You know, I get there are technically worse mutations, but just think about this for a moment.

You have a "gene" that can make someone into a nigh-omnipotent reality warper and threat to the fabric of reality itself (ignore the insanity, that's part for the course for reality warpers), but instead you end up getting turned into KFC™ Victim Nr. 34,795.

That's funny, in a cosmic sort of way.

Has Hanayama ever tried using his grip strength on a guy's nuts in the anime/manga?

I know "haha balls" but I'm being serious, considering the fact that he's been shown to tear and crush things this could be a lethal, or at the very least crippling, attack for him to use. Hell, technically, the damage could be bad enough that surgery just wouldn't work and the bleeding would be massive (I think even Itagaki knows how bad actually damaging that area us).

I have a bit of an odd question/hypothetical, how would the X-Men react to meeting versions of themselves without the same complex histories?

We all know that when adaptations are made of comic book characters their histories are often greatly simplified, stream lined, and sometimes outright rewritten to be more palatable to audiences (I don't even mean removing poorly aged content, just stuff that doesn't really make sense without a much larger connected universe).

For example:

Beast meeting a version of himself who was always blue.

Angel meeting a version of himself that always had the healing blood.

Emma meeting a version of herself where her secondary mutation was natural.

Angel and Nightcrawler meeting versions of themselves without the added baggage of the Cheyarafim and Neyaphem.

Etc.

Basically meeting versions of themselves from another universe that got the movie adaptation treatment.
