Battery draining after updating to Google Messages

The forced change went through today and when Google Messages is enabled, it just drains my battery. I went from 100% to 40% in less than an hour. How do I fix this? I see that I can turn of RCS, but then I can't participate in any of my group chats. (I actually had to turn that off so that my phone would even charge.) Would uninstalling it and reinstalling it make any difference?

Pop up happening every hour since downloaded Google messaging. How to get rid of it? What is this? Uninstalling Google messaging didn't stop it. Google TV app completely off, never used. Help

Switching from Samsung messaging to Google messaging before 7/6 due date. Downloaded Google messaging 7/3. Since then, this keeps popping up hourly on my home screen. Never used Google TV, never opened the app, it's completely turned off. I uninstalled Google messaging, but Pop up still happening. Tried all kinds of things, nothing stops it

I cannot " delete" it. It says " Do I want to request this ...to my email. " choices : allow / deny. Little black triangle at top of phone. How do I get rid of it?

Thinking of installing MintOS (One UI 8) on the S20 FE 5G? Share your risks, experiences, Play Integrity fixes, and tips!

I'm considering installing MintOS (One UI 8) on my Galaxy S20 FE and wanted to hear from people who have already made the switch.

I'm mainly interested in the risks, common issues, and things I should know before flashing. Some questions I have:

- What bugs have you experienced? (Battery, camera, fingerprint, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, etc.)

- Is it stable enough for daily use?

- Are there any features that don't work or have limitations?

- Any important tips or precautions before unlocking the bootloader and flashing?

One thing that also confuses me is Google's Play Integrity checks. Despite Google making things more difficult, I've seen quite a few people saying that on the latest MintOS builds:

- Banking apps work normally.

- Google Wallet/Wallet payments work.

- Secure Folder is functional.

- Samsung DeX is supported.

- Play Integrity passes for many users.

How is this possible? Is MintOS using a specific workaround or implementation to maintain compatibility, or does it depend on the device and setup?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences—the good, the bad, and the "I wish someone had told me this before flashing."

Thanks in advance!

Samsung Galaxy S20+ green line

5G UK Exynos version

After over 5 years of never dropping it and taking good care of it, a green vertical line appeared out of nowhere, and the screen repair costs £230.

That's disappointing from Samsung
