Hi everyone,

You are recommended to take part in the 'AI Use in College Learning Survey.' This study will help us learn more about the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in your college learning process and the role that these tools shape your academic experiences.

This research is being conducted with a professor in Ocean County College.

This survey is voluntary; if you decide to take part in this survey, you will be asked to answer eighteen (18) questions (17 multiple-choice questions and one short response question), which will take around 10-15 minutes to complete.

You can find the survey here:

- By clicking this link AI Use in College Learning Survey, to access it directly.

- By copying and pasting this URL https://forms.gle/ZubsCJabNRVLpVhA7.

If you are not currently enrolled in any college or university, then you are not advised to take part in this survey. Nevertheless, you are encouraged to share this survey with an eligible respondent.

Before responding here are some important things to note before attempting the survey.

The questions included will be related to:

  • Your academic background (only includes your age group, academic level, and area of study)
  • Frequency of AI tools used and which tools you use
  • Uses of AI in your academic studies
  • Your opinions about the use of AI tools in learning and academic achievements
  • View about academic integrity and concerns related with the use of AI tools

Please note that:

  • All data you provided will be kept confidential and will not identify you in any way.
  • Only information related to your age, academic level, and your major will be collected.
  • Information including your email, name, gender, where you study, and other sensitive information will not be collected.
  • The software 'Google Forms' will require you to sign in for you to complete the survey; we will not collect your email addresses.
  • You have the option to skip certain questions and leave the survey at any time you want, and there will be no consequences for you if you decide not to answer the questions.
  • You will not be entered into any draws for prizes. There is no financial incentive to complete this survey.

We appreciate your time and cooperation.

Regards,

A student from Ocean County College

HCC a&p1

Hi! I’m thinking about taking Professor Anthony Spilker for BSC2085 at HCC.

Were his tests usually similar to the reviews/study guides?
Did he use Honorlock or were exams in person?

Late registration concerns

I am very concerned. I have submitted my dual enrollment forms well before the due date of April 10. Still, I am being told my forms have not been submitted, and there is somehow no record of my submission. I know for a fact I submitted these on time.

I just went to Student Services on one of the campuses and they said to email the dual enrollment office. I have already been doing that all day sending whatever information I can about my forms but I don’t have proof of confirmation. I am very irritated; I know for a fact I submitted my forms since I made my parent sign them that day. Now I am being told I have to take these classes during the fall, but I will be busy with my high school coursework, so I am trying not to add additional work.

Do any of you have advice on who to contact? Do any of you have experience with late registrations? I don’t understand.

Transcript evaluation

I recently applied for the vet tech program at HC and I got this email this morning. Does this mean I was denied? I’m just confused because I met with two advisors prior to putting in my application and ensured I had all requirements needed for the program. I even had a degree audit and everything checked out for the program. I’m new to this and not super involved in the college so I’m just a little confused. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

It won’t let me post the pic of the email so here is what it says:

Your transcripts have been evaluated. You can view your evaluated transfer coursework via the HCC portal. Please see an academic advisor or counselor if you have any questions about your transcript evaluation. You are encouraged to see an advisor or counselor prior to your next registration to assist you in selecting courses to fulfill your remaining degree requirements.

Thank you in advance!!

EMT program

This might be a dumb question, but I’m starting the EMT program on Monday, and I’m not 100% if we have to wear our EMT uniform for lecture and lab, or if we can wear normal clothes. Does anyone know?
