[Question] Gesture navigation animations are laggy and slow, how can I fix this?

It starts to happen when the phone is on idle, it also happens when the phone's transition speed is set to relaxed,

However there's no advanced textures on my phone

I tried disabling gesture navigation then switching to buttons then back gesture navigation again.

It started happening yesterday and I didn't notice how slow and choppy this is

[Question] Would future HyperOS updates allow us to remove this thing? (This is just a concept!)

https://preview.redd.it/z2j9h9yydi2h1.png?width=727&format=png&auto=webp&s=66a2f8e4fb2f390891e37a5db990d51a6209379f

You would able to remove some status bar icons such as Bluetooth, Alarm, and among others right? Except VoLTE and VoWiFi (which requires you to go to mobile networks option to disable VoLTE). This would be great if you don't want clutter too, We would see this hopefully on the future HyperOS versions without needing a first/third-party theme.

What on earth is Google Messages doing in the background?

Notification Log shows this, what is happening with my phone via Google Messages?

This happens pretty much every day.

No new messages were being sent or received when this happened.

[Question] Rearding advanced textures after the HyperOS 3.1 update

I enabled advanced textures using Brevent on my Poco M7 Pro 5G (Redmi note 14 5G) running hyperos 3.0.1.0 (global). Will this setting disappear when I update to hyperos 3.1? I know that advanced textures can't be enabled after updating to hyperos 3.1, but does anyone know what happens if I've already enabled them and then update? I'd really appreciate it! The security update patch for Hyperos 3.0.1.0 is scheduled for 2026/04/01.

[Question] How to stop Hyper OS 3.0 on Poco F8 Pro from showing ads (App install suggestions and Mi Video) on App Finder drawer menu

this is like the most basic of UIs in the phone software and it's got ads on it....

Ive already clicked on withdraw consent and removed Mi Video from the settings yet it still shows. Did not find a setting to get rid of the app suggestions slop. Also have gotten rid of every setting related to ads in the phone, but I've yet to use bloatware removers or custom DNS and would like those 2 to be last resort

[Question] Home screen theme clock disappeared

I think my phone (redmi note 13 pro 5g, HyperOS3) updated without me noticing, and now the home clock widgets that came with different themes are gone. I only have the ones found in the theme store and can't find the old ones in the "android widgets" menu. Any way to get the old ones back? I find the store ones very ugly :(

[Question] How to enable Control Center blur ONLY on HyperOS 3? (Brevent method caused lag in Recents)

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for a way to get the default Xiaomi blur effect back on my Control Center and volume bar on HyperOS 3.0.301.0, but with a few specific constraints.

My Constraints:

No Root: I do not want to root my device. I am strictly looking for non-root methods.

Blur Type: I don't care if it's a static blur or the advanced texture blur. As long as it works and replaces the solid gray background, I'm perfectly fine with either.

No Themes: I did not like the third-party or custom themes from the Theme Store. I want the default, stock Xiaomi blur.

What I've tried:

I already tried the global blur method via Brevent/ADB, but it forces blur across the entire system elements. While it successfully fixed the Control Center, it caused noticeable lag and stutter whenever I opened the Recents/Recent Apps page, so I had to revert it.

What I’m looking for:

Is there a specific method that enables the blur exclusively for the Control Center and maybe the volume panel?

I want to keep the Recents page and apps folder stock to avoid that performance drop.

Has anyone figured out how to isolate the blur to just these specific elements without ruining performance elsewhere on a non-rooted device? Thanks in advance!

[question] should I update my phone?

As you can see I have Redmi 14c 4 ram I have never updated it since I bought it 2 years ago so I was wandering

is it worth to update it ?

Does it help performance wise ?

Will it lag when I play games ?

What is the changes ?

Thank you in advance

[Question] how to change this ?

Can anybody help? Like the second image was my wallpaper, and I think the dynamic colors appeared on Google apps. Then I changed my wallpaper to the third image, and the Google apps are still not changing to match that color. Or, I don't even care if the colors don't match; I just want it to be dark mode-like.

[Discussion] Tried Xiaomi HyperOS Launcher 7.0 and I’m more worried than excited

I had some hope back in HyperOS 1 when Xiaomi started rewriting system apps, but after trying HyperOS Launcher 7.0, I’m honestly concerned about the direction.

From what I inspected:

  1. "com.miui.home" seems significantly larger than before

  2. Flutter-related components ("libhyper_os_flutter.so") appear inside the package

  3. Some modding / hook-based customization seems affected

  4. Gesture/navigation behavior still feels inconsistent

  5. Recent apps and app drawer animations feel less responsive

  6. Adaptive icon rendering and vector handling seem off in some cases

  7. Wallpaper blur behavior appears unreliable

  8. App open/close transitions don’t feel less polished than expected

What confuses me most:

If the goal wasn’t cross-platform distribution, why move launcher-level rendering toward Flutter?

I understand Flutter has advantages:

+ Faster development

+ Unified rendering layer

+ Easier maintenance

But launcher interactions are one of the most latency-sensitive parts of Android.

Maybe Xiaomi is optimizing for long-term architecture and modular updates, but compared to my expectations during HyperOS 1, this feels like a different direction.

Questions:

  1. Anyone else tested HyperOS Launcher 7.0?

  2. Is this a transition phase or intentional direction?

  3. Did you notice differences vs older MIUI / early HyperOS?

  4. Any technical explanation for the Flutter decision?

Interested in actual testing and discussion, not just “works fine for me”.
