Can someone explain what I saw when I was a kid?

Hello, I have a short story that, every time I think about what I experienced, I get goosebumps. Every single time, especially when I talk about it out loud.
This happened when I was around 6-8 years old. I honestly don’t know exactly how old I was, but I know I was younger than 10.

Back then, I slept in the same bed as my mom and my older sister. My mom slept on the right side of the bed, on the edge, and I slept in the middle. I remember I would always wake my mom up so she could go to the bathroom with me, which was just a few steps to the right of our bedroom door. I also don’t really remember the correct timeline or whether this happened before or after my mom’s dad’s funeral. (I’m mentioning my mom’s dad because I’ve always wondered if the figure I saw could have been him. But he wasn’t anywhere near 2 meters tall, so I really don’t know.)

The experience began on what seemed like a regular night. Honestly, I don’t know what time it was, but it was definitely the middle of the night because it was dark outside. I woke up because dogs were barking. Like usual, I really needed to pee, so I tried to wake my mom up, but that night she was in a really deep sleep. It was actually the first time she didn’t wake up. I also tried to wake my sister, but she was in a deep sleep too.
Thinking back now, I wasn’t scared of the dark or anything like that. It was just a habit I liked my mom to go with me.

So what happened next is something I still don’t fucking understand, and it’s so fucking creepy. When I was crawling down from the bed, I need you to imagine me as a little girl, kind of scoot-crawling, with my face toward the bed and my butt up as I was climbing down. Now that I’m 23, I know what I saw, and it freaks me out, but back then it didn’t.

While I was crawling down,my mom was on my left side. There was a woman’s head between my mom’s legs, right around her crotch. And now, when I really think back to that night, the room or the atmosphere felt foggy and eerie. Guys, the creepy part was that the woman’s head was upside down, and she was smiling. And that’s not even everything. Her hair was so long that it trailed all the way to the door. (I still don’t know why I wasn’t scared when I saw the woman.) Again, I don’t remember being scared back then. As I was walking toward the door, I was looking at the hair on the floor. When I opened the door, straight ahead was our living room, which had about three steps leading down into it.

That’s where I saw a tall black figure. Its head reached the roof, and our living room was about 2 meters tall, so it was really tall. It was definitely facing me, but I couldn’t actually tell because it was completely pitch black. You could only see its outline. Luckily, I guess I had human instincts even as a child, because I held my pee that night. That’s all I remember. I guess I went back to bed and forgot about it after that.

Guys, I really want to know what you think I saw, or why. And what would have happened if I didn’t have that instinct that the figure might have been dangerous? What if I had been a very curious and “dumb” child and walked toward it? And what the fuck was the woman’s head?

My stay at one of San Antonio's most haunted: The Menger Hotel

Good evening, happy 4th of July.

I made a post a few weeks ago about my paranormal experience at the Emily Morgan hotel, now I have a more interesting story regarding my stay at the Menger. For a quick intro, the Menger was built in 1859 right on the battlegrounds of the Alamo. Famous people such as: Oscar Wilde, Teddy Roosevelt, Sidney Lanier, and Babe Ruth have stayed here.

The building itself is very beautiful, hosting: stained glass ceilings, ball rooms, and a bar where Teddy Roosevelt recruited his Rough Riders. The building itself is what gives it an eerie feeling. From the outside, the building looks small, but on the inside, its a labyrinth. The floors aren't flat, often hosting a slant, ramp, or strange staircase that doesn't feel quite right. As you walk down the eerie hallways, the building seems to keep adding onto itself, like the Winchester mansion. Each corner feels like there's something waiting right on the other side, to sum up the feeling, it's more similar to the backrooms rather than the Shining or 1408. During the visit, the closet robbed the peace from my girlfriend, she (a skeptic) claims there was an ominous presence right behind it. When she went alone to get us some drinks from the vending machine, she felt like she was being followed. She found an oddly shaped door that was chained up tight. She claims there was something on the other side of the door jiggling it.

Overall, the building itself felt...strange. To say the least. Iv been in many old buildings but never one that had enexplained, random, changes in elevation and floor plans. I would not be surprised at all if something turned up in my photos.

Hope yall enjoyed.

