Playing through Unreal (1998) - these graphics still look great
I know the graphics were a huge selling point of this game when it released, I think it still looks awesome.
I also just really like how each weapon has a secondary fire mode too.

I feel like 'attract modes' or intro videos are something of a lost art now. I can't think of many games that do them anymore. A shame, I used to love these and they often had some really nice stylised ways of showing off the game.
I’ve been revisiting some old PS1 games lately, and Tenchu: Stealth Assassins really stood out to me.
I remember playing it years ago, but going back to it now made me realize how unique it was for its time. The atmosphere, stealth gameplay, ninja setting and even the slightly clunky controls have a certain old-school charm.
It got me wondering:
Do you think Tenchu: Stealth Assassins was underrated?
And what other forgotten or underrated PS1 games would you recommend?
I’m especially interested in games that aren’t the usual Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Silent Hill etc.
Give me your hidden gems.
Screaming to victory, on New Year's Eve, complete with fireworks in the night sky. This game is amazing.
I really appreciate how great the graphics look on the PS1, with some amazing lighting effects and nice stylised visuals like the tail lights leaving an after-trail in the replays. The racing quality is a lot of fun too, drifting cars feel very different to 'grip' cars.
This was a game I was totally off my radar back in the day, it's great discovering this classic now.
Photographed from my collection. Sega Rally 2 released in arcades in 1998 and was ported to Dreamcast in 1999.
For me it was Sega Saturn Magazine, followed closely by CVG. I miss going to the newsagents each month and looking for the latest issues!
I realised the other day, that back when I was a kid in the mid to late 90s, the newsagents was actually one of my favourite places to visit at the shops. Checking out the latest gaming mags, MAD magazine and comics was a real treat.
