Not impressed by the legendary animal dlc

I hadn't played for a while and decided to make a hunter character so I was happy to see the dlc and got it. Set up my town by the oxbow waterfall, and happened to get a bear and lynx trophy accidentally when looking for fur. Then I started asking vilagers for animal rumours - someone in Ostoya said there was a white wolf. Starting near Ostoya I spent a whole season hunting every wolf from Ostoya to Piastovia, halfway to Skauki, Back in the area of my village again, then one more comb of the entire Ostoya surrounding area and nothing, no white or black wolves. Then another season a person in my village told me about a legendary wisent and again, I combed half the map and found nothing but a lot of leather. I looked at player-made maps and the only ones that seemed to be correctly marked were the lynx and bear I already found by accident. What gives? It's feeling like a waste of time and a chore.

AI psychosis and Anti-AI psychosis

When ChatGPT first really started taking off I had this friend who was unhealthily obsessed with it and formed a weird “relationship” with it, thankfully he got over this but there was a time he was convinced it was sentient and he wouldn’t do anything without ChatGPT’s input it was really concerning. And there are all the horror stories.

Now there’s this maniacal subset of people who despise generative AI so much I think it also affects how they communicate with others. I know people who have ended friendships and relationships because one person hates AI so passionately and the other person disagrees. It’s unhealthy.

For example, I play dungeons and dragons (not much lately but you get my drift) and often players might make a character portrait with AI, or I create a monster or some scenery with ChatGPT to flavour the game and everyone just finds it fun. “Make a character portrait of a blue skinned female tiefling with purple eyes” kinda thing. The pushback I’ve had for even mentioning this (not to my players, randoms) is unreal. Like I’m personally destroying humanity.

It’s always the “AI data centres use loads of water” argument too, as if these people have EVER cared about environmental issues. When I was young the debate was about vegetarianism- soy farming uses an ungodly amount of water to the point that towns have gone into drought. Rice farming, agriculture in general.

This reminds me of the electric car hysteria and all of that stuff. Fossil fuel plants make more emissions in like every 9 minutes than all of Australian consumers make in a year.

So stfu about me making a picture, or compiling info about a software issue, or whatever I use AI for.

Whinge over.

Edit: just got a reddit notification saying my post is popular here so I should repost to r/fuckAI lmao I don’t think so

I have, as we say in Australia, fucking cooked it

DTs. For real I think. I don’t know how I got to this point but here I am. I’m fucking terrified and this might be the end.

Even my cats know. Either they’re aware or I’m fucking hallucinating. They keep wandering into my room and chewing on chicken bones that I don’t recognise, I don’t recall ever eating fucking chicken.

I haven’t even drank that much, but my liver is fucked. I did all of this to myself. It’s poisoning me and there is no recourse.

Idk what I’m trying to say. I’m not going to another hospital. Last time they just shamed me and told me I’m on the way out. What’s even the point of explaining? Blah blah I’m traumatised so I’ve been slowly killing myself for most of a generation.

I’d love to say I’ll miss you all, but I’m going where nothing can hurt me and I’ll have no clue. I just want to say farewell and thanks for all the fish. I couldn’t have survived this long without you degenerate beautiful cunts.

Stay safe, stay hydrated, take your vitamins and don’t forget your aunty crust. I love you all. Xoxox 🖤

AITAH for snapping at someone about my disability?

This isn’t the only person who has said stuff to me about my disability but this is constant and I snapped.

For background I had brain surgery in 2019 for a malignant tumour in my parietal lobe. I’ve had about 6 more surgeries since then and a slew of complications. As a result, I have lost proprioception in my right leg (especially the foot) and my right hand. Please understand that it’s not numbness like when you lie on your arm in bed and can’t feel it, it’s like the limb isn’t there unless I look at it.

I can’t walk up and down stairs. I use a cane. There have been times I needed assistance showering. And I’m stuck like this. I hope I don’t need to tell you that brain segments don’t grow back.

Now, the friend. I’ve known them since before I had cancer. There was recently some discussion about meeting up, until this conversation went upside down.

I have a roommate who is my best friend and helps with things that I can’t do or struggle with, one of those things is emptying the cats’ litter trays. My friend went off at me saying that I’m lazy, that I use my disability to manipulate people, that I’m capable of doing it myself, it’s unfair on my housemate etc. I sent my housemate a txt and showed my friend the reply, I asked if he has a problem with taking out the litter and if he would prefer we moved the bins to the front so I could do it (there are steps at the back) and he was like no why would I have a problem?

Next my online friend googled a floor plan of my house from the real estate website and claimed victory because the steps weren’t labelled, and called me a liar and claimed that I was a compulsive liar. They implied (as has happened before) that they think I’m lying about cancer because I had a bad prognosis but have lived far past my expiration date.

I lost it at them. I told them how I get filthy looks in public for using disabled toilets, standing up from my wheelchair (I don’t use it anymore because I need pushing), using elevators to avoid stairs, holding up buses because I’m slow to get on, etc. I just raged at them and called them obsessive and creepy for googling my house, that I wish we could swap bodies for a day, that physiotherapy can’t make my brain segment grow back, that I hope they fall on the floor and can’t get up so they can feel what it’s like, and to google it because I’m so fucking exhausted with explaining it to people. I said that people have said nasty things about them (this is true) and that I agree with them. I turned things on them with stuff like at least I clean my house despite my disability because they told me recently that they haven’t cleaned their house in years. I was beyond fed up.

Now we’ve blocked each other and I assume they’re off telling mutual friends that I’m a liar and a narcissist using my disability as an excuse.

So AITAH for what I said?

TL;DR, have acquired brain injury, said pretty mean things to a friend who said I had “learned helplessness “ and am using people who help me with tasks.
