If you have read about the design and production of Xmen evolution you might know that Spyke was originally a replacement of Iceman.

It finally clicked on me that this explains a part of Spyke's characterization. Mainly because Spyke is the youngest and more immature of the group and is also skating all the time. Similar to how Bobby was in the early days of xmen comics.

I imagine that the earliest drafts had Bobby as the "skater" character and it eventually shifted to Spyke. If you look at some scenes of him skating in season 1 it makes a lot more sense if it was Bobby doing his iceskating.

This is all just me speculating of course but I think it makes sense, skating was huge in 2000.

This is an amazing Crossover series that is about Clark Kent entering the Xavier School during Season 2. Its simply the best X-Men fanfic of all time in my opinion.
