Empties MUST REPURCHASE

Can't even begin to say how much I like these 2.

Ordinary glycolic acid needs NO INTRODUCTION NO REVIEW. Everyone knows what it is, how it works. HOW LOOOONG IT LASTS.

Tree hut vanilla sugar scrub - Had been eyeing this for a long time. It's 1400 for 500g so naturally couldn't afford it.

Bought this one from declutters club in reddit itself. It costed me 870 including shipping.

MAMAMIA !!! IT IS THE BEST BODY CARE I HAVE EVER USED. And yes I've used Dove body scrub(good too,but ain't like this brother)

It's a very very good scrub, you can see the dirty slowly melting down. Scrubs usually make skin quite dry. The sugar granules in this scrub slowly melt into this beautiful oil. It always felt therapeutic, hydrating and smells like a literal cookie. People have always thought I use Plum vanilla vibes. No it's just this scrub. So go ahead get yourself a tree hut.

Best Blush Ever (Lmk similar shades recs)

I have very warm olive skin-tone and yet muted or warm blushes look awful on me. This is warm leaning too but since it is PINK, It works!
Reds or browns (warm) never work for me. This blush is not too sheer, neither too pigmented. It isn’t too waxy. I love it so much.
Took me more than a couple of years to finish it, and I wear it at least 15-20 days of a month.

Dior Backstage rosy glow blush

This accidental buy changed a few things for me.

It made me realise I have a neutral undertone (previously thought I was warm) and I've been rocking cool tones now.

It was also my first buildable product. I used to get highly pigmented blushes before, as I always thought more pigment is better. But this gives me more control and I've realised I prefer it this way instead.

It's so subtle and natural. I've received so many compliments on it.

This blush is in shade 001 Pink.

Skincare empties- July

Recent skincare empties and their mini reviews:

(Skin type: Oily/combination, dehydrated skin that tends to get very sweaty in tropical weather)

CosRX AHA BHA Clarifying Toner: I got this last year as an impulse purchase, it worked fine. Hydrated my skin, but the percentage of AHA and BHA is like, minimal, so I don't really know if it did anything by way of exfoliation.

WNRP

BOJ Relief Sunscreen (Aqua Fresh): Great formulation— I love how liquidy it is and how quickly it gets absorbed into my skin. You get a pretty decent amount of protection if you don't sweat a lot. Unfortunately, I live in a humid area and I sweat a lot— and this sunscreen is neither water resistant nor sweat resistant (I didn't know this when I purchased it). Therefore I will not be buying it again.

WNRP

Plum 5% Niacinamide Serum- Bought it after a friend recommended it to me. It was okay, didn't break me out ...but then again it didn't do much for my skin either. I don't think I'll be using Niacinamide again, and I am considering switching to a different active.

WNRP.

First post, Jan-Aug empties

First time posting~ all the skincare, haircare empties from Jan till now. Started my skincare journey in dec last year and this is all I've panned

For context, my skin type: oily acne prone in summers and combination acne prone in winters

Products in picture:

Toners: 1. Plum Bulgarian rosewater- WNRP did absolutely nothing I just hate panned it because no one used it in the house the pump wasn't dispensinh properly too after a while😭

  1. Plum cerasense mini and full size- WRP (already repurchased for the winter) winter season made my skin feel so dry, got the mini as a freebie so when I tried it on skin it worked well so bought the full size and it definitely felt more lightweight and hydrating in my PM routine but only better for the winter months, summertime it did get just a tad bit heavier.

  2. Plum niacinamide toner mini- MRP (already repurchased and using) again got the mini as a freebie and emptied within a week and half, at the time it controlled my oily t-zone lot more so bought the full size and currently using it, but somehow it is not working the same? Dunno something feels off.

  3. Isntree green tea toner mini- WRP worked quite well imo, honestly had way better oil control have no breakouts, but does have that medicinal green tea-ish smell, thinking about switching to this when I'm done with the plum niacinamide toner.

Serums: 1. Plum 5% niacinamide- MRP (already repurchased and using currently) my first niacinamide serum as a beginner and between minimalist and plum i chose this and kinda stuck with it. It's not watery thin and runny, but is not very thick either, idek if this worked at the beginning but wasn't ready to immediately jump to higher concentrations so ended up emptying 2 bottles and currently on the 3rd. Oiliness hasn't been controlled and I'm blind to the changes in any brightness or pigmentation changes. I tried 10% plum niacinamide too but it felt to heavy to use during Summers so stashed it away for winter use. Should I try minimalist 5% or the phd 10% next?