June 28-29, 2026 3am-4:30am Unexplainable Phenomenon

I would like to start.
That I have video footage of everything shown in the pictures.
It started off as a sudden overwhelming anxiety sensation I had come over me.
Which usually happens when strong energy presence of something around me occurs…
I usually have my phone nearby or in hand to capture my experiences.
Late evening/early morning hours of June 28-29, 2026. Around 3am-4:30am I intensely got overwhelmed with surrounding energy levels. I looked around to see if I could visually see anything. I noticed very black shadow like changes towards my front doorway.
I grabbed my phone and video recorded So Many things happening at one time!! White Apparition wearing a dress, that changed into some darker hooded like figure of same size.
Then something started happening by the front door with my umbrella and shoe rack turned into a child or person trying to climb up my wall?? That’s what I noticed and seen at first.

I look at my video recording, and notice a black shadow standing at my couch, which turns into some women looking thing, and develops some concealing form?? My living room wall/stairway changed appearance and front entrance. I also provided a photo of what it looks like normally for reference.

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing or captured. Then I felt the urgency to open my basement door and take video footage of bottom of stairs.

Also caught some unexplained transformations of black shadow that developed same weird horse like looking face like the living room capture. As well as the shadow beside it and weird face person underneath.
Everything you see is exactly what I seen and captured.
I don’t know how to post video, but I would lol .
But the pictures are still awesome!! I kinda feel privileged to have this to show.

Scary moments this morning with music box

Good morning, it’s 5:30 in the morning and a music box that was gifted to me when i was born and i never touched nor listened to in my life started playing while i was sleeping. As you can see from the video i start searching for the music on the desk thinking it came from my ipad but then i turn and i see it and it suddenly stops. Now, i don’t really believe in ghosts but thank god it was morning and not night or i would’ve died. Sorry for my bad english

Ghost? Or Coincidence? Or something else?

My grandfather died last night. My mom and I were at his house with hospice and were planning to stay the night because he was in the actively dying stage. My mom and I were in his office, looking for the wifi password. I was flipping through his password book when out of no where, the lights in the room flickered and then the printer turned on and started making the noise like it was printing something. I said ‘he’s telling us to get out of his password book’. Within one second later, the nurses told us to come in there because he was passing. My mom and I went in there and he had passed.

I wonder what others think about the light and the printer. 🤔

Bare footsteps on the ceiling of my extremely for a week straight (video evidence)

kinda long post, sorry in advance:

As long as I’ve lived in my house, I’ve had paranormal encounters and so has most of my family that has spent some time in it. My grandparents first bought it in the 80s from a weird family (my grandparents say that the family would randomly show up outside the house and just stare at it). When they first bought the house it was all carpeted and they hated that, but when they pulled the carpet off, all over the floor there were ash pentagrams. So wrong from the start lol. They’ve blessed the house like 4 times, I remember as a kid that a priest would come over and tell all the kids to go hide to a room cause the house exorci would be too scary for us. This post would be book long if I told you everything that has happened inside my house, whether it’s my experience or others, but I’ll tell you shortly about a couple of my own experiences. from seeing THE famous hatman (he’s colloquially known as El Carnicero around my family) to having my bathroom being as cold as a freezer for a couple seconds before it got hot again, from having “imaginary“ friends as a kid that told me how they died around my house to having my door lock itself all the time. We even have something that mimics my dog all the time. I’ve never been able to catch any evidence, except for the creepiest orb photo I’ve ever seen (I’m gonna see if I can find it on my uncles Facebook lol) except this time.

Now to get to the context for the video evidence: it was 2020 and the paranormal activity around my house had dissipated from what it used to be. As one did in the pandemic i would stay up all night every night and I would never hear or see anything, but one day at 2 am I heard bare footsteps on the rooftop. I live in Mexico and usually the houses here are flat on top cause that’s where you keep all your acs, water heaters, etc, etc. So technically someone could be up there living it up, but even if it was a person why would they be up there at 2 am barefoot? Obviously footsteps sound different whether you have shoes on or not. But for one day maybe someone decided to do barefoot parkour on my rooftop. Except it happened the next day around the same time, and then the next day, and so on for a week. That’s what makes it unexplainable to me. I don’t know if you guys know what it could’ve been. It has never happened again since then, or at least I haven’t noticed. Maybe one time at a random time but I didn get to record it. On video I show the first two days (excuse my narration I uploaded it to my CF stories on ig lol) you can see the time around 2 am. Let me know what you think!!

whatever was in that apartment never felt human.

