When you think about all the Magical Creatures you end up separating from their home and fellow creatures.

I always make sure they go to a good home though, and damn, I still can’t get over how much Adam looks like I do irl.

Anyone know the story of this in the opening of the game?

I don’t want to admit how many times I’ve played the storyline to completion, but I’ll admit I’ve seen this a few times while I wander more and more. After you break the first wall usinh a basic cast for the first time you can find this to the right of the area where you learn to inspect and find the statue in a courtyard. Just after Fig uses Repairo on the bridge.

It feels like some kind of tribute? Anyone? I was unsuccessful in my Googling, so if you are smarter than me, please enlighten.

Hope you’re having a good day. 🤘🏻✌🏻🖖🏻

Hogwarts Legacy 2 - what if??

Big time HP fan - Books forever!!

Recently started playing Hogwarts Legacy. Partner and I are obviously addicted 🤩.

Just had a thought - it would be so cool to play The Triwizard Tournament in legacy 2.

Post-cursed child Hogwarts. Reinstated tournament.

What do we think? Too childish a dream?

Hufflepuff

I have only ever played as Ravenclaw and my kiddo helped me with the sorting in the new game we got Hufflepuff. I just need to say this, I am obsessed with their common room!!! Oh my gosh it’s so Hobbit coded and I love it.

I thought Professor Weasley was secretly evil at first.

I just finished the main storyline on my first playthrough. As the titles says, I thought Professor Weasley was going to be the classic Harry Potter twist villain.

She seemed so keen in trying to figure out what we were doing that I thought she was either a descendant of Isidora that was trying to continue her work, or even Isidora herself who somehow found a way to use ancient magic to slow her aging to the point of almost immortality. I won't lie and say I wasn't waiting for the other shoe to drop the entire time I was playing.

Unrelated note: I thought Isidora's and Ranrok's stories were going to be more intertwined in some way. Like maybe he was the goblin she contracted for goblin silver and witnessed the power of ancient magic first hand or something. I was a slightly disappointed to find out that wasn't the case.

Incendio Bug?

I'm up to exploring Isadora's house and I get to a point where I think I need to light some torches on fire. I go to swap to Incendio, after swapping to it and closing the menu, the UI pops up with a tutorial and freezes out all other commands except for me looking around. How the heck do I get past this bug?

I just noticed something

Let's not talk about how the trailers mislead us into thinking that the game will be more classes and less Merlin Trials. I get it. It is a game after all. Players need to play.

But I noticed something on my recent playthrough that I haven't realized before.

All of Sebastian's quest start with "In the Shadow of..." let it be Main or Side quests.

The other friendship quest with Poppy or Natty, nor the Main quests got the same treatment.

This made me think that maybe there were plans to make NPC-s more interactive, and maybe make us feel more like a Hogwarts student, and less of a chronic truant.

Either that, or the developers just really liked Sebastian when they made the game and they put more thought into making his quests and character.

New to the game, finished the dueling quests and the training quest, but I need to practice dodge for Prof Hecat, how can I get them?

Do I need to go into the dark forest or something to find enemies that I can dodge with? Or is there a way to do it in Hogwarts?

Is there really no way of learning Avada Kedavra if you pick the wrong dialogue options?

Not realizing that’s where Sebastian would have taught me the spell I picked the wrong dialogue option, I also told Ominis to turn Sebastian in (I saw a video saying you should but didn’t actually watch it because of spoilers) so did I miss out on the opportunity to learn the spell or is there some other way to learn it? I also saved over the choices not realizing they were as important as they were. I only want to learn it for the achievement, I feel like actually using it would just make fights too easy

Does anyone know of a way to get the Chamber of Secrets mod without having to download it in-game? I prefer manually installing mods but I am completely unfamiliar with CurseForge and don't know why I can't get it through their website like other mods..

Title says it all. Thank you

Sebastian is a Slytherin for a reason.

Sebastian is a Slytherin for a narrative reason, and I think he'd be less controversial if the writers made it more obvious.

At first, every interaction paints him as friendly, mischievous, and a bit sad/tragic. I hated him at first, and was genuinely baffled when Professor Weasley suggested him as one of the MC's escorts to Hogsmeade, but warmed up to him immensely after the library incident.

Speaking of which, the library incident does a lot of heavy lifting. Not enough people point out that, more than likely, it WASN'T a sacrifice on his part!

The next interaction with Sebastian after that is when he is showing MC the Undercroft. MC tries to thank him for keeping their involvement secret, and he says, "madam Scribner tried to give me detention, but I have ways out of these things." At the end of the quest, Ominis says, " My father is friends with the headmaster. I'm not afraid to exploit that connection if I need to." Obviously he's saying this to scare MC into not telling people about the undercroft, but I don't think it's a coincidence that all this happens in the same quest.

Ominis will do anything for Sebastian, and it's likely that includes keeping him out of trouble even he had to turn to his father for help. All Sebastian suffered for getting caught in the library was getting yelled at by Scribner, and what he got out of it was the favor of MC and most of the fandom (including me).

I think it's generally agreed that by the end he goes too far, but he wasn't doing that much good to begin with.

Sebastian isn't noble. He might have started out studying extracurricular magic to help Anne, but by the time MC meets him he's pursuing avenues that have nothing to do with curse-breaking or healing. How in the world are unforgivable curses or inferi supposed to help her?

The answer is that Sebastian isn't a Gryffindor saving his sister, a Hufflepuff doing everything he can to help a friend, or even a Ravenclaw whose thirst for knowledge extends past what everyone else regards as appropriate. This is intentional: he's an ambitious Slytherin. "Helping Anne" is an excuse to follow his own desires and feed his ego, while manipulating others into helping him.

With all this being said, I think Sebastian is a great character. His story is compelling and I wish he was redeemable, but he was never meant to be.
