I like to believe Hideo Kojima took inspiration from me when creating Venom Snake

I've probably gone completely insane, and I'm almost certainly delusional. But for years I've genuinely enjoyed believing this little theory.

Back in 2013, when Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was released, I had the incredible chance to meet Hideo Kojima in Italy, together with the legendary Yoji Shinkawa. I won a contest that gave me the opportunity to meet them in person.

I didn't just ask for autographs—I also handed Kojima a letter that I had written specifically for him.

In that letter, among many other things, I tried to explain the impact he and the Metal Gear series had on my life, especially when I was a kid.

I played Metal Gear Solid on the original PlayStation when I was around 9 or 10 years old, shortly after it came out in Europe. I was completely blown away—not only by the gameplay, but by the story and its characters, especially Gray Fox.

At that age, I was absolutely convinced that I wanted to become a fighter pilot or have some kind of military career. In the mind of a ten-year-old, there was nothing more noble than serving your country and protecting the weak. It was obviously a very naive and idealized vision of the military, but I genuinely thought that was my future because I couldn't see any downside.

Then came Gray Fox.

His final speech and his conversations with Snake affected me far more than I could have imagined. The idea of becoming nothing more than a tool in someone else's hands—fighting wars that weren't mine, possibly even hurting innocent people along the way—really stayed with me.

It made me rethink everything.

I eventually gave up that dream and started looking for a different path. For other reasons as well, I ended up choosing what felt like the complete opposite: I decided to become a doctor.

Instead of dedicating my life to potentially taking lives, I wanted to dedicate it to saving them.

When I met Kojima, I was still a medical student.

Today, I'm a physician.

I still remember him smiling when I handed him the letter. And something that always stuck with me is that after the event, he only posted one picture from that day on Twitter... and it was the one with me.

Fast forward a couple of years.

Metal Gear Solid V comes out.

Pretty early on, people begin to suspect that the protagonist might not actually be Big Boss. But imagine my surprise when the ending reveals that not only is he not Big Boss... he's an ordinary person.

A character that the player creates.

A way of saying that anyone can be a hero.

And not just any ordinary person.

A doctor.

Now, yes... it's almost certainly just a coincidence.

But out of every possible profession they could have chosen—and arguably many that would have made more sense—why a doctor?

Let me be just a little bit egotistical and keep believing that maybe, just maybe, Kojima remembered the story of that Italian kid who told him that his game had convinced him not to become a soldier... but a doctor instead.

And hey... the opening song of Ground Zeroes, Here's to You, was written by Ennio Morricone, an Italian composer, in honor of two Italians.

Surely that has to mean something, right? 😄

You might ask why I'm talking about this only now, after all these years.

Well...

A) I never wanted to bring it up because someone might convince me that this is all completely in my head.

B) Kojima is currently in Italy... and who knows, maybe we'll end up grabbing a coffee someday.

Instead of being sad I have an idea for Sony

Prior to possible ps6 , why not adding a law that will only allow users to turn their digital copies in to physical just with the condition not to sell it , then this will give the users the possibility and freedom to either use for those who does not want physical keep their copies digital and for those who still want to keep their copies for personal use only still continue to keep a physical copy of the game but this game by the ps6 will only be rewritten in a form of only this user will be owning it and wont be able to sell it so ps6 will be able to restrict the format to only being able yo keep it for oneself
I am thinking out loud ? Is not it good ?

THE WHOLE TRUTH ABOUT KOJIMA AND KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS

We all know that Kojima invites popular stars like Stefanie Joosten, Elle Fanning, Margaret Qualley, and Norman Reedus to his studio. And all of them, at least to some extent, have shown their heels in Kojima's games. And now everything has finally become crystal clear...

KOJIMA CREATED KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS SOLELY TO SCAN THE HEELS OF POPULAR STARS USING HUNDREDS OF CAMERAS IN 8K RESOLUTION!

