hi , I was just wondering if anyone took this I am looking for some advice or someone who could tell me the experience with the the teachers and courses?

I am deciding to register into Writing for Academic Success is at an easy course or is it difficult?

I am just concered because I am aiming for As in my courses and the last thing I need is to mess up a course.

Some people are saying the website is back online and working, but I still can't access anything except d2l. Is the website working on your end?

I'm worried about missing the fee payment deadline for the summer because I can't access the portal.

Hey guys I’m going to first year in computer science at MRU. I was wondering if I can retake math 30-1 in first year and then do calculus later because I took 30-1 in grade 11 and have forgotten everything.

Is this possible or do I HAVE to do 31 in Y1?

Is anyone able to open MyMRU since the cyberattack got resolved? I’m able to use the MRU site now but MyMRU still doesn’t load for me?

I had Tonya Mousseau as my prof and I did pretty bad in her course so im redoing it. Does anyone know what gned 1101 prof is the easiest?

I’m super stressed because I decided to accept my conditional offer, but when I went to pay my deposit, the cybersecurity attack happened. Now I’m worried that by the time the system is back up, I won’t be able to get into any classes, especially since my deposit deadline has already passed because I haven’t been able to access the student portal.

I’m starting first year biomedical physiology in the fall but im missing the first week of classes since I’ll be on vacation. Any advice on what classes I should take? Is 4 too many classes to take first semester ? Also I don’t understand what 18 elective units mean are they saying we need 18 elective credits to grad or 18 elective classes?

Sorry if some of theses questions are stupid 😛

what do u guys put on the school/education costs on financial aid, mru websites are down due to cuber attack. i forgot how much it was for my program. help if you guys able to apply student loan without looking at the information or fees for your program.

Going into 1st year and was hoping not to work as I want to focus on school. Not sure that is possible now. Parents help with a small RESP amount, and I have the Rutherford but that’s it. I was denied any funding.

I’m getting really frustrated with this because I am waitlisted for a summer course where the waitlist is supposed to have been dropped by now

the registrar’s office told me that most likely I’ll just have to take the course in September, which messes with the trajectory of my degree

has mru given any timeline as to when this will be sorted out?

So like with everything going on I’m getting so anxious about not being able to register for fall and winter semester.

Is anyone else getting really frustrated with the ongoing MRU cyber attack?

It's been about two weeks now, and I still can't access MyMRU or D2L. I understand that cybersecurity incidents are serious and that MRU is likely working hard to restore services safely, but the lack of access is starting to have a real impact.

I need MyMRU for things like:

• Applying for my student loan
• Checking important student information
• Accessing course-related resources
• Preparing for the upcoming semester

At this point, I'm wondering:

• Has MRU provided any timeline for when MyMRU and D2L will be back online?
• Has anyone heard any updates from faculty or IT?
• Is there any workaround for students who need access to apply for student loans or complete other important tasks?

I know I'm probably not the only one affected.
Hopefully MRU can provide a more detailed update soon because the uncertainty is becoming really stressful.

This is horrible with this whole cyber attack and I feel bad for the people having to fix this whole mess and get everything working again.

Working in healthcare right now, so I’m excited to continue that journey.

I applied for education and I got off the waitlist about two weeks ago just after course registration opened up, however I was mid diplomas and did not focus on that. Now everything is down and I'm very stressed that I'm not going to be able to get into courses. Do you think because of the outage they'll be understanding and it'll be ok or should I be concerned?

I really need to drop a course but MRU's webpage is still down.

Is there any other way to enter to the courses catalog?

Just wondering if anyone knows what to do because of the cyber attack.

Will we even have classes now ? Summer classes were supposed to start in a week and they haven’t said anything

I’ve considered reaching out to the registration office or something but I can’t imagine them being able to help if the majority of MRU websites are down
