Heads up!

If you are a fan of cherry cola gummies, find these. They have the absolute best/most accurate cherry cola flavour I’ve ever experienced in a gummy candy/sweet.

(And it breaks my heart because I ADORE cherry cola items but I found the texture off putting (for me)

These are also sold in strawberry, mango, watermelon, and a sour grape/strawberry version.

Autumn Tamales

I have been waiting for these since they were announced. I opened the box. They smell very apple, however…

If you like Red Hots, you’ll love these. They are incredibly cinnamon forward. With a minor hint of apple at the end, but they’re also finished up with a chemical taste.

I’m a huge fan of cinnamon in candies/chocolate, but the balance of this was off, for me.

I was disappointed but others may love them.

Edit: delighted to see these are a dream for others! Hope you love them! 😊

Cornflake brownies?

I have a bit of a dilemma. I have a craving for cornflake brownies and will be in town soon and my usual go-to is either Cinnamon Tree Bakery at Borough Market or Crumbs & Doilies. Now I can’t get to Borough on the days Cinnamon Tree is serving (I’d prefer these) so Crumbs is my backup but I was wondering:

Can anyone recall any other bakeries that sell this delicious item that they’d recommend me trying? Or any place that has what they’d consider ‘to-die-for’ fudgy brownies?

Boo!

Sam’s Club has this Halloween chocolate assortment, and each of them are actually quite nice.

The cherry reminds me of the former 3 Musketeers Cherry and the caramel is nice and gooey.

Pick them up, if you need a tiny boost.

Beauties!

Once in a while, life gives you a W.

We had the cinnamon swirl bun yesterday and it was an absolute 5/5. Both of us couldn’t stop thinking about it. So I decided to order a mini 6 pack and 1 large (both to freeze) so we could enjoy them whenever the craving hit.

To my surprise, I got a large 6 pack and a large single dropped off on my doorstep!

Thank you universe!

If you haven’t had this one this week and you like cinnamon, DEFINITELY order. Because WOW!!

This week’s haul

We opted to try all the cookies this week! The size of the bun was surprising, and it dwarfed the minis, as you can see.

I wish there were a little more M&Ms in the frosting on the shake cookie, but I’m sure it’ll be fine.

Sorry I didn’t review these in my post. I just got them and I only have tried the brownie and the rainbow shake. The brownie was mushy and only so-so and the rainbow was nice.

I typically eat my cookies after dinner as dessert and was just excited to post about them when they arrived.

I’ll do better next time.

Farmers’ Market Haul

Went to the little loose candy stand at our local farmers’ market and came away with some gems. (Some I’d actually not seen before! Shocker, for me!)

Left to right: chicken feet, gummy bananas, sour pineapple orange bites, sour gummy pickles (yes they are actually pickle flavour!), triple dipped dark chocolate malt balls, churro marshmallows and gingerbread and banana milk truffles.

Cheese!

A selfie and the result.

A bunch of lovely and good looking folks on a stage taking a photo! What’s not to like?

(If Reddit would do top to bottom pics this would look better, but oh well)

Pretty l’il cookies

We haven’t ordered since June 29. These flavours intrigued us enough to pull the trigger. And it’s delightful that they look as pretty as they do!

Ghosts, but not!

Jim Howick posted this on his Instagram story today as the Six Idiots got together to discuss Yonderland at the BFI Southbank.

It was a fantastic event and here’s hoping the BFI post it on YouTube like they’ve done with previous events!

UK Haul

So I’ve been in the UK for 3 days and I’m headed back to the US tomorrow. This is my haul for the trip. Some of it is going to be passed on to a coworker (but not much) and some of it will be shared with my sister.

Sweets Heaven!

I made a pilgrimage today to Lucky Tuppence sweet shop in Scunthorpe, England. If you’re on TikTok, you may be familiar with this store (their account is @ luckytuppence/Sweetshop Steve.

Old school candy/sweets shops like this don’t exist much anymore so if you’re in the UK or are travelling over and are anywhere near, definitely pop in! The owners are the best people and are true gems!

Just look at that selection!! (I spent £25!)

Hotel Chocolat?

Anyone like their chocolate? I picked up these two and am very much intrigued by them. They are chocolate versions of regular macarons, so the ‘cookie’ part is actually chocolate/white chocolate discs.

Heston’s Chicken & Egg Bar

So I posted about this bar about 2 months ago, and I finally had the chance to try it. If you want, check out my silly little review. (Sorry if I didn’t go too in depth with my thoughts and I apologise if look too much of a dork. )

And, if you’re interested in hearing my other rambling nonsense about candy and chocolate you can always look me up on YT, IG or TikTok @ SweetToofSnoof.

It’s pricey, but I do recommend it. It’s got great flavour and on repeat visits to the remainder of the bar, I do get a bit more of the chicken taste but, for me, it’s not overpowering.

Your weakness??? Irresistible??

Edit: Anyone out there willing to share what candies they’ll eat an entire bag of? Rather than just comments about how awesome Squashies are. (Which they absolutely are, but I only used the Squashies photo because it was to demonstrate my point)

Which bagged candy is, for you, so irresistible that if you don’t hide it/leave it alone/refuse to buy it you can **EASILY** eat the entire bag in one sitting?

For me, it’s these. Bubblegum Squashies are so hard to stop eating.

Cookie prep question?

This is no shade to any workers, but there have been many photos this week of the Caramel Apple Crisp cookie looking like a soupy-ass mess.

If there are Crumbl crew on here, can anyone give any insight into why they seem so messy?

I get that when you bake an apple crisp (I’ve made many at home and in professional kitchens also), it’s a streusel top above a fruit filling bottom, so typically there isn’t a crust underneath like with this cookie.

For example, mine seemed like it was swimming in caramel and I thought it was supposed to be a thin drizzle. Don’t get me wrong, the flavour was fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed the taste, even if I got utterly sticky eating it.

Just looking for why the consistency was so wet here. Was it proportions in the recipe?

Haribo Bananas

So I finally found these at Dollar Tree. They are basically like eating a stale peep that has circus peanut flavour. Since I like both, I liked these.

Eventually I’ll do a proper review for my new candy review channel. (If anyone wants to hear my thoughts on various candies I try in my hauls, please feel free to follow. You can find me at SweetToofSnoof on YouTube, IG and TikTok)

(I’m not being paid to do any of the reviewing, I’m just a candy obsessive who wanted something to do with their time and all their candy in their house, sorry if the promotion offends anyone, but I’m just a sad, lonely middle aged woman with nothing to do with themselves)

Unique gummy flavours!

I was scrolling through my IG looking for another photo and came across this image I posted in 2018!

Look at these unique flavours for gummies! And yes, this was a US Haribo bag.

It would be excellent to see US Haribo trying exotics like this once more!
