Do you think that ghosts could call and speak to other ghosts on the phone?
If Allison could hear the ghosts on the phone, do you think they could speak to other ghosts?
Could ghosts video call ghosts on other properties?

Just watched Redding Weddy again. The bit where the Captain is explaining limpet mines to Robin, that they attached with suckers, and Robin repeats 'suckers' to indicate he understands, and the way Laurence Rickard says it, the eye flick, I don't know, but it's just so funny. He really is a brilliant comedy actor (and writer, of course). He packs so much into the briefest of moments, it's like a sort of comedy shorthand. Anyway, just wanted to say that.
I know this is for Ghosts, but the other community is somewhat inactive.
Is there a list of the characters from Yonderland? There are many of them, and since I watch it with subtitles (because I don't speak English very well yet), sometimes I lose track of who's who. And it's very confusing trying to find content about a specific character or figuring out who's who just by names.
It would be very helpful if anyone knew of a list of characters with their names, an image, or anything to distinguish them. Thanks.
I feel sorry for the Roundhead* Alison sees in the lane when she is with Lucy. He has been there for the best part of 400 years and finally someone sees him! And ignores him!
*I am aware the two sides looked pretty much the same - I am classing him as a Roundhead for the sake of brevity.
I like them I found them both hard to get into the Uk version is still my favourite but I think If you forget that the UK versiom exists and watch it as an independent show then its alright I think it goes UK USA then Australia
When Ghosts started, it got compared to a few old shows, such as Ghosts of Motley Hall and this one, "So Haunt Me".
I've just found this and only started watching it. It's.... not good. But might be of interest to see how it develops.
Basic storyline is a family move into a house that's haunted.
So, I've just finished Ghosts AU, and I can't help but thinking that I'd love a crossover where Kate and Sean come to stay in Button house, >!you could do it for their honeymoon!< with Kate and Alison bonding over their shared experiences. It would be great to see Kate interact with the UK Ghosts.
What are they and where can i find them, or just good enough pictures of them so i can draw them. These are the best shots (no pun intended) i can get and i cant get any if the red one on his arm.
Anyone ever noticed the similarities between the Patrick Swayze/Demi Moore 1990 hit, Ghost, and certain scenes in BBC’s ghosts?
For a start, in Ghost, Sam Wheat sits beside Whoopi Goldberg’s character Oda Mae while she’s trying to sleep and sings “I’m Henry the 8th I Am” to convince her to speak to his love, Molly. Very similar to The Captain singing to Alison while she’s trying to sleep to attempt to get her and Mike to leave.
Oda Mae’s sister says, “I love Love Connection” while watching TV, Kitty claims “Actually, I love Love Actually, actually”.
Sam having difficulty learning to push objects around with his fingers smacks a bit of Julian and his finger-pushing trick.
To scare the villain in the movie, Sam turns on the hot water in the bathroom and writes “Boo” in the mirror, Julian accidentally freaks Mike out by writing “2o” (2 of them!)
There’s the obvious similarity between Oda Mae and Alison wandering around talking to “thin air”, seeming to be crazy, including both having conversations with construction workers due to talking to ghosts.
Once Oda Mae and Alison start seeing (or hearing, in Oda Mae’s case) one ghost, they start cropping up everywhere to comedic effect.
And Sam’s conversation with the angry Subway Ghost about why some rules of being able to touch things and not others seems to be echoed closely by the one in Ghosts re: Julian sitting down and not falling through the chair, with Thomas replying it doesn’t make sense.
I’m aware that many of these things are tropes, but having done a recent rewatch of the 1990 movie, it seems they are (dare I wordplay it) eerily close.
Not knocking the Six Idiots, not saying they’re plagiarizing, but it does seem at least a few of them were fans of the movie and incorporated bits of the movie into the show’s zeitgeist. (Har).
This is not a spoiler and pure speculation, but I feel a ghost is going to move on, probably Kitty or the Captain
So obviously when ghosts get sucked off they must go somewhere? Right?
But where do you think they go? Is more like how pat said they can still see everyone just on another level (minus all the wizard and unicorn stuff)
Or do you think they are actually gone?
I’m curious to see what people’s ideas are for it. I like to think they’re still around, maybe not a ghost ghost but still “alive” somewhere.
It's the eclipse tonight so I just thought I'd remind people about this episode 😁.
I've told my family that they will hear the speech that they make in the episode so I wrote it down and here it is if anyone wants it.
The speech.
Robin:
Thank be to moonah good light in sky.
Captain:
AND NOW THANKS BE TO THE WONDROUS MOON
AND THE GIDING LIGHT IT GIVITH AT 2100 HOURS.
Thomas:
Dramatic pause.
Take a breath give it some light and shade.
OHHHH BLESSED MOON AS SPIED UPON BY THE EARTH BRIGHT AS THINE EYES. ROUND AS THINE EYES. YET TOO FAR APART LIKE THINE no I don't mean your eyes I mean.
Captain:
THORNE I'M DOING THE READING.
Thomas: To be fair it was very close and entirely non-binding.
At the end Pat and Robin.
Robin:
Before you was moonah.
Before house was moonah.
Everything come everything go but always there. Moonah.
Pat:
The only thing that's been here as long as you have.
I fully intend on dancing round my garden chanting moonah stonah 😂😂.
I'm not sure how old havers is meant to be, but it seems like he is way younger than the captain to me. If that were true he could still be alive? Does anyone have any proof or speculation of havers age?
Lolly Adefope is the next star to take on former First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln in Cole Escola's hit comedy Oh, Mary!, which continues in performances at the Trafalgar Theatre in the West End. She takes over on 28 September, running through 5 December.
Julian obviously took a long time to accept the fact he was a ghost, but who do you think took the shortest time to accept it?
