Unsure where to go from here

First photo is my eyebrows without any makeup. I had powder brows done maybe 4 years ago.

Second photo is how I usually fill them in with makeup.

Third photo is how my eyebrows naturally grow - I have very bushy eyebrows that basically go all the way to my eyelid. The tail of my eyebrow you see with actual hair is the very top of my natural eyebrow. My natural brows really drag my face down, and I loved the structure the micro blading gave.

Do these look bad? I don’t mind filling in with makeup, but I’m afraid they look too drawn on. Without makeup, they’re leaning gray.

Major brow regret

Picture 1: How I draw my brows
Picture 2: approved mapping
Picture 3: mapping after she erased
Picture 4: final product
Picture 5 & 6: after washing at home

Hello everyone, I’m a 24 years old and I’ve wanted to get my brows done since I was 16 and figured now would be a good time.

The artist was super sweet and accommodating, however idk if there was a mixup or a lack of communication because my brows aren’t what I approved or asked for.

I have a very specific way I like my brows and I know the artist personally so I trusted her to get my vision and she did the second time we mapped it but… she wiped it off and then said I’m gunna map them again so they are even but didn’t take measurements and I didn’t look at them again before tattooing so I do accept partial responsibility on that part, however we had a design that worked and it feels like it got thrown out the window.

I feel so devastated, they are uneven because she was scared of my piercing bump and tried to avoid it (we had to take out my piercing at the appointment) they look uneven to me and the tails are way way too long and arched for what I had asked for.

I have no idea what to do and I’m just filled with so so much regret, I wish I never got it done, I’m mourning the loss of the brows I’ve done everyday for years, and I’m scared of removal because of hair loss and potential yellowing. I just don’t have better words for how I feel than absolutely devastated :(

I feel weird even complaining about them because they really don’t look bad but they just aren’t what I wanted and I can’t go back

Anyone with brows like mine?Advice and personal experience pretty please!

Hello! I’m considering starting the laser removal process next week. I’ve wanted it for a while but I’ve been too afraid to start. I worry about making my eyebrows worse than they already are. I would love to hear experiences from people who have similar brows as me.

How many sessions did you get? What laser was used? Did you have issues with yellows and reds that wouldn’t fade despite more sessions? Did you lose hair? My dermatologist told me that would happen but I see differing information online.

I got them in 2017 and had one touch up in 2019. I’ve been trying to fade them with tretinoin for about a year now without success. They are asymmetrical and blocky with patches that fell out. As I am getting older, I feel like they are aging me. Originally they were more even and a chocolate brown color. Now they are an ashy grey brown color. I was told they were semi permanent but that’s clearly not the case🤡 I always had thin and sparse brows but I was put on oral minoxidil about a year ago for my hair loss and it has helped my eyebrows too as a bonus.

Almost done!

Some yellow left over but slowly fading! I’ve done 5 sessions so far and am currently being treated at Think Again in Costa Mesa (after being treated elsewhere first). I’ve been at it since June 2025 so the process has taken about a year, but I also wait 8-12 weeks between sessions.

should i get emergency saline removal? (powder brows)

i just got my powder brows done today and i hate them. the tails are uneven and the shape isn’t what i wanted, they’re too thick for my liking. first pic is the powder brows and second pic is how i usually do my brows and what i showed as my reference.

should i get emergency saline removal? or should i wait to see how they fade? how likely is it that the removal would work?

6th Laser session

I just did my 6th session 2 days ago!! I had yellow in the inner part of my eyebrows and its faded nicely in the 2 days since my last session which surprised me honestly. Sorry I dont have pics from previous sessions because i dont keep pictures i feel ugly in for my own sanity tbh.. but there is still some reddish orange pigment left in the tail of my brows right now. I had my eyebrows tattooed twice because the first time was uneven and the second time i wanted it fixed and it was a huge mistake. I've always done straight eyebrows with makeup and the first artist gave me arched brows. I hate it so much but im gaining some hope now as I finally feel like it could be possible that they might be fully off my face eventually. It is really annoying that now when i do brows i not only have to draw the eyebrows but also cover the tattoo remains. The tattoo is VERY different than how my eyebrow hair grows AND how i always do my brows. Thankful for this sub for helping me not feel so alone. Seriously HATE that this happened to me i feel like i wouldnt have had such a reaction if she had drawn them in the shape i actually wanted but am now traumatized from eyebrow tattoos and never ever want to do that to myself again. I started in December 2025 even though i got my first brows around July 2023 because so many people kept saying they looked fine and told me not to laser. I feel 29293839x prettier now that theyre finally light enough for me to cover with makeup and do straight brows again.

Just needing a little reassurance to ease my anxiety- first session today

Hey guys, I’m sorry I’m sure these posts are super common in this sub but I just had my first session today and I’m pretty anxious. I already tend to run anxious in general but change/unknowns tends to ramp it up for me.

Got my first session today. Did a test spot a little over a month ago and it was red (irritation) for a night then faded to my natural skin colour and there was 0 residual pigment left behind in the test spot (no salmon tones or yellow) so my laser tech gave green light to proceed.

Anyways fast forward to today I went in for my first full session. First photo is immediately after once I got back to my car. Second photo is an hour later. Third photo is 4 hours later. I’m hoping it will act similarly to test spot (ie redness was just irritation in the end and went away pretty fast VS residual pigment turning red which I know is common). My brow hair did frost a tad/lighten (usually they’re naturally blackish dark brown) but I’m not worried about that. I think the red is just throwing me off despite my lovely laser tech preparing me for it lol.