This is going to be a long one, so thanks to anyone who actually reads it. There's a TL;DR at the end.

I don't even know where to begin, so I'll just write everything exactly as I remember it.
I lived in the same apartment for 19 years. I grew up there. Even as a little kid, I had strange dreams about it before I was old enough to understand why.
It was a three story apartment filled with Persian rugs, black steel railings and a balcony. Years ago one wall in the living room was painted dark red. The third floor always felt different. I can’t even begin to describe the feeling. Everything about this apartment just had this eerie feeling to it. It was home, but I never truly felt alone.
My family and I joke that it was haunted. The truth is, it doesn't really feel like a joke. Every single one of us experienced paranormal activities.

Things that happened to me
Objects disappeared all the time. Sometimes forever. Sometimes they came back in places they simply couldn't have been.
The best example is a striped summer dress.
I hadn't seen it in months and decided to finally look for it. A friend came over and helped me. We literally emptied my entire wardrobe, sorted everything, folded clothes and put them back. The dress wasn't there.
Later that evening we were getting ready for a party while FaceTiming. I was still annoyed that I couldn't find it and chose something else to wear.
My friend went home to have dinner, then came back to my place so we could pregame. While we were talking, I opened my wardrobe one last time and the dress literally fell into my arms.
I heard scratching and knocking on doors.
Strange noises all over the apartment.
Almost every day I had this overwhelming feeling that someone was watching me. Not occasionally. Constantly. I never truly felt alone.
I heard footsteps when nobody else was home.
Several times I clearly heard my mom call my name. Sometimes she wasn't even in the apartment. Other times I'd walk downstairs asking what she wanted, only for her to tell me she never called me.
I had recurring nightmares for years.
One night I woke up because something was pushing me deep into my mattress. I was only half awake but desperately tried to fight back. I couldn't move. I felt like something was assaulting me. It had done things to me. The next morning I had scratches exactly where I remembered being touched.
I constantly heard tiny, quick footsteps running up and down the stairs. The metal railing would shake as if someone was grabbing it while running.
I saw shadow figures more than once.
One afternoon I was upstairs in my mom's room singing Bohemian Rhapsody because the acoustics were amazing in there. When I stopped singing, someone outside the room kept humming the melody.
It sounded like a child.
I slowly opened the door.
At the other end of the hallway the dish towel hanging on the drying rack was moving by itself.
Then I heard small footsteps running downstairs.

One night my brother stormed into my room furious, telling me to stop knocking on his door.
I had been asleep the entire time.

Another time a friend was visiting. She was in the bathroom while I was lying in bed. Through the gap in the door I thought I saw her walk upstairs, so I didn't think much of it.
A minute later she walked back into my room and asked,
"So... if you're here... who did I just see walking upstairs in the bathroom mirror?"
She was an atheist. She didn't believe in ghosts, spirits or anything paranormal.

My ex boyfriend once cried because he became so terrified inside that apartment.
Several friends refused to stay overnight after visiting. Others told me they felt uncomfortable for reasons they couldn't explain. Some even started dreaming about the apartment after they had been there.
Even years later, I still dream about it.
The staircase leading to the apartment appears over and over again.
It reminds me of the Backrooms. It was a light yellow paint all over the walls, the same railings as in our apartment.
I dream about hidden rooms, secret elevators, endless hallways that lead nowhere or extremely underground or liminal spaces.
Sometimes I dream about the outside walkway collapsing beneath my feet while I fall into darkness.

One nightmare has stayed with me for years. I had only had it once but I still think about it from time to time.
I'm sitting at the end of the staircase in complete darkness. The front door is slightly open. My brother tells me to wait while he walks upstairs.
Then a three meter tall black figure with glowing red eyes and a huge black hole where its mouth should be suddenly charges toward me.
I woke up drenched in sweat, extremely scared.
One random morning, I was 15 or so, I woke up, grabbed my phone and found a photo of myself sleeping in my gallery.
Both of my arms were visible in the picture, so I wasnt the one that took it. I still have no explanation to this day.

