GE GeoSpring HPWH + Hot Water Recirculation Pump — Anyone Got This Working? (PH80S10BPY & Similar Gen Models)

Anyone here successfully running a hot water recirculation pump with a GE GeoSpring Heat Pump Water Heater (with the integrated electronic mixing valve)?

My house already has a dedicated hot water return line plumbed near the water heater. I recently replaced my old gas water heater with the GeoSpring, and I’m trying to figure out the best/safest way to connect the recirc pump return.

What I’m unsure about:
- If I connect the recirc return to the cold water inlet, will the GeoSpring throw errors because the incoming “cold” water is warm from recirculation? (thinking about the electronic mixing valve and temp sensors)
- Alternative idea: connect the return line to the drain port at the bottom of the tank. But I’m not sure if there’s an internal check valve or restriction that would prevent proper flow back into the tank.

If you have this working, could you share:
- Pump model
- Where you tied the return line back in
- Any check valves / bypass valves used
- Whether the HPWH complains or operates normally
- I understand recirculation increases energy usage and reduces HPWH efficiency a bit, but in this case I’m willing to trade some efficiency for comfort/convenience.

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone with a working setup or lessons learned.
Thanks!

GE 2 in 1 washer dryer combo making loud noise

It’ll make the noise in the beginning wash cycle, spin cycle, and in the video also in the beginning of the drying cycle. In the beginning of the washing/spin cycle it’ll make the noise for much longer. Does anyone know what it is or how to fix it?

GE Opal 2.0 “Add water issue”

Recently inherited an ice maker from a neighbor yesterday and now trying to figure out why it isn’t running. I’ve provided video footage of what’s happening.

- When the hose tube are down the water flows out the back however when they’re up the machine will suck in a bit of water but won’t suck the remaining water into the machine and leave with the message “add water” even when I poured water into the internal water basin.

I assume this has to do with the water pump (as many people point towards that being the main culprit of issues) or the float sensor. I’m not particularly versed in repairing so any help/direction would be appreciated in getting this baby back and running!

GE Washer Repair Help. Tried everything!

This a 2 year old washer. It just started filling with water and then once filled and turned a few times it would say "END" and shut off leaving it filled with soapy water. We troubleshooted A LOT. Made sure the pressure hose was not clogged and connected it to WiFi. Finally bought a $250 new control board. Husband replaced it and hooked it back up and it literally is doing the exact same thing. Filling up and then after 4 months the machine says END, unblocks the door and there's a drum full of water. Please help.

GE freezer still icing up after replacing the heating element and the thermostat

This stupid thing is still icing up and we have replaced the heating element and the thermostat. I have resorted to defrosting it with a hairdryer every 2-3 weeks since I am tight on money (like most of us). It works great after that, and then starts humming and I know it’s time to do it again. Any ideas? It is only about 5 years old. I really appreciate it!

GE Café Dishwasher

Any input? We've had the cafe dishwasher for a couple years and it seems lately that it hasn't been cleaning the dishes very well unless we clean them first before putting them in and also the Cascade pods aren't dissolving. I have cleaned the filter.