As you can see the old microblading was way above my actual brow line.

I guess I’m just looking for some support or positive stories to help ease my anxiety. I’m sure by tomorrow I’ll be feeling better I’m just a bit nervous at the moment lol bonus points if anyone feels comfortable sharing their progress pics in comments to give me something to look forward to 😊

Laser Removal and Tinting

I went with one of my best friends today to get her brows removed. She had them done by another artist years ago, and I know that they used permablend Brow Daddy pigments. I myself am a permanent makeup artist and esthetician, but know absolutely nothing about lasers. I wanted to get some inside scoop on the process, so I was excited to tag along. My friend has very dark hair, and lots of it. Her tattoo underneath was very grey (obviously). The removal seemed really great, of course it need to heal as I know some pigment can come back after a while. However her brow hairs got super bleached, and I can tell a lot of them are frayed and broken. I wanted to know when would be a good time to get them tinted, as I don’t want her to be left with bleached brows. Also I’ve seen multiple removal pictures on instagram and haven’t seen the hairs get so damaged. The pigment leaving the hairs- yes. But the damage is what scares me.
She used a Q-Switched Nd: YAG
Looking for any answers from laser techs, or someone who has had the same experience.
Thanks so much!

Thoughts Please?

I am almost 7 weeks post saline removal. I have made a few posts asking questions. So if you are stumbling across me again, welcome back. These were originally a combo brow with one touch up. One laser removal session which left red pigment behind. I then got saline removal to, hopefully, remove the biggest remainder of the red pigment. Many wonder why I didn’t do laser again. Truthfully, the closest place to get laser removal done is over 3 hours away. So I decided to give saline a try. Well… they’re so incredibly red. They’re more red than they were before. No pain or swelling, the skin is slightly sensitive if scratched or poked, but overall it is very smooth and painless. This is after a wash and oil, as I do every night. The artist did the saline treatment around my eyebrow hair so when looking at the skin underneath the hair it looks as it did before going in for the treatment and that skin is far less red than the saline treated skin (last picture for reference). I am genuinely wondering if I am still healing or if I caused my brows to be more red than before. My experience with PMU has been absolutely horrendous from day one (bad artist who gave me botched eyebrows from the start). I am seriously hoping that I am still healing. I fully expect to have some scarring and maybe even some red pigment left over, the artist who did the saline treatment seemed very confident that it would remove the remaining pigment but I’m really starting to have doubts. Thanks for reading this far!😊

Realistic Yellow Brow Removal

This is several days post treatment - skin does not have to completely be assassinated to soften yellow tones - these clients never have hair loss/ bleeding/ blisters.

You’d much rather 2-3 treatments verse trauma to skin.

I did not do her initial treatments - I inherited the neon yellow- I’ve never had an initial treatment turn this way.

Only one removal session?

I got my eyebrows microbladed recently, and it did not turn out great. It was mostly ok, but one brow had a part sticking out on top, making it look strange and uneven.

Only after I left a review did the owner offer a removal. I want to have just the small portion that sticks out removed. They said one session would probably be enough.

They also said that some pink or yellow would remain, and it would be more noticeable than the brown pigment. If that is the case, why would I go for removal?

Could anybody advise? Should I do it or no? I’ve only had my eyebrows bladed, never removed, so I don’t know if I should do it or not.

I also have travel coming up in July, so I don’t want to have weird brows for that.

Thanks for the advice!

my microblading disaster and the removal journey

so, i jumped on the microblading trend a while back, and honestly, it was a huge mistake. at first, i loved the lookmy brows were perfectly shaped and filled in. but soon after, the color started fading weirdly, turning an ugly shade of green-brown. i felt super self-conscious and tried to cover it up with makeup, but it just looked worse.nni decided to go the removal route, and let me tell you, it's been quite the experience. i went through a laser removal session, which was definitely uncomfortable, but seeing the progress makes it worth it. my brows are slowly returning to their natural state, and i can see the light at the end of the tunnel.nni just wanted to share my story and see if anyone else has gone through similar struggles. how did you cope during your removal journey? any advice would be appreciated!

Laser removal with Astanza machine

I got my first laser removal on Friday and now my brows are red/orange. The technician told me the next time she will target the red. But I read that it will be very hard to remove them. Please help

Some removals with PicoWay are so clean …low power, single pass, overlap + cryo

Wanted to share this, clients brows were faded over 7 years …. But this maybe only one session … so it all depends on pigment and skin reaction …

Also in lasers less is more …

Has anyone went to Removery to remove microblading eyebrow tattoo?

How many sessions did it take? How bad was the pain? Any specific Removery location recommendations in NYC? I might go to the one in Staten Island since it's closer to me.

Also anything specific to say to them, for example the kind of laser to use?

Microblading Eyebrow Removal Update

My micro-bladed eyebrows vs 2.5 rounds of a laser - the .5 is because on the last session I had the front little bits and a small part of the tail lasered again instead of the whole of both brows.

I have a shared my eyebrow journey on a previous post which shows you some diabolical photos of my eyebrows during the process and what laser / treatments I used in the aftermath.

I hope this helps anyone going through a rough time!
