Proud owner of this bad boy.
Dropped off the wife to get her nails done and went to the store next door and found this bad boy. Anyone else own the DVD? Oh, also it was only $8.00.
I would trust Dr. Dan with my life
Nobody does it better than Challis. He’s surgical with that shot glass
Ok, this video is awesome

This is one of my favorite videos of Dr. Dan Challis and it’s so funny! I love it 🎃🧙🏻💀
Tom Atkins at Mad Monster Expo next weekend!
Mad Monster Expo, a yearly horror con in Concord, NC (directly north of Charlotte), has Tom Atkins as one of their celebrity guests this year. He’s doing professional photos and signing autographs. Any other Halloween III enthusiasts going to be there to meet Dr. Challis himself? If so, I’ll see you there! :D
Dr. Dan’s specialty is house calls
Sometimes I wonder why Dan Challis decided to go into medicine. Our beloved doctor has so much game, it’s insane
Character Spotlight: Teddy (The MVP of Halloween III)
While Dr. Dan Challis and Ellie Grimbridge were off snooping around Santa Mira, back at the hospital, Teddy was doing the actual heavy scientific lifting. Though her screen time is brief, she plays a vital role in cracking open the Silver Shamrock mystery.
Why Teddy Was Absolute Greatness
She’s the Brains of the Operation: Dan Challis is a great protagonist, but let’s be honest—he’s mostly running on instinct, bourbon, and luck. Teddy is the one who actually sits down at the microscope, analyzes the wreckage from the car explosion, and pieces together that the "assassin" isn't human at all. She discovers the melted synthetic rubber, microchips, and wiring. Without her forensic breakthrough, Challis wouldn't even know what he was up against!
Instant Charisma & Chemistry: In a movie full of iconic Tom Atkins moments, Teddy holds her own effortlessly. Her warm, slightly flirtatious banter with Challis gives us such a great glimpse into their working relationship. You immediately like her within 30 seconds of her being on screen.
The dynamic between Dr. Dan Challis and Teddy adds a lot of personality to the hospital scenes in Halloween III. Right from their first interactions, the movie drops you into a relationship that clearly has history—giving off strong "exes who stayed friends" or "longtime colleagues with an unresolved spark" energy.
When Dan reaches out to Teddy for help examining the strange debris left behind in the assassin's wake, he isn't just pulling official channels—he relies on their personal rapport to get unauthorized, off-the-books answers. The way they talk to each other carries an easy, comfortable rhythm:
- The Dinner Offer: In their exchanges, Dan plays up his classic Tom Atkins charm, leveraging their playful connection. Teddy’s line—"I'm always ready for dinner with you"—delivers a hint of affection that hints their bond runs deeper than standard hospital co-workers.
- The Easy Familiarity: Unlike his tense interactions with his ex-wife, Dan’s conversations with Teddy feel natural, lighthearted, and mutually trusting. There's a subtle undertone of romantic tension—an unspoken "what if"—that makes their partnership immediately engaging.
Teddy isn't intimidated by Dan, nor is she just a sounding board. She teases him back with equal wit, treating his sudden late-night forensic favors not as a nuisance, but as an opportunity to share a quiet moment and banter.
That playful spark makes her eventual fate all the more tragic. She went out of her way to stay late in the lab and analyze evidence specifically because Dan asked her to—making her violent end at the hands of the Silver Shamrock enforcer feel like a gut punch, cutting short a relationship that easily could have been a central romance of the film.
A Reshoot Legacy: Fun bit of trivia—director Tommy Lee Wallace actually added Teddy during reshoots because in the original cut, Challis just talked to an off-screen coroner on the phone. Creating Teddy was a stroke of genius because it gave the scene actual heart and visual energy.
Her Devastating Loss
Which brings me to her death... man, this one hurts every single time.
Teddy was just doing her job, working late in the lab, trying to get answers for her friend (a most definitely part time lover) Dan. Seeing that Silver Shamrock suit slip into the background of the frame still gives me chills. The drill to the head is one of the most brutal and sudden kills in the entire film, and her loss was absolutely devastating. She deserved to make it to the end credits!
Teddy wasn't just a body-count metric—she was smart, capable, charming, and crucial to the plot. Halloween III wouldn't be the same without her!
Justice for Teddy! 🎃🔬⚡
Cochran was a real jerk
What kind of monster would do such a thing 🎃🧙🏻💀
H3:Season of the Witch
Thoughts on Season of the Witch?
It’s my favorite out of the first 3 Halloween movies tbh and it’s definitely up there in my Carpenter films ranking but I see very mixed reviews on Season of the Witch and I can see the hate but also this one gets too much hate for how good and different it is tbh.
Love the concept of it being set on Halloween as an Anthology film,Great cinematography here, and that score is amazing! Wish they continued in this Anthology direction tbh bc I love this idea in this franchise(plus no Thorn trilogy)
Going to meet the man himself this October at Scaradise in Tampa!! Anyone else going??
I’ll be in Tampa beginning of October to attend my first Horror Con!! Anyone else hitting this up?? I’m super excited!!
