First Saturday with an Opponent in Alliance Duel - Tips?

Hi all, I am an R4 in a newer server and my alliance is facing our first opponent.

A few questions are popping up:

does the battle on Saturday (day 6) last the full duration from reset to reset?

We are matched with one server for Alliance Duel and another for KvK — how do those two things interact / intersect, or not?

Any other tips for first timers? We will be defending most likely.

New player, how P2W is it if I mainly care about alliance play?

Thinking of starting Last Asylum. I've played Rise of Kingdoms and Clash of Clans before. My main goal is to be in a solid, active alliance, do the alliance events together, and join the wars. I'm fine spending a little but not big money. Can a F2P or low spender actually contribute in alliance fights, or do whales decide everything? Also, any active English-speaking servers for someone in Asia timezone?

Tech squad might bonus vs total combat tech

Can someone help me understand exactly what goes into the tech might bonus for your squad vs why my total combat tech is different. So my total combat tech is 2.7mil but I only get a 1.4mil boost in my squad

Increase march size
