SIPs Compound!

I started investing in mutual funds in 2014, with an SIP of ₹10k/month split between a large-cap and a mid-cap fund.
I’ve mostly been a passive investor. I don’t have the time or inclination to pick individual stocks, and I’ve never deployed a lump sum. Whenever I had money to invest, I preferred increasing/continuing SIPs rather than trying to figure out whether the market was high or low.
Looking back, I think the biggest favour I did to myself was minimising my drawdowns and, more importantly, staying invested.
I’ve had to go through two periods of drawdown. I’ve also gone through a period where I had no salary for 12 months. Fortunately, I had some liquid savings from a small ESOP buyback, so I could keep my investments going.

Note: My lifetime XIRR is 14.97%. The XIRR shown in the screenshot reflects the current XIRR of my active funds.

Adding some details based on Comment FAQs

2026→ ₹85k/month

2. Allocation by Fund Type

Large Cap - 48%

Midcap (best performing) - 40%

Small Cap - 12%

3. Funds in which I continue my SIPs

HDFC Mid Cap (investing since 2014)

ICICI Pru Large Cap (investing since 2014)

Invesco Large & Mid Cap

Also hold small positions in funds like HSBC Small Cap in which I paused SIPs but never sold

P.S - Past returns don't guarantee future returns. If you're starting now, there would be much better funds available out there. Please research.

Indian investor new to US markets — CSPX(or VOO) vs CNDX(or QQQ) vs SMH?

I’ve been investing in the Indian market for few years, but I’m new to US investing. I plan to invest ₹2–3 lakh over the next 3–4 months with a 10+ year horizon.

Considering CSPX, CNDX, SMH or US equivalents like VOO/QQQM. Open to other ETF suggestions.

My concern is timing — the US market looks expensive, with ongoing AI/tech valuation and correction concerns.

What would you do?

* Invest now/DCA over 3–4 months, or wait for a correction?

* CSPX vs CNDX vs SMH, or a combination or anything else?

* UCITS vs US-listed ETFs for an Indian investor?

* Is monthly SIP/DCA practical, or do brokerage + FX + other charges make small regular investments inefficient?

* How would you deploy ₹2–3 lakh?

Not looking for a market prediction — I’d appreciate perspectives from experienced US investors on how they’d approach this today.

Can India's private space industry ever outgrow ISRO?

For decades, ISRO has been the backbone of India's space ecosystem.

It has built the infrastructure, trained the talent, and created many of the opportunities that today's private space companies are benefiting from.

As India's space sector opens up, more startups, private companies, and educational institutions are entering the industry.

But it made me wonder...

Even if these organizations are independent on paper, how independent are they really if they still rely on ISRO for technology, testing facilities, launch infrastructure, collaborations, or even talent?

It's a bit like a startup that spins out of a large company. It may have a different name, different management, and different investors, but its success is still closely tied to the ecosystem that created it.

Do you think building an ecosystem is more valuable than building a single successful company?
