The Grocery Outlet spiciness rule

If it's at Grocery Outlet and labeled as spicy, it's likely to be spicier than it looks, and that's why it's at Grocery Outlet.

Canned coffee (South Van Ness, San Francisco

I personally like Stok a little more since the caffeine content is a bit stronger. I'll drink a can before going to the gym for a workout but I won't complain about the 2 for $1 deal on the La Colombe either.

SimplyGO brand you like and don't like

Now that there are so many store branded products, which ones have you tried and like or do not like?

I like the Granolala and dried organic pasta.

I will not buy the cheese ever again (too rubbery for my liking) and have been disappointed in the few snacks I've tried.

I need to get some old fashioned oats and am only seeing the GO brand now.

Pasture raised eggs - 24 eggs / $4.29

bogo. I go into GO to get these eggs. pasture raised means the chickens are in the grass and fields and have access to insects and grass and worms.

i can’t get pasture raised at Costco

pasture-raised is a real certification — and a massive step up from free-range. Here’s the key breakdown:

Space per hen:

•	Conventional/caged: 67 sq inches

•	Cage-free: \~1 sq ft (indoors only)

•	Free-range: less than 2 sq ft — and many of those hens seldom see the light of day

•	Pasture-raised: at least 108 sq ft each, outdoors foraging on grass, bugs, and worms

The certification piece: The USDA doesn’t regulate “pasture-raised,” so the meaningful standard comes from third-party orgs like Certified Humane® (HFAC). To qualify, there can be no more than 1,000 birds per 2.5 acres, fields must be rotated, and hens must be outdoors year-round with housing for protection.

Trying Bonne Maman Cherry Pie Filling in my Overnight Oats

My store is out of all the Bonne Maman goodies but I finally opened this jar. It’s really good too. Tastes much more natural than the other cans, which I love. Can’t wait for breakfast tomorrow and using this for some other things. May bake a little torte with the rest.

I layered Greek yogurt and sliced bananas on top of the oats and almond milk. Topped with a big spoonful of the cherries.

Pleasant Hill/NorCal - Churu 4/$0.99

This is the cheapest I've seen these treats outside of specials/sales with 20% off packs, etc. If you have a cat or want to donate to a shelter, this is a great buy. This stuff is like Kitty Crack™️ and will help you win over a feral cat or get your kitty with no appetite to eat.

I bought a ton and will be distributing them to the various shelters around me.

I love Grocery Outlet and go there all the time and typically when stuff is either really close to expiration or has just expired it'll be dirt cheap. Which is pretty cool because then you can get something for much less than you would normally get it for and just use it right away. However the last few times I've gone there I've noticed that they've had stuff that is either about to expire or expired and it's still pretty much full price. I just went to buy some Welch's fruit gummies that expired mid April, so about 3 weeks ago and they were still trying to sell them for $4.99. It's really strange because typically these would be marked down heavily. Has anyone else noticed this?
