i get confused easily but what is lestat'a band actually called?

because i thought that "the failures" was the band before lestat toke over? but on tik tok all the songs are under the name "the vampire lestat" and to me it would make more sense if rhey brought out a physical cd under the name "the vampire lestat " because then it would tie in with the actual tv show.

Marius is the Worst

I only read the first three books and I would hear other fans talk about how awful Marius was. I never disagreed with anyone, especially since he did allow Armand to believe he was dead when he wasn’t, but I also didn’t completely understand. But I finally started reading The Vampire Armand and all I can say is….i get it now.

am i alone in this? [tv show only]

i just don't get along with the sences with gabriella , i just don't get along with her and think that she is annoying and a bit pointless in those scenes and the whole danial interview bit and her having sex in the bathroom i found a bit unnecessary.

i am not hating in her or anything don't get me wrong , I just think some of the scenes were unnecessary to me.

am i the only one who thinks this?

also i am talking about the character not the person who play's her.

Armand

WHOEVER put this together DESERVES MAD PROPS!!! Cause Armand is ALOT, like he pushes me to a point of sheer anger.. Then I remember he was practically a child when he was turned hence his distain for child vampires and why he refused to make another vampire for 500 years..And I see edits like this and my heart breaks for that little orphaned boy who found himself rescued and safe in Marius walls. He allowed himself to trust and to love again and was given a beautiful gift and the was snatched from the only person who ever showed him love leaving him in his captors clutches believing his maker was dead..He resigned and accepted their fate..He searched for love again and again trying to attached himself to everything that didn’t want him…When you break it down it’s so tragic.. It really hit my heart in the final episode when Louis told Armand that Lestat was the love of his life. But that Louis heart hurts for Armand, that he deserves a love like what he and Lestat have, a love all encompassing and equal..He deserves happiness and needs to find peace on his own and not in someone..Only then will he be free to truly love someone the right way 🥺

Armand Question

How do you feel about Armand marking Louis and what it means to you ?

I think Louis being marked an A for adulteress is crazy because Armand didn’t mind the open relationship, was going to have him killed at the trial, lied about it for 77 years, hired a fake Claudia to torment him, put fake photos in his book to mess with his mind again, and has his head cut off lol Then he had the nerve to say that he doesn’t know if it was love our not 🤦🏽‍♀️ I know Louis is no angel but this was way over the top lol I see why Armand is called the gremlin lol After Louis apologized do you think he forgave him ? He lets him go but marks him and leaves. Then I remembered that Armand said Louis may not remember what happened. I think back to the first episode when they look at each other while bidding for Lestat’s items. I wonder if Louis remembers after all based on his face and Armand’s smirk/smile 😩

I’m still shocked at Daniel joining Armand when he hated him for turning him by force then disappearing for 2 years. Now Armand says he loves him 🤣 Do you think Armand even loved Louis in season 2 since he said that?

Ok rant and questions over lol

no wonder lestat is in love with louis.

he is so handsome but it would be funny if in the next series they walk in a cafe or something and a song by jabco is playing in the background and louis or lestat doesn't know who it is so lestat gets out his phone and shazem it and it comes up with jabco etc and falls for him so st some point he meets jabco in character etc.

lol.

its so clever how they picked the locations for the show.

they picked New Orleans for series 1 and 2 obviously for anne rice but also for the rich black community there (i think) and for the vampire's but also they picked it for the music and louis story-line.

i never been to New Orleans but it seems quite relaxed and jazz like and a place where you could go to a cafe and have a drink and sit outside and just people watch you know.

also i liked how louis went back there and went on a "tour" of the place where basically he lived as the show knew what it was abut and was like "yes a vampire had live here , now here is a tour" i found it funny.

like the show knows what it is and isn't afraid of making fun of its self.

because in the 1994 film louis is a white man who owns / is in the sl*ve (slave) business and obviously they changed that for the tv show because it in the tv show louis is black and it is not ok today to be in that kind of business also because Louisiana has a deep history of that kind of business and Louisiana was one or if not the main place where they filmed series 1 and 2.

