I wish to live my whole life in India because I love everything here; except the fact that my LTCG won’t be discounted with Indexation.

This is my subtle request to restart the conversation around Indexation because I can’t afford to pay 12.5% flat LTCG tax. Please Nirmala Ma’am🙏🏼

Only if they sold 2XL, I’d rate them 10/10. Otherwise, strong 9/10 [₹1200 for two]

HOT TAKE: Residential Real Estate shouldn’t be available as an investment pod. Emphasis on ‘Residential’

Commercial real estate is 100% for profit & understandable; but the amount of empty societies & empty houses because the seller knows they can charge upto 2x the price of a house & just hold supply hurts families who want to own a single house for them & their children.

All opinions i.e. for/against, are welcome 🙏🏼

Maruti Suzuki will dogwalk the Micro SUV segment (a what-if)

If Maruti Suzuki release an upgraded version of Wagon R in a micro SUV form - only competitor standing could be Punch - other than that, Magnite & others would get absolutely demolished.

Imagine a Wagon R with better interior, infotainment & electrically adjusted ORVM from base model - with ground clearance of 190mm

Opposing thoughts are most welcome🙏🏼

Why is there no startup capitalising on productive mobility? An EV traveller with foldable tables & wifi enabled inside?

We all hate travelling 1-1.5 hours one side to work - imagine a comfortable but cheap cab or traveller who takes you to your office but you can work on the journey.

I’d rather review & plan my work on the commute & be in the zone to work while I reach the office rather start my work in office & actually start my work about 35 minutes in.

I’d pay ₹400 per side like a lot of people who pay for cabs for their office & get it reimbursed

Be honest - is he really good?

I know there are super die hard fans of Atul & Shirish sir - but does he solve all the questions in class? does he teach well? does he stays patient with the topic & does he deserve the praise? [KEEP THE DISCUSSION TEACHING
ORIENTED]

I’m thinking of taking one of these

I’m thinking of teaching CA Foundation Law in a Regular-cum-fasttrack batch (for approx 80 hours)

I’m thinking of recording lectures & along with it providing the following:

- Chapter wise revision videos (with imp questions coverage & important questions list)

- free question writing mini batch on youtube

- 1.5 days super-quick revision videos on youtube (around half of full revision length)

If this is enough or if there is anything else required, please let me know & I’ll cover that as well 🤠🙏🏼

thank you in advance & all the best 🧿

Switching to Single group from both (Finals, Nov’26)

TLDR - firm’s calling me back so I’m going for some 💰; I was doubtful of passing both groups so this made more sense, kinda doubtful still.

Full version:

I’m a direct entry candidate who’s given intermediate exams & cleared both the groups within my articleship period. I was done with them around 6 months before my actual first attempt of CA Final

Final’s first attempt came & I tried studying from teacher’s handwritten notes & revision videos for group 1 - FELL FLAT ON MY FACE

Second attempt came (Sept25) & I was called back to office mid-leaves due to having extension in articleship and the firm couldn’t afford to have seasoned articles out on leaves during peak audit szn

Third attempt came (Jan26) & I completed my AFM classes & audit classes around 80%, FR was still wonky (I was still doing a lot of chapters from revision videos) & gave the exam

By the time my forth attempt came (May26) I was almost done with my extension of articleship & decided to part ways healthily with the firm & did whatever I could for May 2026

After May26 my plan was to give single group in Sept26 & Jan27 but ICAI made changes - chalo no problem👍🏼

NOW, I knew completing FR via classes (because my concepts were not up to the mark), finishing AFM’s forex & IFM, whole DT via a 90-100 hours super fast batch & IDT via 60 hours super fast batch would be a task for me but I planned on giving both groups for Nov26 (I knew it’d be hard & my plan was to pass at least one group in Nov26 & one in May27)

Got a call from the my old manager a few days ago & they asked me to join on contract basis for two months where they’d pay me what they pay to a unqualified CA who has done articleship from their firm (around 55k per month).

I accepted that because of my family’s financial condition is a bit weaker in summers due to a certain set of market conditions - pretty normal, this happens every year so no issue but we do have some financial obligations to meet. So the money would help.

I discussed that I’d need to be free by first week of august so that I have around 2.75 months of revision for my group-1 exams. Right now I’d need to do around 1.5 hours a day of class with office.

I’m sure I made the right choice but there are doubts here & there creeping in.

I know for sure that I’d be completely fine when I clear CA because of my adequate self confidence.

But should I have stuck with the both groups plan ? - an additional issue with that plan was conceptual clarity - I was SUPER doubtful whether the teachers would be able to install all the required knowledge of the subject for a first timer in such amount of time, this is the reason why I leaned towards office such that I kinda knew this much time would be inadequate to study DT/IDT for the first time

second issue was age, I’m in my mid twenties & I neeed to contribute to my home; I think it’s better to rather contribute to the household than to try to pass both groups in a single attempt given my case

btw the firm is big6 so no issue at all switching from here to another firm post CA given the attempts & I’m completely fine working here post CA as well

Re-arrange the GOAT list as per your opinions ; you can move anyone up or down any rank

This is your starting list:
1 GSP
2 DJ
3 Jones

4 Pereira & Makhachev (only because Makhachev defended against a guy who tried to be double champ & then he moved up to become a double champ as well)
5 Ilia
6 Volk

7 Merab/Khabib/Pantoja
8 Kamaru/Izzy/Aldo
9 DC/Stipe

10 Max/DDP/Yan/Silva/Aljo

HERE ME OUT - Izzy vs Jamahal (at 205) - for their fanbases to get a glimmer of hope

This is the EASIEST matchup to make for two falling-off fighters & the winner gets a future-prospect matchup

We can say “this guy beat an improved Izzy/Hill coming off a win” for the said prospect.
