Recurring Fear of Blades

I'm aiming to get alot of my trauma off my chest and put pen to paper, so I'll be aiming to share a lot of these over the coming days and weeks. Please share your own as you are comfortable to do so.

A minor issue (relative to everything else) I've run into is a recurring fear of blades, knives- any sharp edges. This carries over into other aspects of my life, frequently interrupted my already erratic train of thought.

I find myself having recurring nightmares of being cut or otherwise mutilated in some other way. I've had vivid, lucid dreams that I was a newborn being circumcised, without anesthetic and fully aware/awake. I've had dreams I was the man who went the hospital with a broken leg and woke up circumcised due to medical arrogance and incompetence.

I find myself imagining, and vividly fearing, increasingly, wildly, unlikely events. The office I work at is getting renovated, and there were tradies on the floor beneath me using power tools of all sorts. Power tools are part of my line of work, this is not a sound I'm unfamiliar with. But as they were directly underneath me I heard them cutting into the walls and dividers, and all I could imagine was through some freak accident them cutting through the floor and slicing my genitals. It's insanely irrational, it would take a literally impossible Final Destination-esque rube goldberg machine of events to even make that possible. And yet it was all I could think about for hours. The fear consumes me.

I'm terrible in the kitchen, I take an hour to dice vegetables that would take an average person less than 5 minutes. Knives make me sweat and I absolutely despise handling them or being near them. I shave every day in the shower, and every day in the shower I spend the entire time warily eyeing my razor to make sure it doesn't fall and slice me. One time it nearly did.

So many things trigger this fear and all I can think of is threats to what little tatters remain of my genital autonomy. I'm fiercely protective of what little foreskin I have left/have restored, and I'm incredibly frustrated that this has added just one more area in which I cant function like a normal human being.

It truly has a Freudian aspect to it. I am convinced the Danish research linking autism and circumcision has merit. The psychological impacts of this barbaric practice on day old infants is utterly profound, and the practice will probably die out before we ever truly manage to map out just how wide-reaching the mental damage it causes is.

I didn’t realize just how many Americans are circumcised

I’m from Miami, though. A part of the US that’s heavily Hispanic/latino. Just about every guy is uncut there. It wasn’t until I moved to the Northeast and started dating around did I notice just how prevalent circumcision is. I don’t have a preference and it’s not weird to me. But the practice certainly is. Why is genital mutilation so normalized? Infants cannot consent. They should leave it up to the person when they become an adult.

Porn Is Bad But They Will NEVER Talk About Circumcision

Anyone else notice this? They blame everything on porn and masterbuation but NEVER the ACTUAL problem.

I'm mad that men have not woken up to this yet. The circumcised men, that is. Intact men just live life normally and don't have sexual problems. Their free, but we aren't.

So many problems,

"Erectile Dysfunction"

"Premature Ejaculation"

"Lack of visual feedback from the male (moaning, convulsing etc)"

"Insert literally 100 other problems here"

and yet not ONCE have I seen it attributed by circumcision.

HEY, NUMBNUTS, IT AFFECTS BOTH PARTIES IN AN EXTREMELY NEGATIVE LIGHT!

That's not to bodyshame us cut men, but holy hell does it get tiring seeing the same blame on porn as if it it's the end all be all.

Circumcision is literally the answer. That's why you don't have good sex both from a female and male perspective. That's why you don't *feel* like you are having an orgasm even though your dick is out. That's why sex in general, fucking sucks just like masterbuation.

Study ranks “intimacy/making love” as the single highest source of momentary happiness at 14.20 - far above socializing, exercise, or anything else

Circumcision permanently blunts that peak for us.

This table measures average happiness while people are doing common activities (not long-term life meaning).

(Bryson & MacKerron, 2017)

Among all the things people actually spend time doing, intimacy/making love sits alone at the top with a coefficient of 14.20. Exercise lands around 8.12. Talking, chatting, socializing is 6.38. Everything else trails further behind. Nothing else comes close to the intensity of that peak. Sex isn’t “just one part of life.” According to the data on what people feel in the moment, it is the single strongest source of experienced happiness people ever get. For many of us, though, that peak is strongly diminished. Some men are left with a more severe circumcision that took huge portions of the frenulum and left only tight, scarred skin behind.