  1. Pilgrim 10% niacinamide mini- WNRP got this from smytten trial and i bought this after plum's this was okay~ not as watery as I thought it'd be and has this weird smell too. Product was again too little to tell a difference. But definitely didn't give any breaouts or stinging.

Moisturizers: 1. Bioderma sebium hydra gel creme- WNRP thank god for smytten trials because I planned on buying this expensive full size without trying for my oily acne prone skin and well. This doesn't work. I know a 5ml product can hardly show results but I was able to use it for a week. The smell is so? Cucumber-y? The gel was so generic.

  1. Wishcare barrier bounce- WNRP another smytten trial, there was not enough product only to use, just one pump and done, but it definitely felt way heavier on my skin particularly.

  2. Ponds superlight gel- MRP (already repurchased and currently using) had been using this for 2 years almost and emptied 2 jars previously but started feeling like it wasn't enough during winters, since skin was feeling dry and tight, so decided to try something else and bought it again now but something has changed in the ingredients I think, it's not hitting the same :/ I've just stocked this one for backup now

  3. Garnier vit c sorbet gel- WNRP idk I got influenced and tried this instead of repurchasing ponds superlight for the summers and I don't regret the purchase honestly? Like the texture is great it was very matte finish and light on skin perfect for summer but.. it didn't do anything? Very strong smell also. Mostly I would not repurchase for the price and the results it gave(rather didn't give)

  4. Plum niacinamide gel creme- WRP bought this 25ml jar during winters to solve the dryness problem and it definitely worked. Then proceeded to buy the full size and between summers it started getting heavier on skin so I've stashed it away and will continue using when winters comes around again. I'm comparison to price and results, i would rather pay money to this than garnier and now sadly ponds too.

Sunscreens: 1. Dermaco 1% hyaluronic aqua gel- WNRP got this as a freebie last year, felt so so plasticky I couldn't even bear to put on my face after first use, hate panned it to use on arms instead.

  1. Wishcare oil balance fluid sunscreen- WNRP another hate pan, bought this from smytten, the texture is so thin and runny which should have been equally light on skin too right? But nope, it just had this weird smell and when it sat on my face I felt it making me look greyer and duller than normal, not plasticky like dermaco but equally weird oily feeling on face.

  2. Deconstruct sunscreen- WRP (already repurchased and using currently) my first proper sunscreen for face exclusively, needed something matte and non stinging to eye so tried this at first, loved it, though it made me sweat and everything, I felt thsi was most comfortable, no CCs or breakouts. Currently on my third tube and yes maybe there are better products with better protection and finish out there, my brain has decided to go for this one for now😮‍💨

This became too long a post I think, will answer haircare bodycare in comments if anyone asks. Hope this helped someone out there! Please let me know if there's a way to send these empties out to recycling or similar organisations 🛐

July empty

Oily, acne-prone skin living in a humid climate 🌧️

1. Body Lotion
Absolutely loved this one! Especially after a workout—it really helps with body soreness and feels so relaxing at night. After applying it, I sleep like a baby. 🥹

2. Acne Moisturizer
My holy grail moisturizer! I always come back to this one, even after trying other moisturizers. This is probably my 10th or 12th tube, and I genuinely can’t stay away from it. 😂

3. Bioderma
Works really well for my oily, acne-prone skin, but it feels a little sticky in hot and humid/monsoon weather. Otherwise, I really like it.

4. Asaya Aventon Body Mist
This was my second bottle, but unfortunately, I didn’t notice any difference even after using it consistently. So, I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing it.

Body care edition

  1. Lux body wash Magical Orchid: ♥️ ♾️

  2. Moroccan oil Shower Gel in Ambre Noir: ♥️♾️ If you are a fan of Amber scents. Please try this. Pricey but worth it. Smell is unique for a body wash as not many body washes are amber based. The scent hugs you around while taking a shower. I have already ordered a second bottle. So underrated.

  3. Dove Scrub in Brown Sugar and Coconut butter: ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️. Non abrasive and gentle on skin. Smells heavenly. I have used it in another variant. This one is a little bigger sized tub. I ordered it from Amazon (It’s imported and it was a little pricey). Do try it if you have the budget.

