Question about red pigment

I had my first Pico laser session for PMU eyebrow removal a while ago. After that session the only colour remained was red.
Yesterday I went in for my second session because I wanted to target the remaining red pigment. However, the practitioner said that she first needed to check whether there was still any black pigment left. She said that if the laser still responded to black pigment she could not start treating the red pigment yet.
After testing she said that there was still some black pigment present so she focused on the black pigment again. The actual treatment only took about five minutes.
My eyebrows are still visibly red and the red pigment itself was not treated during this session. According to her, the red pigment can only be treated during the next session.
Is this correct? Is it normal to postpone treating the red pigment until all of the remaining black pigment has been removed?

Would you remove?

These brows are about 6 to 7 years old. I have only gotten one touchup since the original microblading.

lately I have felt like my brows have been wearing me and what bothers me is the bulky front of the brows. I feel like I have pretty good hair without the microblading, but it does give me a great shape.

What would you do!

I have really been thinking about it!!

Phibrows super

Second session done! Now we wait...

I have posted here before about my healing process after my first laser removal session. Today I went in for my second one and I'm hoping the results are just as good as after the first one.

First slide:

-Top photo is this morning in natural indoor light

-Second photo is 5 minutes post laser treatment in my car

- Last photo is 3 hours later with Aquaphor on them (also natural indoor lighting).

Second slide:

- Before removal (thick, dark grey brows)

- second photo is a few hours after laser treatment

-third photo is the next day

-last photo is 4 weeks post laser removal

Trust the process! Give it at least 6-8 weeks to see a significant difference. My results won't be the same as yours but I hope this helps anyone wanting to take the plunge. I'm glad I did.

Microblading removing help!

Anyone used “Removery” to remove botched eyebrows from microblading? I think they use Pico laser. I’m near Toronto Ontario but I think they are in US also. Thanks!!!

Removal 1ish week later!

Brief run down from my 1st post
- machine: deka toro
- had 2 passes: first for the black/grey, second for the redness

My eyebrows look much more orange irl, like the colour of this fox 🦊 but I am not mad at it. From afar, it looks like a light warm brown!

Healing was a breeze. My eyebrows first felt ‘sore’ the first two days but it was fine after. No skin barrier issues like bleeding or frosting of the hairs. I’ve been doing lymph node drainage massages from YouTube videos. Unsure if it’s doing anything but it’s not harming me (also very relaxing!)

I am not too sure about a 2nd session yet as I think a second laser will definitely turn them yellow and I’m not ready to deal with that yet. I am overall pretty damn happy. My entire face softened up and I feel like I have creative freedom with my make up and hair again!

Q-Switch or Fotona for yellow brows?

I has been very happy with my Fotona removal last fall until the 3rd session brought out yellow. I was aware this could happen but we were so close to total removal. Haha. I had three sessions and while it has slightly lightened, it hasn’t made much total improvement. I took about 6 months off due to other health issues and am ready to start up again. I am not sure if I stick with Fotona (my laser tech said probably no benefit of changing to another laser at this point) or go to my other medspa I do botox at and try the Qswitch. Is there any risks of switching things up? Any benefits? Like most, I want to be done with this so I can start more fun things, like the Fotona 4D facelift :). Thoughts? Thanks!

Emergency removal or wait?

My first day with microblading and I hate them. The color is an auburn warm brown when my eyebrows are neutral. Should I get the emergency removal? Or will it fade? I also feel they are a little crooked. Pics in comments

17 weeks later, went in for second removal session

She went over brows twice, different wavelengths. I didn’t think there was much of a difference but I’m blown away at the difference between where I was and where I am now. Will probably wait 17 weeks to go in for a third session.

Questions for the yellow brow club

I have had over 10 sessions on my brows. They’ve been yellow for a few years. They were almost not visible and I went to a highly recommended place for removing yellow. I’ve had 3 sessions with quanta discovery pico laser. They’ve progressively got worse with the last 3. I am 2.5 weeks since my last treatment.

Anyone who’s had removal for yellow did you experience this and were they worse at 2.5 weeks and get better as time passed?

I’ve been on this journey a long time so I do understand the worse before they’re better thing but I’m worried they’re just getting worse each sessions. Sessions are very spaced out like 3-6 months between.

I had glycolic acid removal professionally done five days ago. Is this normal?

Hello, I had it professionally done at a super reputable place five days ago. So I’m not considered it was done improperly in any way. I’m just wondering if this is normal? I’ve got red upset skin under where the biggest flake has fallen off so far. Then on that same brow towards the tale there’s very little flaking at all. I’m scared it won’t flak off. Is it too early to tell? It just seems to be going so much slower than the rest. I’ll post both brows and a before image of where my brows where at just before I got the glycolic. I was at a light yellow orange stage which took two laser sessions to get to. I suppose I’m just scared this is gonna have faded unevenly and I’ll be left with one yellow tail. Not the worst thing in the world, but kind of hoping for opinions of people who’ve been through it if this is all normal and what I can expect.

Yellow Freckles After Laser Removal

I decided to have my microblading removed. While I was there I asked if they could also removal my freckle tattoos (awful decision to get them in the first place, I know).

Mainly I wanted them removed because they were always orange. They were never brown, and from the get go, they looked bad.

Now I had two laser sessions on them (most recently, 4 weeks ago) and they are completely yellow. When I followed up, I was told that I should've been made aware that this was a possibility prior to having them lasers and that unfortunately yellow pigment is next to impossible, so I might be stuck like this.

I'm super upset. I'm really hopeful there is something that can be done still.

Not sure whether to pursue removal

I’ve been feeling quite self conscious about my eyebrows forever. The brows I have now are over 5 years old. Part of me wants to get an eyebrow transplant and it was suggested I should do some removal first since they’re grey toned. I have next to no eyebrow hair and I’m worried I’ll regret getting them removed to just look spooky, when I generally don’t absolutely hate them now.. does anyone feel better getting them removed, that have no eyebrow hair? Any regrets?

Great Removery results

Pic 1: before
Pic 2: right after laser
Pic 3: 4 days after laser

I had great results from just one visit to Removery a few days ago. They did three passes and it looked a little bit red initially but based on current level of fading, I don’t think I will need any more visits.

Not sure what kind of ink I have. Originally had them done in Turkey in early 2022. Did a touchup 6 months later in the United States and then another touchup in spring 2025. After the last touchup, I thought that they were too dark and blocky so I was excited to get them removed this year. Not sure if I will get them done again (nano?) or just let them be natural.

EDIT: looking forward to my brown brows growing back in. But I’m glad they are already darker than they appeared right after my laser session. Was a freaky look!

Final update

I’ve decided that I’m officially done with my removal journey!

2 saline sessions then 4 laser removals at Think Again Laser Clinic and I couldn’t be happier. I still have some slight shading under my left brow, but I truly don’t think anyone other than myself notices.

Feel free to check out some previous posts of mine to see the whole journey. I’m very grateful to finally be done with removal!!

Tret/ret use prior to getting laser removal?

I went to Removery yesterday for my brow removal appointment. The receptionist asked if I used tret or ret. I said yes, and she asked when I last used. Two days ago. She recommended that I reschedule. This was not shared with me during scheduling.

They advise tret/ret users to stop use for 2-4 weeks prior to the laser removal and for 2 weeks post-removal because "brows could turn peach/orange." Has anyone gotten removal while
actively using tret/ret? I rescheduled for 4 weeks from now; and will stop tret use however, wanted to inquire about others' experience with this. Thanks!