When some inactivists shrug and say “there’s more to life than sex” or dismiss the whole thing as no big deal, they are not really understanding what was denied from us. They’re minimizing a permanent loss of sensation and function that many of us still feel every day, and in doing so they only deepen the isolation for those of us who refuse to pretend the damage never happened.

Circumcised men need to stop treating this like a gentle-parenting debate and start taking the permanent harm seriously. We need to outlaw it now, the same way FGM is banned, and put our energy behind the intactivist organizations that refuse any compromise and demand a complete end to the practice.

Wouldn't you think that infant circumcision be decided by the golden rule?

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you

-us millions of men should be granted the right to have their parent's genitals excised when they turn the age of 18 if they so wish!

-and why stop there! also, everyone at the hospital who shares in the blame for cutting into infants genitals.

Cut guy with mental illness LARPs first as an intact man, and months later as a happily cut guy who stopped restoring. This is what being cut pushes people to. Delusion.

"Circumcision Is Bad, But Not THAT Bad!!!"

A frequent response I was given on my old user was that I was heavily exaggerating the effect's of circumcision. I was told that I was being too hyperbolic and redundant in my answer's and questions.

But, am I?

Is the global, mass, and allowed child raping an "exaggerated" issue? Is the societal gaslighting and inducement of this child rape a "redundant" problem? Is the double standard, backhanded, RIDICULOUS allowance of male circumcision but adament denial of female circumcision "that bad" to you?

Notice how everything I just said was not only a response to the above, but objective fact. Not an opinion, not an article. These are known, and proven, facts by American's and cultures alike. That's because circumcision is TRULY, a black and white situation. You're either on the side of the child cutting pedophile's or you're not. It's that fucking simple people!

Justice, as I hear many talk about here, is a concept that is used adamently in Intactivism and alike. It's used to try and "punish" the cutters by force without remorse. But I never see these people called out. The ones who try and slime their way out of responsibility and salvation. The ones who think that simply saying "it's bad" is fine and dandy enough. They are just as big of a problem as the intact men and women who say otherwise. The ones who demean us and the ones who allow us are not too different after all.

We should be stricter, yes. That much is certain. We must be stricter in those so called "Intactivist" movement. The allowance of any other opinion or "side" is exactly why the movement has failed thus far. Use bigger words. Get more anger in your speech. Allow yourself to be furious and depressed at the same time. Feel, think, and act.

An interesting thread on X where a lot of French speakers came out in firm defense of circumcision

There is an interesting thread about FGM vs. Circumcision, which got started because some more billboards raising awareness about FGM (Excision) have been going up in France.

https://x.com/LegateCorvus/status/2087234816714375223

Naturally, since this is the ONLY time that polite society will ever discuss genital mutilation, someone brought up the comparably much more common practice of male circumcision.

Now, I've been told that circumcision is firmly opposed and reviled in Europe, but what I'm seeing is more like a combination of apathy, acceptance, and even respect.

Is it really just demographics?
Some of those involved claim to be atheists. The arguments used are also firmly focused on hygiene and health, not religious or cultural obligation...

>"Reassure me, you didn't just compare an instrument of torture used to prevent sexual intercourse with circumcision, whose benefits are so widely recognized that it's practiced by atheists because it's more hygienic, benign, and painless for the little one*."*

I don't know if they actually believe this nonsense, but I know that this little setup where FGM and circumcision are made into "polar opposites" keeps coming up for a reason, it serves very well the political cause of advocating against FGM, and so we will keep seeing it.

>"Uh... no, not really. Removing a foreskin is a relatively benign mutilation.."

>"Except that one of them (circumcision) has a use: pleasure/hygiene/medicinal without real consequences"

>"It is a hygienic practice and/or necessary depending on the case. Nothing comparable to excision."

None of these comments appear to belong to followers of Islam or recent arrivals.
You must remember that the image of circumcision has been carefully sanitized in recent times, with its proponents medicalizing it to obscure cultural and religious obligations, and perhaps we are seeing the fruits of that.

>"tu fais un peu du whataboutism là"

>"le whataboutism est tellement mal"

Well, there's some of that American cultural impact for you!

Okay, now let's be real for a second, and take a look at why Europe does not have to deal with circumcision.

  1. There was never a WW1/WW2 military tradition of forcing (some) conscripts through circumcision, men who would later be vulnerable to arguments about neonatal circumcision being easier than adult circumcision.
  2. The medical establishment simply refused to offer the option of routine infant circumcision to new parents.

