Wanted to share some insight incase anyone else in Ontario Canada was trying to get one and wanted to know market rates.

Called around to the Ontario dealerships and pinned them against each other. Managed to snag the 2026 Kona (Preferred + Trend Package, AWD) in Mirage Green for 35K CAD + Tinted Windows + Winter tires (rubbers, no rims) thrown in. Financed it at 3.49% over 60 months (~730 credit score). Biweekly payment is $340 CAD. DM if you have questions.

My AWD Kona would stutter, chop, and drag from the rear when making turns from a stop. 15,000 mileage on the car. I did some research and saw this is very common on newer AWD Kia and Hyundai models, and the fix is usually throw a new rear coupler in, but it will inevitably fail again. When I brought the car in for service and explained the symptoms, the tech said he already know what the issue was. This interaction leads me to believe they see this issue all the time, and the cars frequently come back later with the same part failing.

I just test drove this car and I'm about to buy it I think. Please reassure me!

I'm in the preliminary stages of helping my young adult son (new college grad) shop for a new car. We are waiting to see if he got the position he applied for which would necessitate a commute. Right now, he doesn't drive much. When he does, he uses my Toyota Rav4Prime. Because of this, he's gotten comfortable with the whole suite of safety features (including a birdseye camera, front and back cross traffic alerts, and front and back parking sensors). Ofc, I know it's important to know how to drive without all the bells and whistles (and he has tried that before), but I do like the idea of his first car having modern safety features.

In addition to safety features, we are looking for a car with a small footprint (for city, crowded suburb, and small parking lot maneuvering) with a useable 2nd row. The Kona Limited is one of the very few subcompact SUVs that checks all of these boxes.

I started looking for a 2024 Limited AWD that is CPO, and it seems are hard to come by in the northeast. Any tips for searching? Would you recommend talking to a local dealership and having them keep a lookout for leased 2024s being turned in? I have alerts set on Cars.com and have checked Hyundai's CPO site. There are just a handful within a reasonable drive. One looks like a lemon (from its Carfax report). Others are overpriced and/or seem to be on the lots of unscrupulous dealers who are padding the fees.

Any suggestions (or feedback on this car) are welcome. If we buy, it would probably be during the 2nd week of August. TIA.

Found a nice deal via True Car on ‘23 Kona electric. We’ve bought several new cars at the dealership but this is our first used car purchase.

I need help understanding the CarFax report. There have been a few local owners. The last only had it for 3 months. Have concerns about future maintenance (ICC) Wheel of Fortune… and don’t see the extended warranty that I heard about.

I don’t want to be an idiot. Any help would be much appreciated

Can those who own or have bought one share their experiences with the vehicle? Going through Enterprise for warranty and want to know if these cars are high maintenance or have a lot of issues

Hi all. Anyone experience mile difference after fill up or in general for example today after shut off car it’s 270 miles left and tomorrow start car it shows 300 or sometime 250 miles? New car driven for four months. Thank you

Sono in confusione totale perché 30k per ste macchine di plastica mi viene da piangere, ma vabbè.

Stavo solezionando e ho trovato che danno full Hybrid nuova la Hyundai Kona dai 25/27k, ho visto belle recensioni.

In alternativa la Kia Niro sembra più bella ma non trovo prezzi realistici online, cioè dovrei andare in concessionaria ma secondo me verrà sui 30 che iniziano ad essere un po' troppi.

Altra papabile Suzuki scross ma non mi piace troppo internamente. Certo la Kona non è bellissima fuori...

Anche mg zs ma non mi convince la cinesità.

Le sto cercando anche usate ma sinceramente non trovo granché su questi modelli, e per 2/3k di differenza preferirei il nuovo anche se il poter usare la macchina senza troppe preoccupazioni di bottarelle varie come ora, non mi dispiace.

Ho trovato una Niro del 2025 km0 bella anche plugin a 26k ma ho scoperto che poi il bagagliaio si riduce troppo.

Altro problema è il box auto che ho, molto piccolo largo 2.7 e lungo 4.8m, ultimo box con parete da un lato, ma spero che con queste dimensioni di auto entro i 440cm di lunghezza posso farcela..

