Senior, can you plz help about the placements statistics, college life, coding culture, work load, etc
How hard you need to work to get 8+ cgpa, it's is like last month studying or do you need to focus whole year etc

Seniors,How is the EEE branch here? Placement stats and curriculum wise is it too heavy? Side by side how flexible it is to continue coding? And how's the coding culture and overall college life here?

We had filed rti asking the clarification regarding the lateral exit rules changes (pfa).
These corrupt money hungry people chose to keep silence where they are legally obliged to share that information.
Also, filed the first appeal but it seems they are all of institute and chose to be numb.
It's about our future now. When we took the admission these rules werent there. This time also as per our information only 5 students were given lateral exit from integrated post graduate in master and integrated post graduate in mba.
This is completely unacceptable now. We should definitely raise our voices. This is completely unethical.
This shows the amount of corruption and what this director is doing.
These all admin and various senate profs are money humgry, ruthless, heartless people.

Why the CPIO's Rejection is Legally Weak
Under the RTI Act, 2005, a public authority can only deny information if it falls under the specific exemptions listed in Section 8(1) or Section 9. There is no exemption in the Act for "internal senate agendas are confidential." If a CPIO denies information, they are legally mandated to explicitly cite which specific sub-section of Section 8(1) applies and justify how it applies.
The definition of "information" under Section 2(f) explicitly includes records, documents, memos, emails, opinions, advices, and data material held in electronic form. File notings and financial calculations used to justify a policy shift (like the lateral exit scheme) involve institutional decision-making and public/institute funds. They do not qualify as commercial secrets or personal data.
Because the Senate minutes explicitly claimed the policy change was due to a "huge financial loss to the institute," you have a right to see the data backing that claim. Under Section 8(2) of the RTI Act, even if information is deemed confidential, it must be disclosed if the larger public interest (such as the welfare of students and transparency of public institutional funding) outweighs the harm to the institution.
Seniors please we have to do something and dont be like nominal indian citizen who always watches for the crimes to occur.
i have jee mains crl 135xx , and as of rn the options in terms of mnc/mnsc are nit hamirpur, nit jalandar and iiitmg .
how much difference does the 'S' in MnSC make in terms of curriculum and placements ?, as ive always been very interested in mathematics will likely take either MnC/MnSC , but still couldn't grasp how much difference it makes .
also how is the mnsc degree at iiitmg? as tht seems like the one ill go for , ik the placements have not happened for the first branch yet , but in terms of opportunities and similarities to mnc, how is it?

Career Development and Placement Cell is an extended activity of the Institute without any Government Funding support. The Career Development and Placement Cell is run by students on volunteering basis under the guidance of Faculty Coordinator. So the Information sought used to get updated on Institute Website from time to time as deemed fit. Please visit us at www.iiitm.ac.in.

(Gen Male here) I am getting IIITM Gwalior MnC/IT.......Now, I can arrange the Jossa fees. However, I would need edu loan for the entire degree...My parents CIBIL is very low(550ish) and family income is 15k only..
So will loan be a big issue? I dont mind higher interests etc but the goddman loan itself, will i be able to get it? Is there anything such as alumini fund/scholarships?
I saw the Shraman Scholarships, but they are cover just a small part.....