I've never seen any evidence that Europeans have some kind of natural aversion to circumcision, after all they do not hesitate to circumcise little boys for phimosis and treat the matter with about as much gravity as pulling a loose tooth.

Let's add all the foreskin pathologization that's gone down in Europe with the relentless and abusive forced retraction of boys, which went on for a century and still goes on even to this day in places like Central/Eastern Europe, where pediatric advice is still lagging behind.

What the hell is so special about European parents exactly?

They are perfectly willing to hurt their little boys so long as a person in a lab coat gave the order, just like every other parent.

The person in the lab coat gives the order to start retracting little boys even if they cry and fight it, the parents start, the person in the lab coat gives the order to stop, the parents stop. Simple as.

The only reason why most Europeans have been spared circumcision is that their medical establishments held fast during a pivotal time period from the 1930s to the 1960s, when circumcision was aggressively promoted around the world, and continental Europe only just barely eked out a win on this matter.

My dad is circumcised and he didn’t make the same mistake with me

Pretty much just the title; it’s awful when u see men who have been circumcised talk about cutting their own sons because it’s “what’s normal” for them. Seeing my dad naked I would ask questions about why we looked different, and since then he’s been vocal to me about how he resented his parents circumcising him and was steadfast in not letting me get cut. Very grateful for him.

Intactivists should be vegan

It is extremely hypocritical to say doctors who cut babies should be jailed but people who debeak chickens should not be punished. It’s extremely hypocritical to say men cut as baby boys deserve reparations but chickens mutilated by men with permission from the state don’t deserve reparations in the form of government funded vegan animal sanctuaries. in the United States almost all non vegans have or will cause extra animals to be mutilated with their purchases

If an animal is living a mostly bad life, suffering massively in a factory farm and experiencing little wellbeing then it’s wrong to breed them into existence.

If an animal is living a mostly good life, perhaps on a pasture then it’s wrong to cut their mostly good life short by executing them when they’re a healthy teenager.

Why take a utilitarian / hedonistic view of “non humans” but take an inalienable rights view towards “humans” ?

An individual consumer choosing to purchase or boycott animal products is personally responsible for extra chicks being killed or spared. If you are not vegan you are personally causing this to happen to more animals here’s proof

https://philarchive.org/rec/MCMAIO

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=brKhhZlUoOc (Only first few minutes of this video are relevant)

https://benthams.substack.com/p/the-causal-inefficacy-objection-is

And the comments and back and forth of this for any objections you may have to the efficacy of individual boycott of real meat which have already been debunked https://www.reddit.com/r/DebateAVegan/comments/1otuhqv/individual_boycott_of_meat_does_matter/

The case for this is simple, infant circumcision is bad almost solely due to the fact it causes suffering and prevents/reduces future feelings of wellbeing/pleasure and this is also true of debeaking based on many studies done on debeaking.
Also

The Cambridge declaration of consciousness and New York update to it totally agree with me

all those Cognitive neuroscientists, neuroanatomists, neurophysiologists, neuropharmacologists, computational neuroscientists, ethologists, behavioral biologists, theoretical physicists, philosophers, comparative psychologists, evolutionary biologists, neurologists, animal welfare scientists, legal scholars, professors of law, public law and human rights lecturers, computer scientists, veterinary professors, environmental studies scholars, chemical and biological engineers, linguists, and chief executive officers

Agree that all birds and mammals have a significant amount of consciousness
They can suffer a lot
They can also experience wellbeing
like me

Some will say “but I only believe in “human” rights, and chickens are not ”human””.

To this I have a few responses

Define human, for example thousands of years ago did two “non humans” give birth to a “human”? do you believe that “human” should have rights but not his or her parents? why? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wMxs0Q1TfFo https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sqFbQgVrg7s

If on another planet in another galaxy there was a different species of beings who looked and acted almost exactly like earth humans but they had very different DNA then earth humans and were a different species unable to produce viable offspring with earth humans would you say they deserve no rights? What if they were also unable to reason/ unintelligent and unable to breed with earthly humans do to different dna but otherwise just like earthly humans in all other ways such as appearance?

what is your response to name the trait? https://vnarek.github.io/name-the-trait

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrtziO8Ffc4

Animal rights are a logical extension of human rights

The hypocrisy / speciesism is when you treat a trait equalized animal significantly worse then a trait equalized human.

