As the title states, I am brand new. I have had both of the My Time games for quite some time now and I struggled with both of them due to the mechanics and gave up...immediately. I'm currently retrying My Time at Sandrock. I want to give it another shot because I've heard truly wonderful things about the series. I'd really appreciate any tips and tricks to help get me started. Best ways to make money, what items to hoard vs what I can sell, time management, whats more important to focus on in the early gameplay vs what can wait, etc.I remember My Time at Portia being especially frustrating with the crafting mechanics so I'm unsure if I want to give it another try. But anything that can help me just get into Sandrock without as much confusion and frustrating as last time would be amazing.

Will Amirah forgive me?

TLDR at the end.

It's my first playthrough of Sandrock (I've played Portia a couple times and loved it). I had not given anyone a heart knot and only vaguely remembered how to use it. So I figured when I accidentally found myself with Heidi and Qi as my girlfriend and boyfriend, that it wasn't officially cheating unless I had given them a heart knot.

Well, I have a weakness for pretty girls who wear boots and boot socks with skirts, so when I found Amirah, I knew she was the one for me. I raced through her romance quests and had been blissfully going steady with her. I forgot all about Heidi and Qi, except for when I had to interact with them for the story. But I stopped picking the romance options.

Well, one night at the saloon, Owen is regaling the town with a story, so I hit up all the townsfolk to chat with them. I saved Amirah for last so I could do all the interactions with her. I saved the kiss for last. Completely overlooking Heidi who was standing right next to us. They both immediately lost relationship points with me, but Heidi somehow was still my Soulmate and Amirah went from being my Lover to an Associate. She also told me to never speak to her again.

I already bought the engagement ring from Mysterious Man. So, will she forgive me, or do I need to restart? I think I'm a little over half way through this surprisingly long storyline.

TLDR; cheated on Heidi and Amirah. Will Amirah forgive me, or should I restart?

Fang romance

I recently started trying to get on the Fang romance track. I missed one or two heart dialogues because I was married at the time! is it too late? I’ve been giving him gifts each day and we’re up to Good Friend but I haven’t had any heart dialogue options in a long time. Is it still possible to romance him if I missed those first couple of heart dialogues?

A sandfishing tip to save your time!

Hello everyone, I have a quick little tip to save major chunks of your time spent sandfishing for those unaware.

When you start sandfishing, time progresses normally, though it comes to a halt when you pause to end the sandfishing mini game. While paused, the sandfish continue to move toward, and eat any available bait you throw, until they go back into the sand.

You can throw several bait out, spaced a good distance apart, so as to not disturb the other sandfish when you throw your sandfish trap, pause, and allow several to gather on each bait.

You can then unpause, throw your sandfish trap, and pause again, allowing the trap to catch any attracted sandfish. Once the sandfish trap has captured any fish, you can then unpause and aim the sandfish trap at any other thrown bait, rinse and repeat.

In the clip attached to this post, you can see I use this method to catch 9 sandfish, even when fumbling with my sandfish trap/bait, in roughly 12 minutes in game (lowest game speed), which can take longer, depending on the skill of the sandfisherman.

Another tip: pets can also catch sandfish alongside you, including kings. The more the merrier!

Coogo glitch

Mason farewell was on a Sunday so after the speech most of the town went to church. These two were supposed to be on the stage playing, and also in the church, plagued by indecision they wandered out by the tracks.

Issue with missing npc in house even when map location is correct?

Encountered this bug/issue when the npc is not inside their house even when map location or task green check arrow is pointing them inside their house

Donkey in my glass

Couldn't for the life of me figure out why I couldn't put "Stone and Glass" as the name of one of my chests... then it hit me that someone sat in my glass.

My original post got auto deleted coz of that word too which is why I'm talking like an actual donkey rn. How I wish we lived in a world where donkey isn't profanity🥲
