I've been cosplaying as Batou since 2009, and Motoko Kusanagi herself has been my favorite character since I started watching SAC on Adult Swim in 2004. Back in 2013, I decided turn my old Hyundai Tiburon into an itasha by wrapping it in GITS graphics, so I just wanted to show you all to celebrate our Goddess. :D

The Itasha has long since been replaced. The wraps were damaged and decayed after 7 years (which is two more than their lifespan) and I bought a newer, safer, more reliable car since. I'll always have the plate though. :)

I know the remake is not a sequel and it is okay to watch it without watching anything else. But I've had ghost in the shell in watchlist for years now, but was never able to actually watch it, but I do plan to watch it.

Even if I watch this remake, I will surely go and watch the older one sooner or later. the question is sooner or later? I'm wondering if I should watch the older one first and then get on with the remake or watch the older version after I finish the remake.

Idk, the logical solution would be to watch the remake while it airs then go watch the older one later, but I just can't decide, honestly.

Waited so long to finally get a figure of 1 of my favourite versions of the Major. Hopefully they make a manga/new anime accurate one to go with. Extremely happy with the articulation of this fig. A bit of gap at the lower back, but a welcome trade off

I’m fan of anime series and can’t wait for new one to come out. I’ll probably make fan art of new/old Motoko as well.

Finished SAC 1st season and it put a fire under my ass to get back into drawing again.

Artist has been posted here before a few times but not most of these ones (not based on my search results at least). Seems to be a big fan of GitS and loves playing around with its characters, lol, especially various versions of Motoko.

(The 30th anniversary pic from 2025 is a little jarring since it looks like a series celebration pic, not specific to the 1995 film, and this series really started in 1989 with the manga and is now 37 years old as of 2026, but whatever. Celebrating 30 years of GitS anime for sure tho!).