For example,

Giving lots of rights to a orphaned human being with Lissencephaly who will live less long, be less intelligent, be less conscious, be less capable of experiencing suffering and wellbeing, etc then a average healthy young adult pig. If you believe the human with Lissencephaly should receive millions in medical care, it should be illegal to do painful medical experiments on them to make new medications or cosmetics, it should be illegal to breed them for meat, etc but you believe the average healthy young adult pig should have no rights or protections from things like painful medical experiments on them to make new medications or cosmetics, breeding them for meat, etc then you are a speciesist. You are discriminating solely on the basis of species and nothing else. Not intelligence or potential for intelligence in the case of a healthy human baby. Solely species

But this leads to reductio ad absurdums.

It is extremely similar to feminists who support anti FGM laws while not supporting banning MGM, if you look at penal codes banning MGM they are Sexist as they discriminate solely based on genitalia type.

It also leads to reductios like I mentioned in my original post, if you discriminate solely on the basis of being “human” it requires you to define what a human is and can lead to absurdities like believing two non humans gave birth to a human and their parents deserve zero rights while their child should have the same rights as you and I.

Severity of anatomical loss and behavior of other "Intactivists"

In the United States, there are many men with a radical amount of their foreskin amputated in infancy.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were 50+ million men that were cut to a CI-2 and below with partial or full frenulum/frenular delta loss.

In case you didn't know, the entire inner foreskin, not even just the frenulum, can be stimulated alone to orgasm. It's so obviously part of the core sexual sensory tissue on a man's penis that it defies all reason how it could have even been seen differently. We should be looking at the surface area of the glans and the inner foreskin as similarly important in terms of sexual sensory sensation.

It's more than reasonable to be utterly distraught over this anatomical loss.

We are left with scars halfway down our shafts, a majority of the highly erogenous inner tissue amputated, all the mucosal membranes exposed, and a taut, immobile skin system. It's ghoulish and morbid how sexually disabling this reality is for many of us.

It's wildly unacceptable how even in these spaces we are being gaslit and diminished by other "Intactivists". We need to start coordinating and mobilizing around how to combat these people.

https://preview.redd.it/mbooopeyrrjh1.png?width=2031&format=png&auto=webp&s=695d688676f4e7c9d467d7491a515f9fab7e42ad

Foreskin amputation of children is an unfathomable atrocity and there are men who are going to suffer terribly their entire lives over this. These communities and the larger public better get used to us.

The publicly available video/photographic evidence that some Intactivists have witnessed paints a very grim picture of the degree of trauma that infants experience during this violent mutilation of their penis. In many instances, the victims of this were genitally mutilated with little to no local anesthetic and suffer for weeks afterward from early infancy penile trauma. For most men who were genitally mutilated as infants, this is the most traumatic and severe trauma of their lives happening during a critical time of physiological and neurological development.

This is radically severe sexual battery of a juvenile and all logic and reason would lead one to believe that this can result in a range of long term psychological and psychosexual consequences in many instances.

To the men that run their mouth in pain and suffering, I want you to know that I'll stand by your side to the final breath. I know this prison you're in. We can strive to heal but still be suffering in a devastating way.

The "intactivists" that trivialize and diminish you are outright unsympathetic fools that have no business being here.

I Knew I Never Had A Chance

I questioned the world when it told me relationships were a big part of life. It wasn't until years later that I finally found out why I felt that way.

I questioned why I should bother getting into relationships as a circumcised male. Truth be told, there isn't any reason. I don't even know why people get into relationships anyway. What a useless waste of time. It's even worse for circumcised male because we can't have sex properly when we are literally missing 99% of our sensation and the world fucking hates us for it. I truly don't know why anyone should even try.

And for that matter, what's the point of a relationship? Is it the sex? Are we going to be blunt? Are we going to be hedonistic? Or, are we going to try and say that somehow, a relationship makes your life feel better? A relationship doesn't fix you, you can't even fix yourself in that regard. Is it the false idea of "love"? Is that what binds us? Are we going to pretend that women and men experience love the same way? If so...

Too bad. Circumcision has destroyed every single one of those entirely. I don't get why circumcised men think a humping session for 30 minute's with dead air and no moaning is sex. I don't get why circumcised men think jacking off to porn is normal in any regard. I don't get why circumcised men think that love is the same for them as intact men.