  4. Palmolive Aroma Relax with Ylang Ylang: Rich and luxurious smelling body wash in a budget. Do do try this. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♾️

  5. Cera Ve Moisturising lotion: My second bottle. Beautifully does the job. Moisturises well. Non scented and non irritant. Perfect fot sensitive skin. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

A panned Vaseline Rosy Lips and its chocolatey replacement

This was my second tub of Vaseline Rosy Lips. I've used the Poland version before and actually liked that one better. This is the Indian version and was thicker but less hydrating. Despite the size, it took me 8 whole months to pan this one.

Dot and key dragonfruit sunscreen 💗✨

Dot & Key Dragon Fruit Bounce Sunscreen - an underrated affordable sunscreen imo

I’ve finally finished my first 50g tube of the Dot & Key Dragon Fruit Bounce Sunscreen, so I thought I’d review it before opening the second one.

For context, I have combination, acne-prone skin and I’m a teenager, so I’m definitely not in the “₹1000 sunscreen every month” demographic 😭. I was looking for something affordable that I wouldn’t have to gamble with because my skin can get clogged/break out pretty easily. I picked this up around June because it was a newer launch and the texture/UV filter situation sounded promising.

The texture is genuinely the best part. It’s a very fluid, watery sunscreen that spreads ridiculously easily and absorbs pretty quickly. No white cast on me, no pilling, no weird tacky layer sitting on top of my skin. It leaves a hydrated/glowy finish, but not the kind of glow where you look like you’ve applied cooking oil to your forehead 💀.

My T-zone does get oily after a while, especially my forehead and nose, but I just set those areas lightly with powder and I’m good.

I’ve also had zero issues with it breaking me out. No new acne, clogged pores, closed comedones or irritation from it, which is honestly a pretty big deal for me. My skin feels comfortable and moisturised after applying it rather than dry or suffocated.

It also works really nicely under makeup. I haven’t done any elaborate makeup tests with it, but with concealer/blush etc. it gives a smoother base and I haven’t had problems with my makeup separating or pilling.

I’ve worn it regularly for coaching, including being outside around midday and dealing with July humidity. My skin naturally gets red after being in the sun, so obviously this isn’t some magical “no redness whatsoever” shield, but I haven’t noticed any significant tanning while using it. That said, I wouldn’t pretend I’ve done some rigorous sunscreen testing- I mostly consider this my everyday sunscreen, not the one I’d choose for an entire day at the beach or some extreme sun exposure.

I’m also admittedly terrible at reapplying 😭. On coaching days I’m usually out from around 7 AM-1 PM, and rather than reapplying while I’m outside, I’ll wash my face when I get home around 2 and apply it again. So if you’re someone who reapplies properly throughout the day, your experience may obviously be different.

Things I liked:

- Extremely lightweight, fluid texture

- Blends in super easily

- No white cast on me

- Hydrated/glowy but not excessively greasy

- Doesn’t pill

- Doesn’t sting my eyes when I sweat

- Works well under makeup

- Didn’t clog my pores or break me out

- Comfortable even in humid weather

- Cute packaging because apparently that matters to me too 💀

One minor thing: it has a slightly chemical-ish smell when you first apply it. It fades pretty quickly though, and I barely notice it anymore.

The tube lasted me roughly two months, despite using it twice a day, and I paid around ₹450. Considering that, I think the price-to-quantity ratio is pretty reasonable. The only packaging annoyance is that because the sunscreen is so fluid, it comes out VERY quickly if you’re not careful.

For comparison, I’ve also tried the Fixderma Shadow SPF 50+ Gel and the Plum Rice Water & Niacinamide sunscreen. Fixderma didn’t convince me enough to repurchase, while the Plum one felt much heavier on my skin. This one has been much more comfortable for me.

Would I repurchase?

Already did lol.

I’d especially recommend giving it a look if you have acne-prone/combination skin, hate heavy or sticky sunscreens, and are working with a relatively tight budget. I can see it being a bit too lightweight for someone with very dry skin, though.

Overall, this is one of those products where I genuinely don’t understand why I barely see anyone talking about it. 😭

Affordable + lightweight + acne-prone-skin friendly + actually pleasant to wear = I’m sold.

Mwah 💋

Peripera water bare tint was loved well!

Peripera water bare tint in chat cool pt. I loved the colour. It was a true purple. I reapply my balms and tints like 4 times. But I reached so much for this one even when the stain was still there on my lips. It was so lovely, light weight, cooling. Loved it thoroughly. 10/10. WRP.
