Honda Elevate Purchase Decision

I have a simple question for everyone who bought the Honda Elevate:

Q: What factor made you choose the Honda Elevate over other cars in the same segment?

For me it was low price and reliability of Honda cars

Suggestion for car

Hey everyone, I need your help picking out a car. I'm stuck between the Elevate and Duster right now, but feel free to suggest other options too.

Here's what I'm looking for:

SUV stance and commanding driving position.

Decent or good safety

Something that's not too boring, but not super sporty either

Just the basic features would be enough(I don't need a ton of tech)

I live in a small town, so no Duster or Honda dealerships nearby (meaning I need something reliable and easy to fix if something comes up quickly)

Most of my driving will be a mix of city and highway.

Hey, if any Duster or Elevate owners are out there, could you tell me about the cons, like service or maintenance any other stuff

Any suggestions or advice would be really helpful, guys. Thank you in advance

I just told chat gpt to make a facelift of my 4 months old elevate

Some similarity with the new honda vehicles launched in India like new city and zR-v have logo on bonnet

Connected drl, with out changing the headlight, as this will not only make us keep the old headlamp and just need to change the middle drl part from the existing chrome part

And redesigned bumper or just the fog lamp housing design

Mileage review

Total distance covered (546.4 + 34) 580.4 Km. Total fuel consumed (tank to tank autocut) 33.5 l.

Mileage comes to 17.32kmpl that too in an 20 mins idle slow moving traffic...

Very happy with the mileage...

Difference in claims for direct insurer policy vs dealer issued policy

A lot of people go with dealer insurance because of the “easy/hassle-free claims” thing. That’s what the salesmen say anyway, right?

But one thing people often miss is that the surveyor is appointed by the insurer, and they’re the ones who assess the damage and decide what gets approved.

So if you buy ICICI insurance directly from ICICI vs buying the same ICICI policy through a dealer, the claim experience shouldn’t suddenly be different just because you bought it from the dealer.

And yes, the ASC/dealer is still there to help with the claim process and handling regardless of where you bought the policy from.

So what should you actually look at when buying insurance with a new car?

Two things mainly:

1. The price the dealer is offering.

2. What exactly is included in the quote - which insurer, IDV, and which add-ons.

Don’t just compare the final premium. Ask for the actual quote and check what you’re paying for.

And to be safe, check the insurer’s own cashless garage list as well. That way you know whether the ASC/dealer you’ll be using is actually cashless with that particular insurer.

Dealer insurance isn't always bad. Just don’t assume it’s automatically better because the salesman says “claims are hassle-free.”

One week with my new Elevate

Hello,
It’s just been a week with my new Elevate, and I’ve driven around 500 km so far.
Here are my takeaways for now.

Ease of driving: Even in a city like Pune, with a lot of traffic, I can drive it comfortably and easily.
Ground clearance: The 220 mm GC helps a lot on bad roads. You can experience some body roll, but overall, the ground clearance is really good.
Brakes: I really like how good the brakes are. Even at 100 km/h, the car handles braking very nicely.
Performance: I’ve driven it in the hilly areas near Pune with full load, and it pulls very neatly. Obviously, it’s not going to be like a turbo. But sufficient. I have manual transmission.
Mileage: I’m getting around 9–10 km/l in Pune city. I managed 13+ km/l while going towards Pawna Lake. I think it can easily give 15+ km/l on highways.
Infotainment system: It’s very basic, but I don’t use it much anyway, just for music and maps. I have the VX, and the sound quality is decent. The reverse camera quality is also nice. LaneWatch is pretty average but does the job. Also, CarPlay has disconnected a couple of times.
Seat comfort: I’m 5’8”, and the seating is pretty comfortable for me. Even in the rear seat, my friend who is 6’ didn’t find it uncomfortable, despite what people say online.
NVH levels: I’m not sure why people online say it has horrible NVH levels. I find it decent . Yes, you can hear some tyre noise on the highway when the music is off, but changing the tyres should reduce that. It could definitely be better, but it’s not as bad as people claim.
Overall, it has been a good experience so far. My main priorities were reliability and safety, which is why I went with Honda.
I’ll be covering around 1,000 km in a day next weekend while travelling home, so I’ll share more after that.

Insurance Renewal

Hi,

My elevate is completing 1 year, Insurance renewal time. Showroom people are quoting a higher amount than the website like policy bazar or Acko.

the difference is difference is around 3k rupees.i am choosing the liberty insurance is this good?

will there be any problem if i choose outside showroom? last insurance i went with showroom and claimed, there was no hassle with the claims so thats the only reason i am opting for showroom again.

they are saying they wont match outside amount as i have claims and NCB is 0.

please let me your thoughts, will it be difference in treatment if not opting for showroom insurance?

Here’s what happens if you don’t take zero dep

This is my own story.

It does feel different when someone from the industry ignores zero dep. I didn’t take zero dep because we had barely claimed anything, the car was getting older, it was/is mainly city driven and I thought it wasn’t really worth paying extra for it.

Then one day out of the blue the car got crashed into a divider.

The front right side was damaged, including suspension parts like the lower arm and ball joint, and the bumper had a crack.

Garage quote was around ₹19k.

We ended up paying around ₹7k out of pocket.

Not too bad.

But it got me thinking that if zero dep is only a few thousand more, it can be worth having when something goes wrong. But if you’re comfortable paying the depreciation out of pocket later (like me), then basic coverage can be perfectly fine too.

There’s no right or wrong here.

It entirely depends on the amount of risk you’re comfortable taking and whether you want to shift that risk to the insurer for ₹X more in premium.

Simple.

Elevate deal revieq

Hi Guys, I have been hearing about a lot of deals on the honda Elevate and we have to buy a new car in this segment.

The variant we are looking at is the ZX cvt

I went to my local dealer in Panchkula and negotiated down to 17.10L with them. With 17.10 (on Road Haryana), they are giving me car mats and Mud flaps and the 360cam. The 360 cam is just something wanted to get and decided to just get it done.

I keep hearing about deals on the lines of 16.5 and close to that and I have tried negotiating with the dealer on that end but they are not willing to go lower.

How do you think I should proceed, and is this deal a good one?

Edit - Sorry for the typo in the heading :(

damaged

Showroom staff damaged the car, which is barely 4 months old. While shifting it from point A to B, they caused this damage. Now they say they'll paint the whole door and that the person responsible will pay for it. I called the showroom owner and shouted at everyone there. They pleaded and said, 'Please come tomorrow; we will hand over and fix it.' The damage is significant, and I feel disheartened.

What should I do next?

Honda Elevate Aug 26 Price. Worth it?

Hi All,

I am planning to buy Honda Elevate Zx CVT Signature Black Edition. The dealer quotation mentions Insurance (1+3 Yr) 43k, Zero depreciation 14k, RTI 3k, Roadside Assistance 8k, all summing up to around 68k. Dealer said that the discount component (95k) includes 10k discount from the insurance as well bringing cost down to 58k.

My concern is, since RSA is already included in insurance, should I also take the Honda/dealer RSA? Is it worth it?