Intact men are just the default now. People don't even think about the differences between a cut man and an intact male's sexual experiences. Probably because it's too brutal to talk about. Too depressing, too reality breaking. Nobody wants to face the reality of losing 99% of your sensation among the myriad of other problems.

That's my reality. And I face that everyday and everytime I post when the intact men and women come along.

I've never felt a desire to have sex or be sexual. I have never wanted a woman, man, gay or otherwise. I do not want these desires. Which is what I am doing a certain brand of "conversion" therapy to help me. I'm seeking out the therapists that may help me with this. That is how I cope now. That's how I function. I knew I never had a chance so I am rectifiying that chance. I am turning it into a new chance. A new event. A new horizon for me. A horizion where I can stop being sexual entirely.

If videos of MGM being performed were shown in sex Ed this would die so fast.

The amount of times I've heard people say "I supported circumcision until I saw a video of it being performed. I could never do that to my son" is crazy

There's also been MULTIPLE times where I've shown a friend or someone in my life a video of it being performed and they were so immediately against it after.

Of course, there's a lot of people who are just THAT ignorant, or simply don't care that they're torturing their son. But if more people saw the raw truth, things would change faster.

Do circumcising US Pediatric Doctors & Nurses spare their own sons?

Do the American pediatricians obstetricians, and nurses who routinely cut healthy foreskins off screaming newborn boys actually subject their own sons to the same procedure after they’ve watched it up close, day after day?
I heard both /u/cartersteinhoff & /u/adkisojk mention in some older podcasts that some physicians know the anatomy they’re removing isn’t “just a little skin.” But then other Intactivists I follow say the doctors truly don’t know and follow AAP guidelines and protocol (photo above of real Ped NP. For example, Dr. Andrew Freedman (a pediatric urologist at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles) has publicly stated that he circumcised his own son himself on his parents’ kitchen table on the eighth day for religious reasons, citing “3,000 years of ancestors looking over my shoulder.” Was it a clamp or just a quick Bris loose cut? I think some physicians know it’s densely innervated. Yet many of them still perform the cut for parents who request it, citing the 2012 AAP statement that “the health benefits of newborn male circumcision outweigh the risks.”
That same AAP statement carefully stops short of recommending routine circumcision for all boys.

If the clinicians who perform circumcisions truly believe the procedure is net beneficial after watching it, they should have no hesitation subjecting their own sons. I’m just trying to figure out if it’s “circumcision for thee, but not for me” or if this is unfounded conspiracy from John and others. Any help on this subject is appreciated and I’ve already donated to Intact America, and plan to continue.

"There's More To Life Then Sex And Your Foreskin"

And you would be correct.

Yes, there is more to life then my foreskin and sex. It's true. However...

I for one have recently been taking a liking to the whole MGTOW movement that is common with men's right's activists. I think going your own way and fighting your own battle's is far better then suffering alone with others who are supposed to care about you. I think love in the modern dead is dead as fuck. Worse then it's ever been, for men that is. Women on the other hand...let's not get into that topic right now.

I think what people mean when they say this is something along the line's of "hobbies and goals" which I can get behind. Setting a goal for yourself as a circumcised man can be a mulitude of things. I for one, think that arts and crafts can be a good venture for us. It's something that's away from other people. Art can't make fun of us, not the stuff we create. Kinda like nature. There both good forms of getting the fuck away from evil cutter's and society. I don't blame anyone for following this rhetoric. Do what you must to survive another day especially as a cut man.

Ever since I was young I never understood the point of a relationship. It just seemed so pointless. What's the point of it? And this was BEFORE I knew I was circumcised, so there's no issues with that here. Like, what, a few minutes of sex? That's really what people hurt eachother for? That's what people want in life? Just the most basic biological fallacy? People tell me all the time that relationships and friends are needed. I disagree. There is more to life then that, It's true. For men, that is. Like I said. It's a different story for women and everybody knows why. I abstain from this sexual nonsense and seek internal joy that comes from myself, not other's. That's how you can stay happy even after this.

Overall, this post may seem weird coming from me. But, I think it's actually kinda reassuring knowing I'm getting better by changing my perspective. People always deny the brainpower and mind over matter and I never understood why. Play the cards you're dealt, ever heard of that saying?

