Fourth merit list

There hasn't been a fourth list posting for bs psychology? Will there be no fourth list?

I know that they took a longer time to post the second and third list for psychology too but its been longer now. So im thinking if they would even be one?

GCU Lahore vs Kinnaird College for MS Clinical Psychology?

Which one is better overall for MS clinical psychology? My overall goal is a good university life (good teachers, education and research, and more clinical placement opportunities) and a recognized degree that gives me more opportunities after graduation. Like i know they are both affiliated with HEC but which one has a bigger name?
Also i would really appreciate it if someone who is doing MS clinical psychology from here can share their experience.

BS Management or BS Public Administration

One of my relatives has gotten in both of these programs. Considering they got in the morning session for BS Management and the evening session for BS Public Administration, can any current or graduated students help us out with choosing the better one? They are academically interested in both but we want to know if the academic quality of one is better than the other in GCUL or if morning and evening sessions have a wildly different experience.
help us out guys :)

I HAVE APPLIED FOR OPEN MERIT IS IT POSSIBLE?? TO APPLAY FOR SELF

Assalam-o-Alaikum,

Mujhe ek cheez clear karni thi. Maine admission form Open Merit ke liye fill kiya tha, Not for self.

Ab tak English Literature ki 3 merit lists aa chuki hain aur mera aggregate 88.03% hai, lekin mera naam miss hy.

Kisi ne mujhe bataya ke mere application par Morning & Evening dono mentioned hain, is liye shayad mera naam Self-Support (Evening) merit list mein bhi consider ho sakta hai.

Kya yeh baat sahi hai? Kya mujhe Self-Support (Evening) merit list mein consider kiya jayega, ya koi or alternative jis sy mrre admission secure hojy im too close to Closing Merit hahaha?

JazakAllah.

IS GCU ACTUALLY WORTH IT???

Hey everyone! I’m looking into applying to GCU Lahore and would love to get some honest insights from current students or alumni, especially those in the English Literature and Psychology departments.

If you're studying there, could you share your experience on:

  • The Faculty: How are the professors? Are they approachable, open to discussions, and supportive of independent/creative ideas?
  • Study Environment: What is the academic pressure like? Is it more rote learning, or is there a focus on active discussion, research, and critical thinking?
  • Campus Life & Environment: What’s the day-to-day vibe like on campus? Are there active societies, or places where like-minded people actually hang out and collaborate?

If a person wants to move abroad for a master's, would GCUL be the right choice for UNIVERSITY NAME, global recognition, and research opportunities? Does GCUL have the same reputation as it had in previous years? Anybody currently studying psychology and English Lit programmes there? Would love an honest review!

uni hunt!!! helpp!!

So I’m currently in the whole university hunt phase and honestly, it’s stressing me out.

From the start, my first choice was GC University Lahore. I had this whole vision in my head that I’d do psychology there, enjoy the campus, the vibe, everything.

My other options were KC (I did my intermediate from Kinnaird, so I wanted a change) and PU, but I haven’t given the PU test yet and people keep saying it’s tough and competitive, especially for psychology.

Anyway, long story short, my GC application had an error, so I had to go to the campus to get it fixed in person.

I’m not kidding, the moment I stepped into the university, it completely killed my expectations. It was nothing like the image I had in my head.

The area I saw was dirty, trashy, and honestly kind of disgusting. I don’t know if I ended up in some older part of the campus and there are better-maintained areas that I didn’t see, but my first impression was really bad and it genuinely made me sad because I was almost sure I’d study there.

After that, I talked to a retired relative who has spent his whole life in the education sector. He told me that before taking admission in GC, I should definitely check the psychology department because, according to him, it’s very small and not as strong as some other places. Hearing that just shattered my remaining excitement.

Now I’m confused

-Is GC actually worth it for psychology?

-Is the department really that small or weak, or is that just an outdated opinion?

-Should I be considering PU more seriously for psychology?

-Or should I just stick with KC since I already know the environment there, even though I wanted a change?

If you’re:

-currently at GC (especially in psychology),

-a PU psychology/applied psychology student,

-or from KC’s psychology department,

please share your honest experience:

How’s the psychology department, teaching quality, environment, campus vibe, and overall satisfaction? Would you recommend it to someone who genuinely wants to study psychology seriously and have a good uni experience.
