100% Thanks for the game and story!

I just 100%’d Mio and I have all the sad. It was beautiful, frustrating as hell and poignant. Thanks to Douze Dizièmes for releasing such an amazing title.

Now if only there was merch of the little robot. I’d be buying it in an instant.

Gorgeous. Beauty in the underlying despair.

Feeling big feelings!

Lost after taking a break, where should I go next?

I took a break from this game for a few months and now I’m completely lost. I don’t know where to pick things back up. I remember the boss fights I encountered before were pretty tough for me, so I’d like to jump back in somewhere that doesn’t immediately throw me into a big fight, if possible. Any help is appreciated!

I QUIT

I’m no expert gamer, so this game seems grueling, time sucking, and would likely take me a millennia to finish if I was immortal LOL. The huge skill spikes with the bosses and the walk backs are so frustrating and time consuming, I feel like I’m just wandering around aimlessly smashing bugs til I get enough nacre to increase a stat. Yeah this game sucks for those of us that aren’t experts, waste of money and time!

Played the entire game without using HUD elements to see HP bars.

>!!<My ass, did not realize that I was perma losing HP to the Tremors, as the game went on. At least everything felt cinematic as shit when I did both endings and their bosses.>!!<

How to trigger the cutscene for flash memory 1

Just beat sol and vin after doing averything else in the game and cant get the firs flash memory.

Now I know im supposed to walk in front of the big statue to trigger a tremor and the guy falls but it simply wont happen no matter how many times i go through the statue.

I have teleported away from the area and I came back and I even removed all of my mods cause i was scared some of the heath ones might be blocking it but the cutscene still wont trigger, what do i need to do? Is it just bugged? Is it just walking in front of the statue? Do i need to do smth else?

HOW DO I GET THE HAND

Like seriously I searched it up and it told me to go back to trigger a boss fight but it doesn't and I'm like 99% sure it's in one of these places

Sad detail I noticed in ending

I didn't notice this the first time but after finishing my second run with >!the true ending, going to that post-credits scene, I noticed what seems to be Rad crushed under the rubble!< :(((((

I hope I'm wrong and that's just a random unit but seeing that made me really sad since I kinda liked that character despite having only a few interactions in-game. Combine that with the overall atmosphere, the wonderful music, and the news that the studio closed down........despair.

I recently started a second play through and found this by accident

>!It’s Samsk’s room and it’s above the room where you first started in the game!<

Stuck after default ending

Where do I go after the vanilla ending? I feel like I've checked every corner of the map multiple times but I can't get to any of the "explorable" locations any further... I've been to the >!observatory!< and I have defeated the following bosses: >!Egis, Flora, Crow, Acat, Calderon, Nabuu, Lombre, Atmos, Debby, Sawlong, Antra/Dr Halyn, Ati, Poltergates!<. I have all of Mio's skills except for the one at the very top of the list

Places I just can't seemingly make any more progress in:

 • atop the Promenade tower, there's another locked path right to the left of the overseer
 • anywhere in the statue area atop Metropolis; the statue is obviously gone, but the gate to the left is locked and the lift on the right obstructed
 • beyond the Blood's Sanctum, there's a locked door to the left and a nook I just can't reach at the top left
 • right above Poltergates' boss room(?)
 • at the bottom of Foundations, there's a locked door pointing towards the <redacted> area
 • upwards from the Sawlong path - there's a hole in the ceiling among the sawblades about 2/3rds of the way through, but I can't get to it, as well as a couple of destructible walls shortly before, but I can't break either one from this side
 • to the left of Dr Halyn's lab, around where I got abducted; I've gotten to whatever the yellow area to the left is using the slingshot ability on a purple wall, but I can't make it upwards past here

Any tips? I've been loving the game so far, but I always despise this aspect of backtracking in metroidvanias... I've been going in circles for no less thn 3 hours at this point. Please try keeping it as spoiler-free as possible, thanks! No mentioning areas/bosses I haven't stumbled across thus far, preferably

Feelings stuck and getting frustrated. Any tips?

I don't know how much of the game is left for me tbh. i've been trying to explore ember twin but the sand mechanic is stressing me out so much fr and I'm always getting lost in the underground tunnels :( I feel like no matter how much I explore the planet i can't find what i'm looking for. I can't for the life of me find the way to the angler fish cave or the high energy lab.

I'm feel so stuck. I don't know how to get to the solar station or the ash twin project (and some other things lol)

I kinda want to avoid walkthroughs bc I used one to get to the quantic moon and I realized that was a mistake because it would've been so much better to figure that out on my own (and I still haven't explored it fully)

Don't get me wrong, even tho i'm frustrated iI'mm OBSESSED with the game. The lore is amazing and I love how it's up to the player to piece the story together. It's also SO PRETTY

Please, does anyone have tips or hints??

Mel scrapling quest bug?

I believe I freed the first scrapling (the one stuck in the frozen door in the very beginning of the game) before receiving the quest. Then I freed three more, and thought I got an achievement for freeing all, Mel still complains that "one is missing" and asks me yo look for them. Is there a way to fix this? I play on Xbox cloud

Just finished the game and WOW

I thought MIO was going to be a solid metroidvania. Bought this game based on visuals alone lol. It looked so unique and gorgeous that I figured that would make it worth it even if the game itself was just okay. And sure enough, it may be the most beautiful 2D game I've seen. But I ended up getting way more than I expected.

The music is amazing. This doesn't sound like an indie game. A lot of love went into every single song, from the main menu all the way to the ending, and they all perfectly convey what's shown on screen.

The world itself is so varied. So many settings full of color and themes. The world feels lived in, it feels alive.

The gameplay is exactly what one would expect for a metroidvania. Nothing revolutionary but solid.

But what really caught me off guard is the story. These kinds of games always have minimalistic, somewhat ambiguous but serviceable stories. However few strike the right balance of a minimalistic story that is also rich and enjoyable to figure out. There’s so much interesting lore, so many memorable characters that reveal little bits of information, so much environmental storytelling. The highlight are of course the voices. Despite barely showing up, their dialogue and body language is so full of personality, and you can feel their impact throughout the game. It was a delight to slowly understand everyone's motivations and events that led to this situation.

The themes of physical and mental decay, mortality and clinging on to lost causes are excellently portrayed.

And that end sequence (both of them) is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. It's simultaneously so full of despair and hope, and it perfectly shows how dire the situation is and what is at stake.

Easily one of the best games I've played in years.

Douze Dizièmes (MIO: Memories in Orbit) is shutting down.

Link to paywalled article (in French): https://www.lefigaro.fr/secteur/high-tech/il-va-y-avoir-de-la-grosse-casse-alerte-rouge-dans-le-jeu-video-francais-face-aux-fermetures-et-aux-licenciements-en-cascade-20260623

Writer of the article: https://bsky.app/profile/chloew.bsky.social/post/3mowzopmsw22k

Quote from tweet:

> "There's going to be major turmoil": Red alert in the French video game industry amid a wave of closures and layoffs

> My in-depth report on Game Camp 2026 is now online. In it, you'll learn, among other things, about the closure of the studio Douze Dixièmes (MIO)

Backed by another French journalist Gautoz:

> It's the end of the road for the French studio Douze Dizièmes (MIO)—information we have confirmed. Recently dropped by Focus, the co-founders had bought back all the shares, but it appears this was mainly so they could lay themselves off on their own terms rather than those of the publisher.

Utterly screwed up circumstances.

This financial report back in April confirmed that MIO seemingly underperformed expectations.