Consequently, to ensure you never find yourself in such a vulnerable position, you must strictly follow the CYF (Cover Your Feet) protocol, which was established based on these findings and analysis:

  1. DO NOT ENTER A ROOM FILLED WITH MULTIPLE CAMERAS. The very moment you are requested to undergo a 3D scan for a game, make sure to state explicitly in your Digital Likeness Release contract that you refuse to expose your character in any way. Pay close attention to what this entails in the next rule.
  2. NEVER LOOK KOJIMA IN THE EYE. Kojima is the absolute god of his studio. If he takes too much of a liking to you, HE WILL CALL THE GUARDS AND VIOLENTLY SCAN YOUR ENTIRE BODY! Even if you signed the protective contract mentioned above, he will hire 100 of the best lawyers in Japan to locate a loophole and get exactly what he wants! Especially during deep, heartfelt conversations: never show him photos from your beach vacations, avoid wearing open outfits that reveal your lower legs, and do not bring up the topic of feet at all.
  3. GOD FORBID YOU EVER WALK AROUND KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS IN SLIPPERS OR ANY OTHER OPEN-TOED SHOES!
  4. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY ACCIDENTALLY EXPOSED YOUR FEET or other body parts in the studio, and they have already made it into the game... your best bet is to go completely off the grid for a while. If Kojima decides to develop a new game... HE WILL TRACK YOU DOWN, AND ALL OF THESE SAFETY RULES WILL BECOME ABSOLUTELY USELESS!
  5. If you are strictly following all these rules, it would also be a great idea to appease Kojima by gifting him 3D figurines of cool characters, as well as showing appreciation for his legendary work. As our research shows, this significantly softens the severity of the previous rules, but still - do not cross the line. Because if you overdo it... all hell will break loose.

Thank you for reading. (These rules were written out of pure respect for Hideo Kojima and all the actors mentioned above).

What's with Kojima? Why does he keep adding random pictures of pornstars to his games?

I wrote an essay on the diegetic and therapeutic usi of the Photo Mode in Death Stranding 2 as interpretative key to the work.

If someone is interested I'd love to hear your feedback and ideas 😁.

Here's the link to the essay on my Substack:

Death can't tear us apart

Thank you everyone, keep on keeping on!

Kojima watches “Supergirl” (movie review) in IMAX.

"I saw “Supergirl” in IMAX. It wasn’t a “superhero movie” about saving the Earth through self-sacrifice as “justice” confronts “evil.” It was a coming-of-age story about saving oneself, Kara, as she struggles with her own trauma. Structurally, it feels less like “Mad Max: Fury Road” (2015), where everyone is driven purely by survival instinct beyond notions of good and evil, and more like The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966), where heroes, villains, and scoundrels all converge."

I just finished MGS 2.... My god this is one of the most profound pieces of media that I have ever consumed

Now i have a knack for stuff that is profound. My favorite game of all time is NieR Automata which i consider to be the most profound game ever made.

But this, I dont even think I played the game, The game played me like a dammed Fiddle.

Starting the game i didnt really think i would like the game all that much. Going through the bomb section, doing a back and forth, finding all the nodes, it was all really tedious. So i was thinking "man this game cant be as good as MGS 1" Boy im so thankful that i was wrong.

When i met the President and he started to talk about the Patriots, that caught my eye... This bullshigity is probably happening as we speak. I move on and E.E. tells me about GW. Holy mother of god my mouth was on the floor when this happened. Information, all across the world altered, changed as the elites see fit. Changing the past, how an individual reacts, changing the future itself, my goodness.

And then Roy's cover falls. He has been an illusion created by GW on Raiden's head. Was he even real in MGS 1? Like... Holy. Then comes the S3 protocol, a protocol which proves that given the right cirsumstances, you can make a person do anything, achieve anything, became the legend itself. This dude Ocelot fooled Solidus, Dead Cell, Raiden, Snake, EVEN ME.

And then the full truth is revealed. what the patriots actually want. No individual though, No self, no difference, everyone will be told what the patriots want, they will see what the patriots want, every thought will be the same. There will be no more conflict cuz everything will be already processed.

The way Campbell keeps babbling about random stuff which makes no sense and raiden just listens...is simply what social media is. You consume but dont think, bots as we speak make up the majority of the internet, we dont know what real or not. We dont even think about that, there is no thought. What the hell did kojima smoke before making this my goodness. Govt has already said that they use mematic warfare to divert the minds of people, if they can say this, how much are they hiding.

I cant even imagine coming up with this stuff at a time when thinking of stuff like this basically makes you an insane conspiracy theorist. And when you play this game today, you just see HOW much it has predicted.

Am i going insane? is this the intended experience?