When I got in my 2026 SEL Sport yesterday (USA) I saw a notification for a recall on the rear middle/center seat belt. Apparently in the event of a crash the seatbelt on that seat might not function properly. Anybody else hear of this? How quickly does Hyundai move in regards to recalls? I don’t use that seat often, (my dog is tethered to the seat buckle behind the driver) but I’d like to have the peace of mind. My schedule is about a month or so out from becoming non-stop busy where I’ll need my car so I’m just trying to prepare lol. TIA!

ETA: this is my first Hyundai, my last car was a 2018 Nissan Rogue leased new and I had maybe two recalls on it in the 8 years I owned it that weren’t nearly as pressing WRT safety. I had a much more normal life schedule wise so taking it in wasn’t a logistical nightmare lol

Hi all, as the title says I’m in the market for a new car and I’m interested in getting a new 2026 Kona SEL. I did a bit of research and saw the engine issues, the oil suckers and all sorts of stuff in older models. I also had mixed reviews from others who just don’t like Hyundai in general.

I personally drove 2 Hyundais, a Santa Fe back in 2010 and I had a 2014 Sonata for many years and had no issues.

Basically I’m just wondering if anyone’s had weird issues or something reminiscent of older models in the 2026 Kona. Like any problems or concerns with the new shift by wire gear shift? Any issues with the engines still? The screen interface is glitchy?

The Kona has pretty much everything I want in a vehicle currently just want something that will be reliable in the long run.

As a previous 2020 Kona owner, I'm super impressed with the 2026 Limited. It's got so many features that are typically found on much more expensive cars.

However, I test drove the 2026 a couple of days ago and had some issues with both the acceleration and the ride. Of course the change from a CVT affects the acceleration... but the bumpy-ish ride on fairly smooth pavement really bothered me. Is this potentially an anomaly on the specific car I drove, or is it a pervasive issue with the Kona? It could be a deal breaker.

Hoping someone here has dealt with this because my buddy and I are at our absolute wits' end. He recently bought a pre-owned 2019 Hyundai Kona 1.6T Ultimate here in Canada. Since it’s the Ultimate trim, it absolutely should have remote start capability, but we literally cannot access it at all.

Here is the situation:

1. The dealership only gave him one single remote key fob. To make things worse, since it's a 2019, there is no dedicated physical hold-to-start button on it. We’ve tried the classic lock-button tricks we read online (pressing Lock, then holding down Lock again, etc.) but the parking lights just flash once and absolutely nothing happens. We've realized that on the 2019s, you are apparently 100% reliant on the app for remote start.
2. We downloaded the Bluelink app to set up the cellular remote start. The app is a complete disaster. It refuses to let him execute any commands or finish setting up. It just flashes a generic message saying: "An unexpected error occurred and it can't be fixed at this time." It gives zero other details, no error codes, nothing.

We are stuck. We live in Canada, so having a working remote start before winter hits, is pretty much non-negotiable for him.

• Has anyone with a 2019 managed to bypass this specific "unexpected error" message? Is it an issue with Hyundai Canada transferring the VIN's ownership to his account?
• If the Bluelink network module in the car is frozen, is there a way to hard-reset the cellular modem from the cabin?
• Should he go back and fight the dealer for a second key, or just give up on Bluelink entirely and look into a third-party kit ?

We're a family with two tall adults (6'4"/190 cm + 5'11"/180 cm), one toddler, and a baby on the way.

We live in Paris with a tight parking spot, but we primarily use our current car for road trips to the mountains or the coast, or for big shopping trips to Costco or Ikea.

We're currently torn between:

• Toyota Yaris Cross
• Toyota CHR (We talked ourselves out of this because we saw people complaining that the back seat is dark and kids complain about it)
• Hyundai Kona (New: the Kona is more expensive, but we're looking at a 2024 with a 1-year warranty but 0 kilometres)

I feel like in previous posts I keep seeing Americans saying these cars are too small for a family, but we're currently driving a Peugeot 208 so anything is going to be an improvement!

Both cars technically fit our parking spot, but we will have less confident drivers (my mom) parking it from time to time, so we don't want to go too big.

Anyone have any feedback about these cars with car seats, driving them in Europe or have any other cars we should really be considering (that are available in France, for example the Corolla isn't available in France as is)?

Hey guys, I have a 2026 Creta King Edition and the company given headlights are honestly pretty bad on highways. Whenever an oncoming car has bright LEDs/high beams, I can barely see the road.
Thinking of installing AUX lights as I mostly travel on highways very frequently. Which ones are the best for highway rides? Any recommendations from people who’ve already installed them on a Creta?
