I’m looking at CSPX/VOO, CNDX/QQQM and SMH, but I’m open to other ETFs too.

My main confusion is whether this is a good time to start. The US market looks quite expensive right now and there are a lot of concerns about AI/tech valuations and a possible correction.

If you were in my position, would you start investing now and spread it over 3–4 months, or wait for a correction? And which ETFs would you personally pick?

Also, for someone investing from India, is UCITS generally preferable to US-listed ETFs? And does doing a monthly SIP/DCA make sense, or do FX, brokerage and other charges make small purchases inefficient?

Bought INFY: ~₹1,700 | Buyback: ₹1,800 | Net Gain: ~₹100/share

The Issue: AIS shows the entire ₹40k payout as Dividend, triggering 30% slab tax (~₹12k) on my actual capital principal.

The Loss: My purchase cost (~₹37.4k) becomes a Capital Loss, but since my LTCG this year is under ₹1.25L, setting it off gives ₹0 tax relief.

The Absurdity: Paying ~₹12k in tax on an actual net profit of just ~₹2,200 feels like an absurd tax penalty on principal capital.

Help Needed :

Is there any legal workaround/deduction against this dividend income to lower the tax?

How are CAs and investors handling this—are we just forced to eat this tax hit?

Hi,

My friend used by FK Axis Card to buy Ather Rizta Z (top model). It was a steal deal, around 20-25k cheaper from Store price.

But I got this email today that seller has cancelled. And I am unable to contact Flipkart as it seems they have removed customer care number, and ChatUs section is of no use.

I called up Dealer, they said it a problem from Flipkart side and they did not cancel it.

What to do next? As now no more stocks anywhere in Flipkart/Amazon.

Anyone else faced same issue??

Is 5k extra worth for extended warranty?

I will use for going to office 2 days/week plus some grocery shopping.

At the end of 8 years I can never cover 80k kms, so will the battery ever go less than 70% ?
