It basically focuses on a super buff doctor who not only cures weird cases with wild medical glazing and pseudoscience but also straight up rescues people in danger like a firefighter. In fact, it’s possible that this manga inspired Kureha’s character. Definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of Kureha.
I just find it funny he is all about purity in a fight but when he finds someone physically stronger than him he betrays his supposed principles.

Obviously including Baki, Yujiro and the main antagonists of each arc (that they are the antagonist in), who is the strongest in each arc out of Doppo, Katsumi, Retsu, Jack Hanma, Hanayama, Motobe, Shibukawa Pickle (in the Musashi arc).
In my opinion:
Prisoners: Hanayama (easiest time with prisoner)
Chinese Challenge: Retsu (my goat)
Muhammad Ali: Jack Hanma (first to beat Ali)
Prisoner: nobody really gets any fights (so ig still Jack)
Pickle: Katsumi (Mach punch giving Pickle his hardest fight bar Baki, though I could understand Retsu and Jack as choices too)
Father Son: Retsu (boxing adventure)
Musashi Arc: Motobe (though arguably Hanayama)
ok addressing the elephant in the room. motobe lost to musashi after putting up about as much a fight as retsu, impressive for motobe but still big fat L. So why did the baki peanut gallery start feeling protected by bumotobe? there was so much buildup and frustration and aura farming to lead up to this 5 minute encounter?
he didn't every stop anyone from getting musashied, he didn't stop anyone he just walked in, got musashied, left, considered a hero?!?
