Jailer 2 show count in Kochi shows massive movie watching population here!

There are like 200+ shows for this movie on BookMyShow... This is among the few times when almost every theatre has so many shows and ppl still find it difficult to get tickets... All these shows will probably be housefull by 15th oct that means roughly 20k people will watch this movie on the first day itself! This number is massive comparing Kochi's 9 lakh population...now we know why many theatres are opening suddenly in Kochi 🥶

How is the first-row balcony viewing experience at Matha Theatre

I’ve booked tickets for Jailer 2 FDFs at Matha Theatre in the G Row, in the balcony. This is my first time watching a movie there, so I’m not familiar with the screen or seating layout.

I noticed on Google Maps/photos that there seems to be a small wall in front of the balcony’s first row.

Will this wall affect the viewing angle or obstruct the screen?

Also, how is the overall theatre experience?

Would appreciate feedback from anyone who has watched a movie there, especially from the first row of the balcony. Thanks!

Dolby Cinema Kochi regular shows post 17th

Hearing that Dolby Cinema blessing ceremony is scheduled on only the 17th. So regular shows might only start from 18th.

PVR Mymoon experience

Visited Mymoon today morning to watch Heart of the beast, the whole building and its interiors looks stunning, watched it in Audi 5. A small Audi but well equipped. The 2K laser projector is good enough for the screen size and the Dolby 7.1 was well calibrated. I did not like the seats tho, the pushback on mine was very rigid, don’t know if that’s the case with all the seats. The smaller screens of Palaxi cinemas in Thrissur felt better to me.

Now addressing the elephant in the room the PARKING. It’s just not enough, I think it can accommodate around 50 cars. It was filled by the time I was leaving and they were removing the ‘parking full’ boards as we were leaving opening up few spots. This is not even a major movie releasing day. I really hope they find a solution to this. Would definitely visit to experience the PXL soon.