Ended up on MensLib and need to vent

Was recently looking deep into foreskin anatomy. I was Googling diagrams and stuff to try and learn all the parts of the intact penis. I really love dick and got this strong itch to learn the parts better. Something fun I would do is I would look at a lot of attractive men and their penises in solo videos or pics. I would then try to identify their respective parts (i.e. frenulum, ridged band, sulcus, etc.). Fun and hot for me haha 😆

I do have a tendency to go overboard and get addicted to watching porn excessively. I think it’s me trying to chase men in porn who are sexually superior to me (intact). Of course I’m never satisfied because I’m forever mutilated so it’s an endless chase. It’s funny because gym wise I’m actually larger than some (not all) of the dudes and when I first saw the same videos when I was younger, I thought they were huge and now they seem small! 😂 of course sadly the dick will always be better for them.

So I just decided to Google correlation between unhappiness with circumcision and porn addiction. I found a link to the MensLib page on Reddit regarding circumcision. While it did seem that the consensus is anti-MGM (they’d get pissed if you call it that 😒) there were so many comments saying how they frown upon calling it mutilation and how they can’t stand intactivists.

Some points…

  1. Why the hell do they say don’t compare “circumcision” to FGM?! They say the term “mutilation” is offensive to them and devalues them. So does the M in FGM demean the women who are victims of FGM. I don’t think it makes them lesser women or humans. Why use the term FGM then? Why don’t they use “female circumcision”? It’s a term I wouldn’t use myself. I like to use both FGM and MGM. It’s all different degrees of mutilation and it’s not a pissing contest. It all needs to be called what it is and outlawed.

  2. There was one person who said they were happy they were cut and that studies show it’s much better and that men are happy with it. One person comments that they are not happy with it and gets accused of presenting anecdotal evidence. So don’t go on there and say you’re unhappy with being mutilated. You’re just an anecdote. What about the recent study published earlier this year saying the obvious about how the male g-spot is essentially the frenulum and ridged band, the parts lost most with MGM? Not to mention the ultra-sensitive touch receptors on the inner foreskin (different types of corpuscles it seems) that are also lost. Then gaslighting people into saying it makes no difference.

  3. People on there get pissed when they feel like intactivists get too “intense” or don’t feel the way they do. Yeah well it’s pretty shitty to be gaslit that it’s not a big deal when your g-spot is partially (if lucky) or completely hacked off for nothing but pure quackery.

It’s weird how a subreddit named MensLib minimizes such a prevalent issue among men. If it’s not a big deal as they say then advocate for complete outlawing and let them decide for themselves when they’re older.

I’m restoring and that’s probably the only thing that keeps me slightly sane with all this. I know some of the parts I listed previously I won’t get back but at least when flaccid I sometimes have full coverage and it’s quite nice and empowering.

My orgasms when masturbating are definitely better and sometimes feel full body compared to before. Depending on my mood I’ll have a nice and long orgasm and slightly convulse and stretch a bit. Before I wouldn’t feel it this intensely.

But I can’t say that because then I’m just an anecdote. 🙄

why can we talk about circumcision in our own few small places here on reddit without being accused of antisemitism...

BUT any other sub and we will get accused of it?

Like, I am not allowed to speak of it outside of circgrief or intactivists or a few other niche subs. If I do then several people will go off on a rant about me hating on someone's religion. Even though I am circumcised because american doctors told my parents to do it despite them not being religious at all.

so somehow, me disliking having been tortured and traumatized with a drastically altered mind and body makes me a hater of little hat wearers?

I swear, I don't get it. Someone please explain it to me!

Keratinization of the glans: What it is, why it happens, and a comparison to that of intact glans.

Keratinization is the biological process where living squamous cells (keratinocytes) produce keratin, harden, lose their nucleus, and form a protective outer layer in tissues like skin, hair, and nails.

Keratinization of the penile glans is guaranteed after circumcision.

This causes dryness and loss of sensation.

When the penile glans are exposed 24/7, the friction causes the production of keratinocytes in order to protect the now vulnerable glans.

Normally, the foreskin would keep the glans protected. But when the foreskin is cut off, and the glans have no protection, this causes the glans to become more like regular skin. Rather than the sensitive, soft, and hydrated skin that penile glans are supposed to be like.
