101 scout
Hello everyone so I have a couple questions:
would the 101 be good as a first bike for someone who isn’t looking to stupid with it. I’ve always wanted a bike and I’m now in a pretty good position to get one and I’ve seen that it’s a pretty good balance between sporty and cruising
is being 6ft too big? I went and sat on it the other day and it felt comfortable but I wanted to get some thoughts from others who have more experience than me
Thank you

Just sharing some cool photos my buddy took of my new Super Scout 🤘
From Aprilia to Indian
Since I started riding 22 years ago I've had many bikes. Started on a 500cc sport bike and transitioned to various naked bikes. Hell, I'll admit to even having a problem, buying bikes, only to sell them less than a year later. Last July I purchased a 24 Aprilia Tuono V4 leftover for a great price. It was without a doubt a beast of a bike, crazy power and an intoxicating V4 sound, but I didn't love it. Since I don't race, I found it relatively useless for my case, being a shoddy commuter. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, browsing an Indian dealer and always kinda loving their looks, I noticed a 101 Scout. A cruiser with the chops of a naked bike I'm used to. Dual front brembos and a fully adjustable suspension, not to mention crazy good looks. After sitting on it and watching far too many Youtube videos, I decided this should be my next ride. Found a great deal on a 25 leftover and pulled the trigger. Long story short, my first cruiser experience has been a great one, and I look forward to hopping on this bad boy every chance I get.
Thinking about my first bike. Looking for thoughts.
I just passed my California Motorcyclist Safety Course. I must admit though, the slow speed weave is not my strong skill. Everything else I felt confident in though. I've ridden dirt bikes in the past and used to borrow my friend's Ninja 250 to ride around town occasionally, so I'm not completely new to bikes, but not so familiar with bigger, heavier ones. I wasn't a fan of the course bike, little rebel 300, I felt like a gorilla on a tricycle.

I'm 6'2" and around 205, long legs and arms. I want a cruiser. I like the Scout bobber a lot and I realize I'll probably need to tweak the bars, shocks, and seat to better fit me. It seems like most bikes will need some tweaking for my height though. I'm leaning heavy towards a Scout Bobber, but I'm looking for thoughts from owners. Thanks!
Any suggestions on a good throttle lock?
My arthritis in my hands is raging and looking for a good throttle lock for longer trips.
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks!
