This week in Coimbra -- free poetry, fado in the garden, and a good excuse to go out Wednesday

Decent week coming up for Coimbra:

- **TRACOS DO POEMA** at Largo do Romal, today 19:00 -- free, performing arts/workshop mix, sounds like a nice way to spend an evening outdoors

- **Em Casa d'Amalia** (fado) at Jardim da Sereia, today -- perfect setting for fado honestly, hard to beat a garden fado night

- **Argentina Nos Une** at Liquidambar, Wed 18:00-00:30 -- food, live music, and party all in one, seems like the pick if you want a full night out

- **Procissao Penitencial** in Baixa de Coimbra, Wed 19:30 -- more traditional/religious event if that's your thing

I'll probably do the fado tonight and save Argentina Nos Une for tomorrow's plans.

Can anyone explain if these are related? A gas leak prompted an evacuation at the Costco Iwilei on Tuesday afternoon and if you recall, there was a gas leak in June.

Today

"HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A gas leak prompted an evacuation at the Costco Iwilei on Tuesday afternoon. Honolulu Fire Department logs show crews responded to 525 Alakawa Street shortly after 1 p.m. A hazardous materials unit was among the crews called to the scene. No injuries were immediately reported, and officials have not yet released additional details about the source of the leak."

Community assistance/supplies

Seems like a lot of people have no power, internet, etc. and I’ve noticed in threads people offering random supplies. To make it easier for everyone to see, I thought I’d make a thread. If not allowed feel free to delete mods.

I have 10 frozen gel packs, a small 9x9x11 and medium size 12x13-ish foam cooler, and an old bag cooler. I’m in kaimuki but willing to drive to Manoa or Aina Haina to meet up. No need to return after, just pass it on if you don’t need when power comes back on, or save it.

If anyone has something they need or want to donate/let people borrow. Throw it up here.

Lala's Wrath: Homes Swept Away, Some Power Outages May Last Months

I am going to say it FIRST!! Will THE STATE utilize and use any of the funds in “THE RAINY DAY FUND?”

It IS a public state asset owned by the State of Hawaii. It is managed collectively by the state government, with deposits and withdrawals regulated by the Hawaii Legislature and the Governor.

Lala is a “declared” emergency 🚨‼️ USE THE FUNDS.
