im not gonna suger coat it. i just straight up suck at the combat. in combats that (according to the game) should be hugely in my favour i still lose or lose almost all of my army. i dont wanna auto resolve anymore. i try to flank the enemies but even flanked they still just kill me so fast

i used to play a lot of 4X games as a kid and i loved them. my most played was a game called Call to Power 2 (which from what i understand started as a civ spin off?)

but now as an adult i have no idea how to play them and i dont know why. i usually just play through tutorial and it makes perfect sense but the moment i go into a game its like my brain forget everything and just get so overwhelmed about what i can do and what i should do.

like where is the best place to build a city? how many cities should i have? what should i research now etc?

i also feel like im playing the games wrong. for Civ 6 for example i feel like sometimes i just sit there and click end turn until something is finished like a building or a research, and idk it feels like im playing the game wrong that way if that makes sense.

i dont really know how to explain it but my brain just cant seem to wrap around how to actually play these games. does anyone else have any tips or been in a similar situation?

hello. im am a Guild Wars 2 player and has never played Guild Wars 1. i finally decided to give it shot because of Reforged (and i want the hall of monument stuff lol)

i'm a Revenant player in GW2 because i love the lore, aesthetic and gameplay, so i would love to play a class that similar lore wise. i dont really mind what the gameplay of the class is im more focused on the class that is most similar lore wise. from my own research it seems to be Ritualist? but im not 100% sure so i wanted to ask actual GW1 players.

does it add anything to survival mode or is it just a story mode?

sorry if this has been asked a million times but i just need to know. i love this game so far but ive read up about the Leyak and stuff like it just freaks me out in any game (same reason i have a hard time playing Pacific Drive because the "tourists" can just appear behind you). i know there is a mod to remove it but i dont really wanna use that. when does it exactly appear in the game? ive only done Flathill so far so im not very far.

also is there ways to make it more noticable when it stalking you?

ive tried so many times to get into it. i have 50 hours played (which is know is nothing) of just trying to learn the basics. ive watched hundreds of tutorials, played along with guides hundreds of times and i just dont get it. it seems so fun when people are actually playing the game but i just try and try and try and try and just dont get even the most basic things.

i still dont understand civilian factories or to see how many of my civilian factories to what. people and videos have explained to me a million times and i still dont get it. this is just one of what feels like a million things i just dont... get.... it.

and dont get me started on stuff like planes, my brain just sees a million buttons and icons on the screen and cant process anything even after focusing on just one button for what feels like hours

i wanna learn and i wanna play but i genuially think i am to stupid to play this game

this is just a really dumb question that i was pondering on.

i dont know what else to call it but by "dragoon jump" i mean the dodge you can do as a Vindicator where you jump up and slam down on the ground.

i dont know all the lore surrounding Guild Wars so i dont know if i missed anything but from what i looked into there doesnt seem to be anything to suggest that two legends you channel in the stance has done so in the lore? i might just have missed something though.

dont get me wrong, i love that jump, it feels awesome do and Vindicator is my favorite spec in the game. i was just curious if there is a lore or thematic reason as to why they can do it since a lot of the other elite specs (on both Revenant and other classes) their mechanics are very easily understood as to why they can do what they do

there also doesnt have to be a reason, Rule of Cool is also fine for me. i was just curious

hello. ive had this bug(?) on ranger that when every time i use Poison Volley on Shortbow it makes the game stutter for about half a second. its only this ability. no other ability in the game causes a stutter. it also happens every single time without fail. has anyone else had this problem?

its not the end of the world for me but it annoying since i really like shortbow and would love to fix the issue

im new to the game, only played about 10 hours and so far i have not seen any clay, im starting to think the game is gaslighting me into believing it real. how the hell do i find it.

hello :) im looking for a survival game that where the entire pointing is just surviving and thats about it. having a story and missions is okay but i rather that not be the focus of the game. kinda like Minecraft i guess where the point of the game is just do whatever you want but there is also the goals of killing the ender dragon, the wither etc.

i also played Project Zomboid and The Long Dark but they weren't my cup of tea

also please no games where you spend a lot of time underwater, i am terrified of the ocean and playing games like Subnautica and Raft gave me panic attacks lol

hello its me again, i just have a quick question. i have a quest to do the instance Woe of the Willow and i find you can start as a Solo instance with an NPC helping you. so i did that and it was fine but then i got to the first boss and it has 16k HP. i do maybe around 20 damage to it with my abilites. is this normal? because of the NPC i cant die but killing the boss takes over 15 minutes

edit: also not sure if it matters but im also on landscape difficulty 4. no other solo instance has it effected but in this one i still get eye of sauron mechanics

Hello I'm trying to find a class to play and Guardian looks cool. The only problem is that I hate tanking in MMOs and multiplayer games in general, I don't wanna level one only to not have anyone want me in their groups because I don't wanna tank.

been stuck on >!Vide!<for 2 hours now. i only made it to her second phase where you have all 8 characters ONCE. the game has been medium difficulty up until now with a few spikes here and there and but this is insane, the boss basically one shots me. i have Partitio as an Arcanist to do the diffusion + sidestep combo and that helps me survive the first phase but then i get to the second phase where you have to use the other 4 who are not in your main party. and they all just fall over. i have the best equipment on them that i have, nothing i have found is better then what they are equiped with (only the main party has better stuff)

all my characters are around lvl 60. i just dont know what to do. then one time i got to the final phase the boss killed me before i could even figure out what to do. guess im just so bad i cant even beat this game which according to a lot of peopel online a very easy game

i heard good stuff about the game and since its on sale i was thinking of getting. but i also read the game can be extremely hard. as someone who would describe themselves as a bad gamer, would the game be to hard for me?

Estimated year of release: No idea but it was a PS1 game and i remember playing it around 1999-2000 but it might have release earlier

Graphics/art style: i dont really know how to describe it but i remember it being more on the "realistic" type of graphics for the time and the tracks being pretty brown

Notable characters: no characters but i remember a car that had 1 back wheel and 2 front wheels

Notable gameplay mechanics: not any that i can remember other then just racing around a track

Other details: what i remember most about it is that Freestyler by Bomfunk MCs played during races. i know its not Wipeout. probably not much to go on but any help would be appreciated