also one of the gentleman clubs with lady's that louis and i think lastest set up together (i think I could be wrong on that) has a jazz singer and jazz paino in it.

i am wondering

why does magnus look like that in the vampire lestat tv show? , all of the other vampire's look normal and have normal teeth so why does magnus look not as normal and have what look like medal teeth or both pointly teeth.

its probably because he is very old but armand is really old and he doesn't look like something out of hell.

so was it a desgin choice? or is he simlier looking to a famous tv /film classic vampire.

he must smell bad.

i don't know if this will be the case but I just have a thought.

can loius feel lastest pain or emotions like a psychic connection or something seeing as lastest turned him or not?.

can louis feel something that lastest is feeling?.

Forgive me if this is already established as far as the new season of IWTV goes, but something that kinda dawned on me today.

Okay obviously I'm sure there's plenty of you who are fans of the music in the show. I'm talking about Lestat's music and his band specifically, but even during the promos for it when I heard the songs the first thing I thought was 'Wow, this is absolutely HORRENDOUS..', and it was just something I learned to enjoy with a sort of tongue in cheek vibe to it even if ultimately I thought the music was just completely god awful entirely.

I'm sure there's plenty of fans of that over the top glam rock hairband style he falls into for some strange reason, but I think on the whole it's a little insufferable and cheesy and just... cringe. The opening credits theme song is a good example.

Though it dawned on me earlier today why that is, and I think it was completely intetional.

Why do I think that? Well, specifically because of the plot point of how when Lestat decides to re-record the whole album after that dark night of the soul car crash etc when he sits down and writes that deep soulful silencing ballad then tries to let the rest of the band go because they just won't be able to go in the direction he wants to now under the reasoning 'It's not for your ears, it's for ours.'.

Well... I think that goes for the rest of his music as well- in so much as how it lands on our, the viewers' ears, and perhaps that's also why he's not attaining the mass appeal he thinks he deserves. He's writing music for vampires. Not humans.

It's not for our ears, and that's why if you and I find it intentionally grating, off-putting, cheesey, cringe, insufferable, obnoxious and all those other things that's precisely why.

It's not for human ears.

Anywho I could be completely off the mark here, already trodding over already established ground, or I stumbled onto some keen observation lolol, but the pieces all seem to fall into place for that lil theory to make total sense to me, and even if I'm wrong that's gonna be my own personal head-cannon from here on out ha ha. :)

OST QUESTION

I finished episode 7 ie season finale of vampire Lestat. I was wondering if this song was published anywhere because the soundtrack this season that’s on music platforms is just lestats music. I tried shazaming and couldn’t find it. The song is in this scene spoiler warning ofc if you watch. This musical score is just too beautiful for me not to have it in my library. Thank you!

Did anyone notice from episode 1 TVL? Potential spoilers for anyone not caught up or aware of Anne Rice’s vampire chronicles

Now that the season is over, and we know what is next in terms of season name, not sure if anyone has already posted this question, but, I’ll ask anyway: >!I was rewatching episode 1, trying to see if I could spot Lestat mannerisms in Raglan James knowing what I know about Body Thief, and idk if it’s wishful thinking, but it seems there were. Like the specific way he stood and walked away from the auction (once the first case had been incinerated, like to make sure) and the way he looked at Louis and Armand battling it out for the second box. So, is it safe to say that the swap already happened then?!<

Edit to add another question: did anyone else notice Louis’ eye color on auction scene? They looked icy blue to me, or at least much brighter.

it must be awkward

if jacbo's famliy like his wife or kids (if they are old enough) to watch interview with the vampire , the vampire lastest.

i know thst he is only acting , playing the character louis and his famliy are probably are use to it but yeah.

i would feel awkward if I flimed a scene like fighting or a romantic scene etc and by the end of the week or something i went back to my family or talked to them.

probably they stay in hotal's etc and i have done some aching but not professional , on the level of that as a tv show / a film (i have dyslexia etc).

like it helps probably that all the cast as a really good relationship with everyone but still.

i mean in awkwardness also for some reason I can't reply to the comments under this post.
