Kinda like the HXH event where they categorize what kind of hunter you are base on a metric what did you get?
I don't think I can improve this grid in terms of characters.
SPOILERS FOR ROY AND OLIVIER'S FATE EPS
I've got a Dermatology exam the day after tomorrow but if I wasn't doing this I'd be procrastinating some other way so fuck it. Anyways, to clarify, I guess how I'd define an industry plant is a character whose amount of content given (units/alts, appearances in events and other characters' Fate Episodes, etcetera) is incongruent with their actual popularity with the public. Then again, the concept is kind of hard to define: the DKs are always given a minimum of one piece of content basically every year and are treated incredibly kindly both in the main game and in supplementary material, but they are also incredibly popular, so it's kind of a chicken-and-egg situation in that I honestly don't know whether they started getting that much content because they were that popular or whether they got so popular because they received that much content.
Anyways, I was making my way through the few Fate Eps I had today, and as it turns out, who features in Roy Mustang's Fate Episodes? None other than Juri, who even gets to receive some pretty grand praise from Mustang himself. And in Olivier's episodes, after some scenes with Noa, he recommends that she go visit Mahira: with her, of course, is none other than Joy, who becomes their guide and blah blah blah. Both these appearances got me thinking.
I don't dislike Juri, far from it, but I don't think there's any denying that he gets far more special attention than one would expect compared to his contemporaries: hell, anyone who was involved in his event gets special attention. I still remember the reactions Grand Poseidon received. And of course, Joy was given the anni-SSR title (promptly wasting it by being awful and dragging Summer Mahira down with him in an attempt to make them synergize), and has also had quite a few appearances in other characters' Fate Episodes and whatnot. Other characters whom I've seen referred to as industry plants include Cassius and Raziel. But to be honest, I'm not really in-touch with the broader GBF community, and I have no true idea as to these characters' actual popularity.
So I'd like to ask: what character do you think is the biggest industry plant in Granblue? Could be your personal opinion (on some character you dislike or think is unpopular but which receives a lot of attention), or you could try to be as objective as possible (as far as you can be objective with something like popularity, anyways).
Here is the ones I found so far (spoilered from smaller to bigger hint):
Stumped on the 1 and 3. Here is what I tried:
>!Zinkenstill, Albion, Ebisu, did the "Girl named Mika" quest and hosted Proto Bahamut.!<
>!Uncapped a dupe Grimnir to 1, 2, 3 and FLB, raised it to level 150, tried crossing a Summon (Yggdrasil with my Uriel in a Tefnut)!<

Just randomly decided to do some bingo for no reason, 3 matches in and this happens. I always thought you'd have to get a full line with the matching colors for this, but turns out it just has to be 5 matching colors regardless of position. Too bad Casino items are super irrelevant, but it's cool that it happened.

I saw this online, and I thought... isn't this too similar? Is Hoyo taking too much 'inspiration' from Granblue Fantasy?
From April (Tweyen release Relink) to November 5 (HSR Cyrene release) 2025.
Mostly just thoughts that came to mind but I started thinking about how weird (positive) granblue is in terms of how it handles its characters and the ones that are a focus but also seems to still have normal stuff you'd anticipate from an anime game
In general, typically most anime fans I notice these days tend to be into different camps. Some dislike older tropes and thinks they should do away with them completely, others embrace these tropes still, and one thing I also notice is that these groups tend to be pro/anti lgbt (at least the louder parts of them)
The thing is with granblue, it seems to unapologetically stick to older tropes and character design types as well. An easy example is the "loli" design trope. I don't think genshin really has those sexualized, but then you look at some of granblue's (wind lily) and its pretty obvious its a design trope that they arent too shy about creating.
There is also archetypes such as yandere (Nier, Lobelia) that are popular and prevalent for gbf, that can be seen as cringy in more western spaces these days.
On the flip side though, you also have designs like spinnah. Thats just straight up a black guy. Hairstyle and all.
The thing is, gbf doesnt do these often for obvious reasons, but the existence of them and going all the way is also appreciated. There is another leader in shadowverse thats actually designed to BE black instead of simply having dark skin when considering cygames other games, as well as the recent JP uma stuff.
There is also lgbt rep as well, people generally agree Ladiva and Cagliostro are both transgender with Cag being a very popular character overall. The thing is, both of them are very different types of ways to approach trans people. Ladiva can be seen as stereotypical, but cygames treats her generally pretty seriously, and shes well liked on the cast, even with an explanation on WHY she wants to keep her body. Even Cag mentions she could give Ladiva a different one and Ladiva just simply refuses for her personal reasons.
All in all I think gbf is really interesting. It includes more progressive mindsets with some of its designs, not enough to say that they actively 100% push for them (especially in spinnahs case, not many full on black characters among cygames rosters), but they also seem to both want some degree of inclusiveness, while also not abandoning common tropes in the anime
Ill sometimes see talk about "gatekeeping" these days and granblue seems to me like it fits in a weird spot where it gatekeeps itself by both being a bit more progressive compared to other gachas, while also still showing its age in a way. Anyway rambling over
