Update: I just notice those swirling things that show up when a video is buffering. I like that. It's like their brains are buffering.

Taking a closer look at Lumine’s new outfit it really does not look that bad, especially around the sides.

Since the Song of the Welkin Moon Chapter has concluded with the release of the final two acts alongside it being close to Luna VIII release I thought now would be a good time to ask what did you all think of the latest chapter of the Archon Quest, which in some ways seemed like a detour given that it’s not numbered like the other chapters. The upcoming chapter is numbered 6 while the previous chapter was numbered 5. I am not fully sure of the reason behind that. 

As of typing this I have not completed this chapter yet. I am currently on the final act with completing the second part of that act. I was hoping to complete it during the weekend, but that did not work out due to factors being a mismanagement of time and my body being stressed to the point of feeling like I was catching something (thankfully that did not happen and I am currently well). However despite this feel free to share your thoughts on this chapter in the comments. I am going to try to complete this chapter on Monday. 

Anyway, while I have not completed the chapter I would say that I had a good time experiencing it overall. I would say my highlights include Lumine having the most voice dialogue compared to other chapters that came before and seeing Sumarian characters from past World Quests being a part of the main story. I would have not expected that way back in Version 3 some of the World Quests and the characters involved in those quests would be connected to the main story down the road, and with that hearing those characters voices for the first time (with the exception of the Aranaras for some reason). With the inclusion of those character it gives those quest significance; including the Aranyaka, which thinking about it I am feeling a bit sorry for newer players who would potentially want to complete that series of quest in order to get the most out of the latter two Acts of this Chapter given how convoluted it was to complete. 

Oh! There is also that we finally got to see Lumine wearing a different outfit from the one she (the writers) insisted on wearing (even though it was for a brief time as given the illustrations seen in Acts 9 and 10 she is still wearing her Rising Star outfit). 

That’s all of the highlights I can recall for me. There could have been more that I just don’t remember given how much time has passed throughout this version. 

Edit: I forgot to bring this question up, and this could be me jumping the gun here since I have not completed the chapter, but what are people getting at with a retcon taking place in the main story? I kept seeing post from the official Genshin Impact subreddit discussing about it.t

I thought it was a alright event. It was simple enough and so didn’t take long to complete. The highlight for me was seeing Bennet and learning how he has been doing since we last saw him in the Sunspray Summer Resort event. I also like there was a callback to another event that happened earlier in this version that we are in; that being the Soulblazers’ Snowboard Journey. I do like it when characters bring up past events as it makes everything feel more connected. 

On another note I am a bit disappointed that I miss out on extra dialogue between Veresa and Minnie as well as Xilonen and Nepecha. That is what I get for not having the Genshin Impact wiki available. Thankfully I did find a video that shows all of the hidden dialogue. However the quality of the video looks…for a lack of a better term, faint, which I found to be odd at first because judging from the controller displays I am assuming they are playing on the PlayStation 5 and one can transfer those videos from the console to Youtube with the quality of the video remaining intact. However, thinking about it, it could also be possible they are playing on PC (or mobile which just came to mind as I am typing this) using a PlayStation controller. Also it would seem the person edited the footage together before publishing the video on YouTube instead of transferring straight to the website. Well regardless I am thankful that someone was considerate enough to share the additional dialogue from this event.