Things that happened to my family
My mom has always been unusually sensitive to things she can't explain.
When she was two years old she almost died from an infection and spent time in a coma. Ever since then she's claimed to perceive things differently. As a child she reportedly dreamed about relatives dying before they actually passed away.
Several people have witnessed strange things happen around her during moments of intense anger.
My dad once mocked her spiritual beliefs. She became furious and, according to both of them, the blinds suddenly slammed shut on their own.
My parents have been divorced for more than fifteen years. My dad still tells that story.
My mom was deeply unhappy because my father was abusive. One day she became so overwhelmed that she started chanting words I still can't remember.
Later, while she and my father were together, she looked over his shoulder into the hallway and saw a tall man with long black hair standing at the end of the staircase.
She described him as wearing a suit with an incredibly intense stare. Then he disappeared.
Another day she was ironing when she watched a small child casually walk around the ironing board before vanishing.
She also experienced the same thing I did, waking up unable to move while something pressed her into the bed.
She once lost her Bluetooth headset.
She searched everywhere.
A year later she found two identical headsets sitting together at the end of the staircase.

My brother
He also experienced the mysterious knocking.
He heard strange noises.
He heard people calling his name when nobody had.
Things eventually became so overwhelming that we decided to cleanse the apartment with incense.
Every single window was open.
There was a strong cross breeze.
The smoke refused to leave through the windows.
He also suffered from severe sleep paralysis, sleepwalking, night terrors and chronic sleep problems.
One of his Muslim friends visited us.
When they walked past my sister's room on the third floor, a drinking glass suddenly shot off her desk.
It couldn't have simply fallen because it had been placed far back on the desk.
His friend immediately said,
"There's Shaytan living here."
He never came back.

My sister
My sister has always considered herself the skeptic of the family.
She's a science based agnostic and says she isn't sensitive to paranormal things.
Yet even she has stories.
One night she woke up because her blanket was pulled off her body.
Not slowly.
It was lifted upward first and then violently ripped away.
She also talks about the constant strange noises and the feeling of being watched.
She says that feeling disappeared completely after she moved out.
We fought constantly in that apartment.
The place always felt flooded with negative emotions, old wounds and heavy energy.
I don't know what was there.
I wish I did.
So many strange things seemed connected to the bottom of the staircase near the apartment entrance.
A very spiritual friend of my mom once visited and told her she believed there were two entities there.
A child.
And something much darker.
I've often wondered...
Did my mom unknowingly invite something into that apartment?
Was it simply years of trauma affecting everyone?
Or was there actually something there?
Can something like that follow you after you leave?
Because I still dream about that place.
It still feels like it's haunting me.
After my ex and I broke up, I wanted to move back into the same district where I grew up.
Without really planning it, I ended up living only a few blocks away from that apartment.
It's still there.
Every time I walk past it I get goosebumps and the same eerie feeling, I had felt all my life.

What the hell was that?

TL;DR: I lived in the same apartment for 19 years. My entire family experienced unexplained events including footsteps, knocking, voices calling our names, objects disappearing and reappearing, shadow figures, terrifying dreams, sleep paralysis, physical scratches, and multiple shared experiences. Friends, my ex, and visitors also reported feeling watched or witnessing strange things. Even years after moving out, I still have recurring nightmares about the apartment and get chills whenever I walk past it.

Has anyone had supernatural experiences in the jungle or wilderness?

I am fascinated with the culture of jungle spirits and had my own experience in Borneo around 13 years ago. Our jungle guides were deeply superstitious about jungle spirits and insisted we treat the jungle with the upmost respect.

One night I woke up to find everyone in our group getting out of their hammocks and walking to our fire pit. I checked my digital watch to see the time but it had reset and was flashing 12:00. I was exhausted and went back to sleep, assuming someone would wake me if it was something important. When I woke up in the morning everyone was back sleeping in their hammocks and my watch was still flashing 12:00. I brought it up over breakfast and the group brushed it off as a dream - until one other group member said they saw the same thing. He said everyone got up and walked to the fire.

