DIY “Running To-Do” System Using L-Shaped File Folders
I made a simple “running to-do” system using L-shaped plastic document sleeves, and it turned out to be a really practical weekly workflow tool.
Instead of rewriting unfinished tasks every week, I just keep everything in one place and carry them forward.
How I made it
1. L-shaped file folder base + index tab shape
Used standard L-type plastic sleeves. I trimmed the top edge so it sits about 0.5mm higher than the inner page, creating a visible index area.
Then I cut a small index shape on the top edge (like a tab/notch). This makes each sheet easier to identify at a glance, especially when stacking multiple weeks.
2. Hole + slit
Punched holes on the left side and cut each hole open, so pages can be inserted and removed without opening the ring binder.
3. Corner finishing
Rounded all four corners with a corner rounder for a cleaner look and smoother handling.
