What do YOU recommend!

The OEM floor liners go over $400 if you include the cargo mats. I decided to give this Aliexpress set a chance (was little nervous), and I think the quality is excellent. I can't say about the fitment yet because I have yet to take delivery of my YL (EDD: mid-Oct to early Nov).

This is a complete set that includes front, rear, and cargo mats with detachable carpet pieces. All for $200.

Here are some pictures I took right out of the box. I can't imagine the OEM liners being much better quality than this set.

Update from my post on Sunday. I got assigned a vin over the weekend and take delivery tomorrow.

VIN Assigned: Oct 4
Delivery: Oct 7

In early September, the number on the demo cars with the boost was 4.2. It was 4.4 without it. In late September, the number is 4.4 with the boost. A 0.2 sec difference may be trivial, but I wish Tesla could be more consistent and transparent about acceleration boost.

Regardless of whether it's included in the Launch Series or what the 0-60 numbers are, if AB is not included in the Launch Series, it shouldn't be on the demo cars of the same trim level.

I feel like Tesla is going to not actually give us AB but say it's included.

Had delivery scheduled for Friday the 16th at 4pm and decided to ask my advisor if there was a possibility of an earlier delivery. They said that it was scheduled to arrive at the delivery center on the 12th, so they could get me in earlier than the 16th if I preferred that, so I said absolutely yes! They got me moved to Tuesday the 13th at noon. So, if you have a farther delivery day than you prefer, ASK! So glad I did!

For those who have not had a chance to see the car in person, here is an inside view from the cabin camera. It’s plenty spacious. Took my family of 4 plus grandparents on 3 hour roadtrip. We had a medium size suit case, a carryon, and three back packs. Kids aged 12 and 8 and we all fit very comfortably.

Funny to think that at the beginning of the year we had zero EVs, and now we’re fully electric ⚡️😂

I finally drove our Quicksilver Model 3 and Cosmic Silver YL back to back, and they really have two different personalities.

The Model 3 sits lower, feels lighter, and is definitely more playful. Ours has 18 inch wheels and is not a Performance model, but the suspension still feels more sports car like. It is smooth, just firmer and more eager to be tossed around.

The YL surprised me in a different way. Even with the 20-inch wheels, the suspension is buttery smooth. It handles bumps much more calmly, feels significantly quieter, and still has plenty of power and fun when you want it.

For me, the Model 3 is more fun when I just want to drive. The YL is the easy winner for family life. Three kids, grandma, child seats, captain’s chairs, strong AC, ventilated seats, and everyone finally has their own space.

And FSD is a huge part of the ownership experience for us too. Once you get used to having that extra layer of assistance on longer drives and in everyday traffic, it becomes one of those features you really miss when you get into something that does not have it.

We really appreciated the YL after selling our CX 9 and spending a couple weeks trying to make the whole family work in the Model 3. My 11 year old especially loved being sandwiched between two child seats 😂

I also like having both silver colors. Quicksilver was originally what I wished the YL came in because matching twins would have been fun, but Cosmic Silver has definitely grown on me. They each have their own character.

Right now the Cosmic Silver YL still feels pretty unique around here too. I have not seen another YL on the road in my area yet.

Never thought we would switch this quickly from gas cars we genuinely enjoyed, but Tesla gave us something we did not want to compromise on: form, function, family space, FSD, and still something enjoyable to drive.

Tap the vehicle icon in the bottom-left corner of your vehicle’s touchscreen.
Tap ‘Software.’
Tap ‘Additional Vehicle Information.’
If your Model 3 or Model Y is capable of Powershare, the ‘Powershare Support’ toggle will be enabled.

Could someone see if their yl says it’s capable?

Has anyone tried this OEM sunshade? How’s the visibility of the rear window from your rearview mirror?

I just ordered this in CA…
How good/bad was this decision???
