Guys I'm from future with some news.

Coming from the year 2042, I have brought some great news for all of you. The Cricket League of China had a great inaugural season. Six teams played over the course of a month and final concluded just yesterday. Beijing Dragons and Shanghai Knight Riders were the finalists and match was played in the Great Dome situated in Guangzhou.

After a phenomenal finale perfomance by Chinese artists to present the beautiful culture of China to the whole world, the toss happened which was won by Beijing Dragons. They decided to have a bowl first.

Shanghai Knight Riders batted first on the high tech hybrid pitch specifically made to offer pace and bounce along with little help to spinners, but nothing too lethal for batsmen. After 20 overs the score read 187 for 6, which was a tiny bit above the average score on this ground.

Beijing Dragons started the innings strongly, scoring 84 runs in Powerplay, courtesy to their opener who has trained in AI simulations since he was 5. But the spinners struck back in middle overs, taking wickets as well as conceding minimal runs.

After a nail biting 19th over which brought two wickets but 13 runs, the score read 180 for 7. With 8 runs needed in last over and a set batsmen on crease along with a tailender, the match seemed in hands of Beijing Dragons. And then the captain of Shanghai Knight Riders took a bold decision to give the ball to their best spinner.

And what a over! Conceding just four runs in final over, Shanghai Knight Riders lifted the first trophy of Cricket League of China! And Knight Riders Group had added 20th trophy in their cabinet!

Player of the Match is none other than Shanghai Knight Riders' best spinner, bowling at economy of 5 and taking 3 wickets, Sunil Narine, at the age of 54 nonetheless.

(This is just my imagination, and this is not to hurt anyone's sentiments. This was just in jest so take it like that, thank you.)

KKR want into The Hundred, but apparently only with a brand-new team

https://preview.redd.it/7cr7j01ja2kh1.png?width=819&format=png&auto=webp&s=ea5aeea26b4d6ee211422f4278ba00134db14ab8

The Knight Riders Group is reportedly ready to invest in The Hundred, but rather than buying into one of the existing franchises, they want the ECB to create a new team.

And honestly, expansion is starting to make a lot of sense.

The Hundred already has IPL ownership everywhere:

  • Manchester Super Giants → Lucknow Super Giants owners
  • MI London → Mumbai Indians owners
  • Sunrisers Leeds → Sunrisers Hyderabad owners
  • Southern Brave → Delhi Capitals co-owners

KKR joining would add another major global franchise network, alongside Trinbago Knight Riders and their other investments.

For the ECB, more teams also means more matches and potentially more broadcast inventory ahead of the next rights cycle.

Would you expand The Hundred to bring KKR in? And if so, which city should get the new team?

Hardik for Cam. My FOOT!

What a fight from Cameron Green.

Green walked in at 73/3, with Australia still 155 runs behind Bangladesh. The wicket was tricky, but he held his ground. His partnership with Smith and Carey was the highlight of Aus's innings. The only thing that went in their way. Together, they kept the fort strong, soaking up the pressure and slowly dragging Australia back into the game. Green then carried on with Starc, eventually bringing up a brilliant 104 off 201 balls.

A remarkable insight from this innings is that his century was marred only by 4 boundaries and 1 six – the only one by the Aus batters.

The result didn't go Australia's way, but innings like this remind you why the young blood is special

Why are KKR still sticking with Nayar as head coach after a mediocre last season?

Are we gonna forget how clueless and incompetent he was tactically last season?

Harshit Rana under Hardik Pandya could be lethal 🔥

We’re all starting to see just how good a bowler Harshit Rana is, and now he’s slowly becoming more impactful with the bat as well. If he continues developing as a genuine all-rounder under Hardik Pandya, I genuinely feel Hardik could bring out the best in him.

This whole Hardik to KKR scenario honestly feels too good to be true. If it actually happens, 2027 could be a massive year for KKR. I still think our 2026 squad was pretty good, but having Hardik as captain and potentially becoming the face of the franchise could take KKR to another level. 🔥

And if he can help unlock Harshit’s full potential along the way, that combination could be seriously lethal.
