I’m trying to diagnose problems properly instead of just throwing parts at them. Looking forward to learning from everyone and hopefully getting t

The 88 Super Sport.

Picked this up right before the pandemic started. I was looking for a truck and found it sitting in a field near my base. Was all sun faded and partially stripped. Knew something was special about it and once I confirmed the low miles and only had one owner I bought it.

Soon as I got it the pandemic kicked off and the Army told us to stay home/in our barracks for a month and half. So that gave me lots of time to replace anything I could on it myself in my barracks parking lot.

Been a work in progress for the last 6 years. Glad paint is all done with now. Replaced all the interior. Bushings. Added stripes/decals so people would stop chasing me down thinking it was a grand national, And more. Makes great gas mileage actually, average 20 mpg on the highway. Last is AC if that ever happens. Really just a summer fun car now.

Now has 98,000 confirmed miles.

Anyone else had problems with gbodyparts.com?

I recently ordered some parts from gbodyparts.com for the first time and have been super disappointed with their service. They sent me the wrong parts twice, which has resulted in delays to repair an El Camino as well as the time and gas to send them back the wrong parts. Anyone else had these issues? Alternatively, can anyone recommend a better supplier? Mikesmonties? Dixie Restoration? I will need to purchase additional parts for a restoration and need better service to meet a deadline. Thanks!
