Weighted superslow dips PR

Got a 3rd rep with +90lbs for a PR, admittedly I had to deload at the bottom for a few seconds before attempting it but last time I tried +90lbs I only got the 2 reps

My training has become increasingly minimalist over the last couple of years, to the point that I currently train daily but just do the 2 sets per session - usually one compound and one isolation lift, I'm maximizing train sessions with minimal work per session, in line with modern HIT thinking

The slow rep cadence and higher TUT makes zero difference to the hypertrophy potential of a set but are about as safe a way to train as possible, and after a certain point, training safety and longevity become a priority if you want to keep doing this training thing into your later years

Is the intensity ok?

I’m not sure if this is considered failure. I usually do 2 sets because i’m not sure if the first set did hit failure. Here, i did a drop set as i was aiming for 8 reps but got 6. How do you guys gauge failure?

What do you think about strongman exercises like Farmers Walk?

Always loved them.

Farmers walk and log press together are complete full body workout by themselves.

I can do them heavy up to 130kg+ / hand without straps or belt but prefer bit lighter to walk slower and in control.

How to program a PPL high intensity routine.

I have been hoping between high intensity and high volume training. I really like the Push Pull Legs split and i really would want to go back to high intensity, slower reps to failure training style. Is anyone doing high intensity training using a 3 way PPL split? Can you share how you would set that up? Thank you.
