Chrysocolla Pseudomorph after Azurite, Ray Mine, Arizona
It's super tiny, but I love it.

(AA battery for scale)
First photo: One Snowflake cross
60 degree cross
Second photo: possible “gem”/“facetable” specimen
I found no similar specimens on the internet,
Every last piece allows some light to pass through.
I will be cleaning these off and selling them soon.
^^^(All funding will go to Star Garnet documentary)
I could use some advice on how to grade these specimens based on (color, strength, shape, etc)
Please comment any experiences, stories, or tips!
Anything helps
Heinrichite (Ba(UO2)2(AsO4)2·10H2O) from Wittichen in the Black Forest under 365 nm UV light. This is a 5x magnification shot stacked from 600 individual pictures.
My newest mineral added to my collection Prehnite with Epidote from Mali, Africa
When ever Benitoite is talked about, its inevitably mentioned that its "only found in California", however this is not true. California is and will likely forever be the best/premier locale for it, however it is found in a handful of other places, notably Japan. This example is grainular Benitoite in matrix, though full crystals have been found at a different Japanese locale (Ohmi River) as well. All the tiny little blue specs are Benitoite. This locale is not yet listed on Mindat, however this piece came from an analyzed batch of material confirming it is Benitoite.
It does. But I hate how this app uploads my videos.
She's a beauty... depending on the lighting it goes from mossy green to aquatic blue
Deep smoky tone with surprisingly nice light play in person.
Simple, chunky, and full of character.
It my be hard to believe for Sugilite fans, but the original Sugilite from its type local (Iwagi Island, Japan) was a very unattractive yellow brown color (shown in close ups). This piece is also accompanied by a rare mineral called Katayamalite (type locale also Iwagi Island), the Katayamalite glows a bright blue under short wave uv (shown in uv pic). These two are on an Albite matrix that glows a bright red pink color, that also has black specs of Aegirine.
Hilarious 😂
