The Village of Amara

A quick dive into the Village of Amara, from the front gate, past the Mayors house, through the fully enclosed farmland and down the cliff side into the port.

Am I Stuck with Grass Growing Through My Campfire? 😂

Can you remove the grass around the campfire in any way? I've even tried setting it on fire... surprisingly, that didn't work. 😂🔥

It's a bit odd seeing the grass clipping through the fire. Am I missing something, or is there really no way to clear it?

Finished the main story - thinking about moving to Oxbow

Title says it all - I finished the main story tonight (screenshot is me taking a break on a bench, but not knowing how to get back up!).

Wondering whether to move to Oxbow. Two questions:

Is Oxbow a smaller map?

Which map do you prefer and why?

Touch some grass

They told me to touch some grass and all I see now is broadleaf plantain and sticks. I’ve been cursed

Has anyone else found that they sometimes sell things for nothing

Has anyone else found that they sometimes sell things and it goes for 0 rather than the 168 or whatever you expected? This is happening quite often and I cannot find a significant reason. You don't get an agree box or anything. I also sold two things for 1, again not the expected price by miles. It isn't tax, it just happens.

Daughter stuck in door

Apparently while sleeping she teleported into the door.
Talking to her made her wake up and walk away luckily

Tips on building in this spot

I recently started building in this area on the oxbow map after having wanted to try it out for a really long time. I have some broad ideas (making the upper ledges mixed businesses and housing, and the swamp level primarily animals and crops), but I’d love to see how others have organized their villages here, especially if you’re willing to share maps. I primarily organize my villages in really naturalistic ways, and would prefer to use the ledges to organize as much as possible.

Jokes and Easter eggs

So.... I've been playing this game for a short while. But long enough to realise that there's something a bit humorous in a lot of things. What jokes and easter eggs have you guys found?

I'll start.

Sometimes you can hear the villager blacksmith quoting Tenacious D "The Metal"...... 🤣

Multiple villages.

I have 4 different settlements and I wish for a fast travel for each one. Hopefully the new map will have this. And be bigger

Maxed out

I've maxed out building limits but I need more. I have changed settings also. Im thinking of getting rid of one of my mines or start moving workers in together but I have management basically perfect and don't want to ruin it with a baby boom. Or I'm thinking just making seasons shorter until kids have grown up. Anyone got any ideas? Or downgrading iron weapons for all workers. Basically all my smithies (17) 😅 are doing iron bars and iron tools.

5 mines are full with workers and each with separate houses. 3 farm sheds are probably not needed also. By the last day they've finished and not doing anything. (Even on Flax harvest) or take away windmill but its probably the best part of decoration.

Game worth picking up on sale?

I love the medieval setting and love city builders so I was wondering. Is the game worth picking up?

EDIT: Picked it up and I love it. Thank you to all who have input

Two separate settlements ?

I have a fully operational village but the land where I built it is not that big so the fields take a very large chunk of land, and I want large quantities of crops so I**’**ll have to build a field with farm sheds and houses in a flat far away land but I fear that my field works in my current village will go to the far away field settlement so my question is

Does farm shed workers have a distance limit ?

My village so far (WIP)

This is my approach to an organised but also naturally growing village.

The big house by the lake is my manor, the farmyard opposite the road (2nd screenshot). Between farmyard and creek enough space for livestock. Donkeys W of my house and geese on the other side of the creek.

The W side of the creek holds the actual village with a central area (well surrounded by production facilities). A semicircular road surrounding the plaza has houses on both sides.

On the other side of the road is my campfire, the area has grown into a market place and finally the tavern.

The tavern has been fenced (tricky) for the sake of the villagers and their children and has some tables in the front.

There’s already a fence between market and road, on the W side there will be more houses. And another fence.

As you can see there’s no individual decorations for the houses yet and some houses are not limestoned.

But I have started with this concept in mind and didn’t have to shift around any buildings. Except for the warehouses on tier change, the two buildings on the island are the tier 1 versions. They look nice there, don’t they?

Just discovered something

Guys I just discovered that if you build two warehouses their chests are synchronized and doubled in capacity, so you can extend your warehouses ranges !!!
That’s so coooool (sorry for those how already knew that but I’m too happy to keep it for myself lol)
