Honestly, spec's "ideology" about fighting is lowkey the most valid one in the show

His ideology focuses on one main thing: there are no rules in fighting. Honor, fair game, all of these things are basically useless in his eyes, instead prioritising the "at all cost" win by pulling more or less fair moves, using his enviroment as a weapon, bringing Guns and other "toys" into fight, and even mastering an attack that straight up makes it so the oponent has zero chance for a simple counter attack, preventing the actual fight from even happening in the first place.

This is where i'd like to bring up one of the martial art styles called "Krav maga", and few of its bassic rules:

1.Neutralize the danger as soon as possible, before worrying about anything else.

2.Attack areas that are sensitive to pain, such as the eyes, throat, and knees.

3.Utilize any common object or environment nearby to protect yourself.

While i'm not saying spec has ANYTHING to do with that style (should've been obvious with the other point of it saying to finish the conflicts as quickly and escape to safety as fast as possible lol), i find it interesting that there is a lot of that you can connect here. Let's be real, irl the so called "honor" means nothing, as even experienced martial art master can loose against some random teen with a knife or other dangerous weapon if they get lucky enough. The only real thing that really matters, is the most precious thing human has: a life. I really won't care if someone calls me a bozo for e.g. crushing a Glass bottle on attacker's head in order to protect myself, because that's like least important thing you can be worried about in that situation. Pfff if this fucker would have killed me, this opinion would've be even less valid as I don't think i'd care about it in afterlife. In a way I kinda respect spec for not playing with that bs ideology that soo many fighters go for, and ignoring stuff like his "building crushing breathless attack", I find his style to be most brutal and realistic to what you're going to see in reality

This is also kinda proven in the show itself, as in baki's universe it's often not even about martial arts anymore, but rather who has more schizophrenia, and wierd ass God gifted powers like in yujiro or hanayama's case😭. I really see no reason why using stuff like Guns or other tricks is less "skillfull" than having an ability to slide down people with bs psyche blades that narrator will somehow explain as logical and possible thing to do

Hey remember that one time when Yujiro showed us he's really the son of Yuichiro?

Hypothetically, if the Doctor that worked with Jack ran into Baki a few days after Yujiro killed Emi, would Baki have undergone the experiment?

What would Yujiro do if after threatening to violate someone, they actually want him to do it?

Like y'know how Yujiro threatens to 'Devour' people? If after threatening to defile someone to make a point, but they actually want him to do it, i.e: "You will?~" what would he do when his trump card doesn't work? Would he resort to violence? Or would he just walk away?

So we all agree that Sarracenia is easily the best opening of the series right?

I don't think I've heard an opening fit a certain arc and the overall vibes of the anime as much as this. And also its so GOOOD

Show someone Baki Dou as an introduction to Baki?

I’m showing a few of my friends Baki for the first time and they aren’t interested in anime in general, but I think they’ll appreciate the funny ridiculousness of it which is the main reason I like it. The Netflix series Baki is full of ridiculousness but the pacing is way too fast imo and it’s just fight fight fight with not enough story to balance it out, whereas in my opinion Baki Dou has a good mix of story and ridiculousness. I haven’t seen the OG Baki the grappler so I haven’t considered it but if you guys think it’s worth considering it let me know.

How strong would Ali Sr. be, buffed by narrator glaze?

Assuming he had a larger/more involved part in the story at any given point, not just the Ali Jr arc

How Many Human Kids Do You Think Yujiro Actually Has?

The only ones that we've know of is Baki & Jack, which makes me wonder how many kids (Human or whatever) that he has across the globe
