first off: i hate to be this negative, but i really feel the need to express how infuriating this season and the changes that were made to it are.

we know that there were a lot of behind the scenes issues with production and judging panel, but it still amazes me that they hired a host with no drag experience. not to mention, i really feel like cameron's comedy and person is very forced. they yell constantly, and it's a sensory nightmare for me. when that preview comes on and they say "i bet you didn't expect me," i agree. it just doesn't make any sense.

the rest of the panel: damien the CEO of revry being here is obviously them putting themself above someone actually qualified. and their juvenile response to being called out about revry, and not the kings, getting all merch sales? gottmik would have been interesting if there was a more balanced panel, and if she weren't so controversial personally. she has a reputation for being really rude, she's besties with marilyn manson, and recently got a DUI. surely there are better gender-bending representatives.

i like that perka and henlo are judes too, and that we're seeing other kings from season 1.

we're just two episodes in and it just feels so... off. i really hope that things can get to a more natural and home-y like the first season. i want these kings to have a great platform but it's already daunting. i am sure i am being dramatic, but still.

and please omg cameron the energy needs to come down 😭 i just feel zero genuineness coming from them. we don't need to yell all the time.

Not trying to be snarky! Just genuinely curious. That judge spot could’ve been filled by a drag king, and I don’t really know why that isn’t the case or what other qualifications they have other than being Revry’s CEO. For a show whose focus is on centering drag kings, it seems like there are several areas where that is not being executed as well as they could and should be imo!

Red flag.

After seeing the live finale flyer, I couldn't be more unhappy with Revry, Damian, and the entire team fumbling these kings YET AGAIN. Damian is centering themselves yet again and hosting the finale with ginger minj, who no drag king I know of gives two craps about. WHY ISNT A DRAG KING HOSTING THE FINALE?!

Damian wants to boost drag king careers in these lip service interviews but then puts themself in their roles and jobs?! Also REPLACE GINGER HELLO!!

and where is Cyrus K Statton on the finale promo? I guess spoiler alert, he doesn't win because he won't be there???

They hired 4 local kings from NYC for the finale and not one of them is Black...

Damian, Revry ... what are you doing? Why aren't you listening to us??? You know the community is small, right? You know we fully see your mistreatment of our community and that you ignore every opportunity to make it right, even when you have time to fix it...... I hope they ass gets haunted by 3 ghosts before they actually harm one of the kings past the point of no return, and that is not an exaggeration. 💔

I’m sure I’m not the only one noticing Cyrus not being included in these flyers. Check out Revry’s recent Dinah post for example. I wonder what is happening because even the cast and himself have pointed it out.