Very eerie and I don't have a good explanation for it. Has anyone else had a strange or supernatural experience in the jungle or wilderness?

Dogs reacting /barking at a floating apparition

Not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this, but here goes: I've always considered videos with animals reacting to something as more credible. There's a video with 3-4 dogs reacting to an "apparition" floating in the air coming down the street. The dogs are initially laying around, and then start barking at this apparition as it comes closer, and then floats away. The dogs are barking at it the whole time. There's another video in Spanish where that video is thoroughly dissected. I don't understand Spanish, but its pretty obvious what's being explained, and the conclusion was that the video was legitimate. Can anyone point me in the direction of either video? Thanks!

Is this house haunted? Please read this and give any advice if you have it.

I think my grandma’s house is haunted!!

My aunt died a few years ago in the house and I finally had the courage to go back a few months ago to help clean it out.

While I’ve been there, some weird stuff has happened. To start, when I started to clean out my grandmother’s room, I started to cry because it was a lot for me. I went into the kitchen to take a moment and the lights started to flicker uncontrollably! Then I felt a light sense of calming and stopped crying. Right after this, the lights stopped. I also have to add, she passed away in the bathroom next to the kitchen.

If we discuss her or my grandma in the kitchen, the lights start flickering!! The weirdest part is we had a severe thunderstorm while I was there and the lights didn’t do anything all night.

I also frequently smell her perfume in her bedroom despite no one spraying it.

I haven’t seen anything, my mother swears she’s heard her laughing so I don’t know.

She died pretty young (late 30s) and I know she was not ready to go. Should I do something? A spiritual cleanse for the house? Ouija board? Am I being dramatic? Please let me know what you guys think.

We are considering selling the house… idk how that fits in to all of this either.

EVP AT MY HOUSE - Active, ongoing case - Please check this and give any advice if you have it.

Here’s the story... a couple of months ago, my parents told me they could hear noises coming from the floor above—no one lives there; it's empty. They sounded like something being dragged or dropped on the floor; anyone living in an apartment with noisy upstairs neighbors knows exactly what I mean. Anyway, my mother recorded a video and showed it to me when she came to visit. I transferred it to my computer, cleaned up and amplified the audio, and this is what you can hear. I also have the original videos, in case you want to see them.

TIMESTAMPS:

THUDDING OR DRAGGING: 0:03, 0:18, 0:24, 0:27, 0:32, 0:45 - 1:20

"A NO MAMES" (EXCLAMATION): 1:46

STRANGE VOICE: 2:13

CHILDREN'S VOICES OR STRANGE VOICES AND MORE THUDDING: 2:23

EVP / GIRL'S VOICE? "NANA OR NENA, COMO ERES": 3:16

STRANGE VOICE: 3:53

In the video, you can identify sounds caused by bed movements, sheets, or adjusting the phone in hand. My mother mentions that the sound of the clock hands is normal, but there is another sound—one that seems to follow the ticking but suddenly goes silent or falls out of sync—which she didn't hear at all.

The voices heard are in Spanish.

Note: I don't specialize in the paranormal; this is a personal case that is still ongoing, and I hope to bring more evidence later.

If you want to watch the video clips focusing on the parts where the sounds and voices occur—no subscription or anything required . playlist

Possible EVP on police body cam on a YouTube video.

First off, here is the link https://youtu.be/1LG-wAdT904?is=IWo9HI1SwXtLyDmI

And here are the time stamps 0:13, 3:10, and 5:18.

All I know is that whatever it is says the same thing at every time stamp. Also, I watched a couple different uploads of the video, and the voice is on all of them at the same place in all videos. I don't know what it is, however, it sounds exactly like an EVP on every ghost hunting tv show I ever watched. It's out of place, I could not determine if it was in the fairground or background. For a second I thought it was from a Starbucks employee in the background because the video makes a reference to the employee at just about the same time as the 3:10 voice is heard, but no it wasn't that. Plus it's on two other places on the video without that employee anywhere near them and it sounds wierd, like there is no depth to voice, and again the same voice can be heard from different uploader. Anyway maybe it's all just an elaborate hoax. What do you think it is?
