The Mortian Iron Nest resin model... scale?

A buddy of mine is printing the nest for me as a gift, and WOW what a kit that is. Looks incredible. I'd really like to know the estimated scale of the model though. My guess would be like, 1:350 because that's typical battleship scale, but I was hoping someone had a definite answer

It's really funny that this is meant to be ridiculous hyperbole for propaganda but ends up being almost an exact account of what happened if you've played it right

Will I have fun with this game if I’m bad at math

I had a learning disability when I was younger and still kind of do when it comes to math and such. Will this effect my enjoyment of the game?

Thanks for this stroke of tactical genius, High Command !

I love it when my cross-fixes have a margin of error measured in kilometers.

How big is the Iron Nest?

Do we have any sense of scale to how big it actually is? Is it ever mentioned in game? I’d just really like to know.

Why is the achievement still not unlocked?

I have finished the gorge mission and had all its gold medals (not at the same time).

Back-to-back shots are satisfying

Coast guns mission - two shots to clear all 3 hidden installations.

Shuffle!

I'm finishing up a mod for myself and I thought the community might like it too. Ever get tired of listening to the same record over and over? Well... About that.

I'll post again when it's up on Nexus. Almost done, should be ready soon(tm).

Help getting the gold medal for No Quarter on the mission Dead Reckoning

I saw on gold medal guides that you need 15 kills to get gold, but I was only able to find and kill 13. After that, the forward observers would only report back on the locations of other forward observers, so I assumed that was all the enemies. What am I missing here?

Dead Reckoning is driving me insane

Aside from all spotter info being wrong, i tear gassed almost the entire map and couldn't find a single objective. What am i supposed to do? Does anyone have a solution or am i doing something wrong?

Holy fuck I just realized this - The Iron Nest is a Metal Gear

"Yes, it has many metal gears." /j

But literally, in the MGS franchise, a Metal Gear is described as a walking man-operated machine capable of launching nukes.

Sure, it's quadrapedal and not bipedal, but there have been tons of other non-bipedal Metal Gears in the franchise before.

Interesting bug on Siege of Cartagena--all targets destroyed but the game just is not progressing. Cleared whole map too.

I find it really funny when people discover that DRIL rounds are lethal.

I mean, it's a concrete-filled, 800 mm, taller-than-a-person shell, fired from a giant cannon and falling at the enemy at God knows what speed. I would have been very surprised if it didn't turn anything short of a bunker into a fine mist.

What did I do here? What is this called?

This is the mission where you lose your ballistic computer. I found a table online that had distance for every 5 degrees, but of course i need more fine adjustments. So over time i ended up with the above. It started simple with just putting the angle and distances with the yellow lines so i didn't have to alt tab. Then i added the rings so i could see the range all around and see where the target fell between them. The first shot i rough guesstimated it, then i realized that if i placed a angled white line between the intersection of the lower angle to the higher angle, measured the distance to the target with a ring, I could then drag a yellow line to the intersection of the angled white line and the dotted ring to see the exact elevation needed. For example, the yellow line marked 33.0 degrees got me a direct hit on the target with only a single HE shell.

This and timing the shell to hit the moving train so have made me feel like an absolute god and all i needed was a radius scribe and a stopwatch.

It reminds me of Riemann sums and integrals from early math classes.

I know for an absolute fact that i came up with nothing new, so i'm genuinely curious to what this is called.
