Being an antinatalist in India is hard.

As one grows older, people typically fixate on these 3 issues - job, marriage and kids.

Job, understably so (although none of their business). Marriage (why do they care so much, perverts!).
Kids. If one says that they don't want kids citing good reasons, the elders just spouting nonsense. Religion, family system, yadda yadda. It's neigh impossible to make them see light when they've willingly blindfolded themselves. As the most populous country with as many issues, it absolutely baffles me how people have the audacity to bring new life in this filth. Strong words, I know. That's how I feel. It's a disappointing state of affairs.

Spike Spiegel inspiration

Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop was modeled directly on Japanese actor Yusaku Matsuda, taken most from his role as Shunsaku Kudo in the 1979 live-action series Tantei Monogatari (Detective Story).
Matsuda was born in Shimonoseki, Japan.

In 1966, he visited his aunt in the U.S, however, extremely unhappy in America, malnourished and unable to speak English, he returned to Japan after only a year. Because he was afraid of facing his mother, he went to stay with his older brother in Tokyo. After graduating school, he joined a theatre company from which he would start to get roles in TV and develop his reputation as a noir, sleezy gun slinger in private eye (which is what served as the base inspiration for Spike).

In the 1980s, desiring to be seen as more than an action star, he moved from action films to a wider range of dramatic roles.

In 1989, although already diagnosed with cancer, he starred as the villain, Sato, in Black Rain. Director Ridley Scott and co-stars Michael Douglas, Andy Garcia, and Kate Capshaw praised his professionalism and performance, despite his suffering. He died shortly afterwards, after making a final appearance in a special television drama with Florence Griffith-Joyner, in which he was supposed to run against her, but was unable to do so because of his illness.

Very much a Spike-style "whatever happens happens" type of attitude. RIP Matsuda.
